So sorry that your fathers day has turned out to be so challenging.

I just feel helpless...

I kept hoping that there would be something "different" or a "sign" from DS to DH to help his day a bit.. but, I haven't noticed a thing..

Just know that he's with you always. Take comfort in the time that you did share together.....maybe tell some of your favorite stories about Damien.

Don't hold anything back. It's all part of the process that you and Andy and both of your dads need to go through. Today is harder than most, but you will be ok. It will get better in time....have faith.

.....you just crack me up.....I hope the Princesses of Eastwood Manor have enjoyed their daddy's day today. Congrats Ian as this is your first year celebrating as a dad yourself....albeit a step dad....it counts too.

Yes, nothing like becoming a stepfather and a step-grandfather at 53.

I'm expecting that there will be a big family vacation one of these years. Our last one was a 4-night DCL cruise, and 8-nights in WDW.

Actually, Monica had dinner with us one night at Boma and met the sprog.

Now that things have calmed down, we've had a rough weekend. We found out yesterday that our boxer, Ozzy has boxer cardiomyopathy (heart disease). We came pretty close to losing him yesterday. Luckily we got him to specialty clinic and they were able to get his heart under control. We were able to bring our baby home today. He'll be on meds for the rest of his life, but we'll take that over the alternative.

Thanks everyone!!!! We're just so happy he's home and will be with us a little bit longer. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the specialty clinic we took him to in TN.
