Hey...it's the Woodmeister checking in

My 'outing' got cancelled this afternoon, so I'm still at work :sad2:

.

Yes....Peg's COOKING! :scared1:

She bought a bird, potatoes, pre-made green bean cassarole, Stove Top Stuffing and cranberries. Village Inn is supplying the pie. It's supposed to be overcast and possibly rainy, so we'll be watching movies most of the day...or have our noses in books.

:goodvibes

When I use the bathroom, he lays in front of the door, and puts his paw under the door so I can touch his paw

Anytime you crumple up a piece of paper, he comes running to play and if you don't give it to him. He sits and stares at you. Sometimes, it's kinda creepy :scared: having a cat just sitting there staring at you

They are just like kids... :rotfl:

Oh Jackie... don't mention to Ian that the GB's are pre-made... he'll do more than ban them from the house!!! :scared1:

Has anyone seen the owner of Post 1 ?? I sent them a PM but they didnt respond yet..

We changed our room number so we now have a connecting room to our friends Cabin..

If we don't get Post 1 updated by the time we get to our second thread, the person who starts that thread will fix it. ::yes:: The tradition seems to be that the one who starts the new thread copies Post Number 1 from here to be Post Number 1 over there. :thumbsup2 That will be someone who is current on the thread so changes can be made at that time. ;)

:confused3 Not sure where Steve is these days, but probably busy with something important.

I am caught up to page 114. Of course I am falling behind on the Panama Canal thread again....:rolleyes1

Jan :earsgirl:

But we still love you Jan and if anything earth shattering happens... you'll hear about it over here...

Sounds good to me...
And I've seen him on other threads, just not ours :confused3

Morning Dudes & Dudettes! Well, I just had a lovely long weekend with Peg and our sister-in-law. And even though it's a short week, I don't feel like going to work today. But I will...and I'll survive :lmao:

We have NO plans for turkey day. I think we should just stay in our jammies and read books and pick up dinner from Boston Market! OK...we would put clothes on to go pick up the dinner and perhaps for dining at the patio table. I wonder how Peg & Jose would feel about this plan? :rolleyes1
Did you think for one minute I'd let you eat that crap for Thanksgiving?

Making garlic parmesan potatoes, the green bean casserole is from Costco it should be pretty good - let's hope and pray!

NO -Jose and I will be hiking Shaw Butte (2,104) while you baby-sit the bird cooking for an hour right???? Thanks for picking up the pies - WHAT HAPPENED with your outing? That's just CRAP! We didn't get out early, but that's cool cuz the big boss is letting me work 7-4 on Tues/Thursday's so I can Hike!!!! That sister Pam really got me motivated and GOING!

Two hikes and a bike ride while she was here and I hiked again on Tuesday - gotta get BATHING suit ready for TORTOLA - no more fat .... never mind!

Anyway HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!! yes, I'm really up at 3:31 been up since about 1 - hope I can get back to sleep or that hike is gonna KILL - :scared1:

Have a great day, guys...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

It's 6:13 AM here and been raining for hours...I could hear it every time I woke up to flip over :lmao: Hope it clears up at some point so Peg & Jose can hike.

Got banana cream pie for Jose and Dutch apple for Peg & I (made three stops trying to find a blueberry pie...no luck).

Think I'll go fix an egg for myself, need a little protein to hold me over. :thumbsup2

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!
Please don't forget our troops still too far away from home..

:grouphug:

Ok so I have a question for everyone who ever participated in an F/E...

What are some of THE best gifts you got?? I am trying decide if I should order personalized items or handmade or just normal store bought goodies.. :confused3

Thanks for your help!!

We live in a condo which I used to tell people is half the size of our last house but I recently realized that we USED our basement space so this is really about 1/3 the size. Space is at a premium. Stuff is not helpful as we are still trying to get rid of stuff, so we did not sign up for Panama Canal Fish Extender activities and gifts.

But, a few FE teams gave us gifts anyway. One was a round magnet--like a button--with the DIS-logo of the cruise and our dates. I LOVE IT!! and have it on the refrigerator that I VOWED would NOT get loaded with magnets like at our house......

Cool as DH and I don't appear to have been added... :thumbsup2 How many posts is it before we get a shiny new thread??? :surfweb:

That's a very cool gift! :thumbsup2 We received personalised lime-green wristbands which were fun...

BTW Jan, I know what you mean about "stuff" - we just seem to accumulate so much! Before we came to this house, we moved every 14 months or so and a regular de-cluttering was a by-product of that. We've been here 10 years next February and every available space is full of (that word again) "stuff"!!! Scary things are happening next year, as the garage (which, yes, you've guessed is full to bursting with "stuff") is being demolished and a new side addition being built!!! I have no idea what's going to happen to the contents of the garage but I really want it to be the start of a bright new stuff-free future... ;)

DH -snorkeling, now THAT will be interesting. I guess I must force the man to learn to swim!!!! Paul and I will be talking about scuba in Tortola... not sure about St. Thomas yet......

As long as he is not afraid of the water he does not really have to know how to swim--they ask you to wear a life vest or take a swim noodle along to help you float (some of us do not need help  we were born floating)

Jan :rolleyes1
