Sounds good Deb... BTW... we miss you over on the PC thread... how are you feeling?

We took the kids to Yosemite last weekend, the first day it was raining.

El Capitan in the wet.

Two days later we went back

What a difference!

The park is stunning, even in the rain and snow.

Great pics, thanks for sharing with us :thumbsup2 Yet another place I have never been!

If anyone is traveling in a sideways cat 11, here is a video about it...

Thanks Michelle. I'm staying in one for the first time, this cruise :thumbsup2

Hi All!!! I'm getting the cruising bug more and more. It's been almost one year since my last cruise and the bug is bitting. Knowing that I can book excursions, Palo and spas in just three months is really kicking it up a notch too.

So DH and I talked excursions over Saturday morning coffee and we decided to do the DCL Land and Sea excursion on Tortola. We're definitely doing the hotel on a beach on our own on St. Thomas.....thanks to Monica who found such a great place. DH John said that he wants to do the waverunner on Castaway Cay. I'll skip it and let him do it on his own. Anyone want to join him??? Ian, Sukie???

That's it for this week. We picked out excursions for the following week on the western. We're doing the Turtle Farm in Grand Cayman and the jeep and beach in Cozumel. We may go to a hotel in Key West or just not get off the boat....been there many times already.

I'm getting so psyched. I'm ready to pack my bags and get this party started. WOOHOO!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

The best part is that I bought so much stuff for the 15 night PC cruise in 08 that I don't need anything for this cruise. It's all reuseable.

As far as getting dressed up on formal night and semi formal.....me and John will go for it. We love that part. And we do already have our pirate costumes so we might as well wear them. It's like halloween.....lots of fun. I love the different themed nights and like to participate as much as possible. I'm having fun!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Nice to hear you so excited Deb :goodvibes Are you feeling some better? How about John?
I am having a hard time deciding what to do this cruise and for the following one. I think I want to visit the Baths in Tortola, and maybe snorkeling in St. John's. Sara wants to go to Stingray City in Grand Cayman , we may visit the Turtle Farm too! In Cozumel we may be looking at one of the Dolphin swims, neither of us have ever done this! Key West we will definately get off the ship and wander around, again, we've never been. I can hardly wait!

Hi All.. Checkin' In.. :flower3:

Not too sure where all the days are going but, starting to get a bit excited for this cruise as it inches closer and closer..

We still don't have set excursion plans other then Parasailing in Castaway. I don't Parasail so I may do Ray's with my friend's niece while everyone else does Parasailing..

We know we want to do Palo's but not sure what night we should do.. Since we have 1st time cruisers with us, we don't want them to miss the normal mini Dinner shows.

Still wanna try for High Tea :worship:

How's everyone else doing?

I went parasailing for the first time at Castaway during my first cruise last May:thumbsup2 I loved it! I was very scared :scared1: ....but I did love it :thumbsup2 I'm only passing on it this cruise because I want to be able to budget for things that I haven't seen yet!

Hi Chelle....it's a time management thing....gotta lay flat 6 hrs, gotta get other stuff done too. I miss you too!!
:flower3:

I'm feeling good and thanks for asking. I'm working on getting these legs ready to go into a pool in just SIX months onboard the Magic. WOOHOO!!!!! Only SIX MONTHS now people. I remember when it was a year and a half away.

Kathe, this is your first time cruising as a Castaway Cay member right??? So much more fun now, you'll see.

John and I are both good and looking forward to Winter's end.

The Baths in Tortola sound great. I think many from here are doing that. It's too much hiking for me to handle. I'll do a mild excursion. hahaha.

I've already been snorkeling at Trunk Bay on St. John's. It's wonderful. You'll love it.

I don't do stingrays since the last time I touched one I was told that their outsides are covered in mucus. That cured me. I don't go near them anymore. I've been to the Turtle Farm when they were first building it. I can't wait to see it again now that it's finished.

I would highly recommend swimming with the dolphins. John and I have done it many times and it's such a thrill a minute. You must do this.

Key West is wonderful, very busy and active and quaint. It's lovely.

