September 10, 2005 - Western Cruise!

mcraft17: Sorry to butt in, but my co-worker friend told me right when we get onboard, there's somewhere you can get in line to talk to somebody about switching to early seating. The only problem is that I can't remember where she told me to go! And she leaves tomorrow to go on the cruise right before us. I'll try to remember to call her at work tomorrow (I have the day off) before she leaves and ask her. I need to try to switch as well because last time we had late seating and my son fell asleep at dinner every night, then woke up hungry in the middle of the night. Then he was tired (and grouchy) the next day from staying up way past his bedtime and ended up taking 3-4 hour naps in the afternoon. I don't want a repeat of that! But if we can't switch, I have no problem just eating at Topsiders (the buffet) or at Pluto's Doghouse (pizza and burgers) instead. :)

Holly, I just sent you a PM.

Judy

Happy thoughts guys! HAPPY THOUGHTS!!!!!!!!!

<blocking out bad thoughts>

A week from today I had better have started packing!!! I guess that means I had better start going through my clothes to see what fits and what I'm bringing. Don't forget guys... when packing... put in a couple of days clothes that are a little loose when you leave to have something that fits at the end of the cruise!!!!!!!!!! LOL Believe me when I say that lol

Donnica, I think you're definitely the biggest character in our group! And I mean that in the best way, of course! I definitely need to party with you and your troop sometime on this cruise, that is, if I can convince my kid to hang out in the kid's club for a while! :)

Thanks everyone for your kind words. My DW has read all your nice posts in regards to our loss this week and she appreciates each and every one of them.

Thought I'd try and post a pic for you of our boy - Callaway.

He was so beautiful! What kind of dog was he? If I ever figure out how, I'll post pictures of our dogs! After our Blackie died, our other dog Melody was so lonely, so I went to a pet adoption and adopted 6 month old Sadie, who looks so much like Blackie did, it's scary.

Holly I take that as a HUGE compliment! I can't say as I deny the truth in it either! I am a bit... "colorful" LOL Drinks are a must! Count me in! It's a date! :drinking1

Thanks Judy. He was an English Springer Spaniel. Good natured breed. Super smart, playful and great around kids.

Woj, What a great looking dog! Sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing the picture with all of us!

I have to see if I can get my dining assignment changed when I get on board. We were waitlisted for first and we were hoping we could get it because my DH has reflux and because we moved we don't have a doctor right now so I couldn't get the medical form filled out. So hopefully we can change it onboard. If not I am still going to enjoy this vacation!! Fltink do you know where you go to do this?

You need to go to Rockin' Bar D which is a club on Deck 3, midship. (Just off of the main loby where you board) They can do dining time changes, rotation changes and Palo ressies. (Of course, based on availability)

Jenn, thanks for that info you posted for mcraft17. Sounds like a few of us will be in that line! :earboy2:

And I do look forward to meeting you and all your rowdy friends! :rotfl:

I'll be right there i that line with you! We need to book Palo dinner. We get it as part of the REAS package but I was't able to get a ressie online. Hope we can get one there. We also need to add on additional members to our brunch ressies.

Thank you Fltink for the information, looks like we could have our own meet in the dining line :) How is the Palo brunch? I tried to make reservations online but they were all booked. I also thought about trying the high tea if I can get my husband to go along! I am definitly doing the single digit dance!!! Now to start thinking about packing!

Any thoughts on what night we should book Palo? We weren't able to book online and will be doing so first thing after we board.

N-I-N-E more days people!

well, I just got through looking at all the menus......

I am ready to EAT!!! I want some creamy butternut squash soup NOW!

Kelly - my Dh and I are ready to eat too. There goes Weight Watchers out the window for a week. The food is one reason my DH agreed to going on a cruise. He got all excited when I told him that he could order whatever he wanted even 2 desserts!!!! The funny part is you would never know he could eat that much b/c he's tall and on the thinner side. I can't wait to have a mickey ice cream bar!!!

The brunch is the BEST!!!!!!!!!! When I say crazy amounts of food, I am serious! We ate for over 2 hours last time we went. Everyone gets champagne. They have a bunch of tables set up with breakfast breads, fruit, veggies, cold cuts, shrimp, crab, etc. Then there's a breakfast menu with pancakes, french toast, omlettes, etc. THEN there's a lunch menu with beef tenderloin, fish, pasta, pizza, chicken.... THEN there's a dessert buffet! AND THEN they roll you out of there!