This will be our 7th and 8th cruises. We try to do things that we haven't done before. It sounds like you and Sara have picked out the best that there is to do and you're going to have the best time ever!!! Since we'll be sitting together for dinner, you will have to tell me all of your stories from the day. I'm looking forward to it!!!

Hey Kids!

For those of you who knew about it...I'm home from the hospital!
For those of you that didn't...I'm home for the hospital!

Had an outpatient procedure and all is well (except for the stitches where I sit!) Won't be posting a lot, as I can't sit for more than a few minutes at a time...may just be standing and reading.:lmao: Spent the night at Peg's and glad to be in my own bed. I had been worried they would keep me in the hospital overnight, but that didn't have to happen. :yay:

I may be home all next week...no excuse not to get the office/craft room straightened up now.

Take care of yourself and don't overdo. Get plenty of rest and drink a lot of fluids. :)

Pictures look fine now. Did you change them? Lovely hunk of rock there! :thumbsup2

Thanks!! That is what we are sailing in so I have copied the link and forwarded it to everyone except Sophie. Her parents will get it, but I do not know her e-mail address :rotfl: (she is 2 months old) :rotfl2:

Jan :upsidedow

You're welcome... how do you know Sophie won't want to know where her pack and play will go??:goodvibes

Good morning everybody! Hey SISTER - how are you feeling this morning? Did you get all your groceries unpacked? I'm still in search of that food item I made a note about, someone told me about this brand of food from Safeway, but when I was writing my notes, I didn't say whether it was "frozen" food, or "bread" I just wrote down "safeway - Dream Fields - black box". I hate when I do that!
(Edit: I just googled Dream Fields - it's PASTA that is low gluten!)

Anyway - I'm thinking of calling Hyatt and booking our Thur/Friday night before the cruise today... also thinking about doing some research about Saturday night and where we will stay AFTER the cruise - since we don't hit WDW till Sunday night.

Has anyone heard from Cherie lately? Just curious if she's going to be down in our neck of the woods anytime soon.

Two meetings down and two to go!!!! Then I can BREATHE again!

P.S. Jackie you left your book in the guest room. Are you finished with it? It's Death's Domain by Alex Matthews...

Well, your sister heard from Cheri....sorry I forgot to tell you yesterday! :headache:

She was down this way for a reading seminar and checked in via phone Friday night. She will be back down in two weeks for house sitting and we will all get together to play then...OK?

Big sister Dianne called yesterday to get updated on trip plans...what she has to pay/when she has to pay it. I encouraged her to look at some of the excursions, although I think other than the dolphins, the rest might just be shopping or 'winging it'.

Well, typing standing up isn't fun....so I'm off to read some other threads. Have a good Sunday everyone!

Deb, I didn't think I could get any more excited about this cruise...but you've got me really pumped now!! It's going to be a long wait until Sept  And yes, first cruise as a Castaway Cay member :thumbsup2

I'm blocking out what you said about the stingrays!

Kathe

Sept. can't get here fast enough. Luckily there's one other trip in there to break up the monotony of work to make it seem like time is going by faster. It's March already, so surely Sept. will be here before we know it.:cool1:

Yes, I know it WILL get here fast enough, just seems like a long way off right now! I also have a trip to look forward to before this one, WDW in May :thumbsup2

Just think in 90 days, suites can make reservations. In 105 days CC members can make reservations.

Its not long.....

I know, I'm already starting to think about what we're going to book at the 105 day mark. I gotta figure out when we're going to book Palo though.

You're welcome... how do you know Sophie won't want to know where her pack and play will go??:goodvibes

I am sure she will want to know. Problem is, I don't have an e-mail address for her so have to trust that her folks will fill her in or forward the e-mail to her. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Spoke w/ my non-DIS friend who is coming along on this cruise (it's Sally, DH Bill & then another family w/ a 14 yo) - she's getting more & more excited about this too.

I sent her links to all the shorex for her to start looking & planning ;)

Must admit that I'm glad the other family is coming along w/ them - then I won't feel so bad when I disappear to see my DIS friends :goodvibes

Monica: Forgive my failing memory and I have that terrible sinus weather change headache...You are booking us for Palo right???? I'm leaving it all in your totally capable hands. This travelling with a friend is nice....:thumbsup2
