September 10, 2005 - Western Cruise!

O.K., call me naive but will the credit card companies actually decline you??? I plan on taking a zero balance, new card and worry about it when I get home. Should I call them?

Some companies will deny the charge and try to contact you to confirm that your card is being used out of the country. But since you will probably be unreachable, I'd call in advance just incase. Mind you, this only pertains if you will be making a large charge like jewelry or something. Usually you'd be fine charging under $50 or so.

hehehe tomorrow is my lastday of work!!! hahaha!!! then on wednesday were off! 4 day weekened! monday is labour day! and i figured whats the point of having a 3day weekened then going to work for 1 day getting all dirty!

Just to let everyone know. Palo has lobster on Thrusday night as well. So no need count out that night to dine there. That's when my family and I have reservations.

hello does anyone have any older children going? I have a ds that is 14. He is kind of shy just wondering if someone is looking for a hang out buddy.DD 10 will have no problems finding friends. thanks..

Goooooooood morning, Cruisers!!!!!!!!! Ok, we're into game time. Time to pack, time to organize, time to be soooooooooooo

This tme next Friday, I'll be waking up in Orlando, waiting for you all to arrive!

This time next week we should be driving through GA. With the gas the way it is I am sure glad we bought our Honda Accord Hybrid at the beginning of the summer. It will take a little of the stink out of the gas price.

Morning everyone! I can't believe this trip is only a week away. Me & the DW will be working half days next Friday then catching a mid-afternoon flight down to Orlando with our DS8.

E-I-G-H-T more days people! :boat:

By this time next Friday I hope to be just south of Columbia SC on I 26 approching I-95.

Hopefully the DDs that ride in the back seat will be watching a movie, on the dvd player and won't be bothering me too much, DD17 will be in the front seat sound asleep I am sure.

Can you all believe this, we are this close to our vacation!!!!!!!
I booked this thing so long ago and now it is finally here.

I work in one of our branches with our law firm , I only have an attorney with me about 3 days a week, our attorneys travel from office to office, and just so happens they are sending me the worst one next Thursday, almost makes me want to take that day off to, but I can't afford to do that. I am sure I will be driving him crazy next week. :rotfl: I am already a hyper person so by next Thursday I probably won't be able to contain myself. No Caffine for me that day. :earseek:

I think it's very exciting that The Magic is back and in Castaway Cay! She;ll be back home in Canaveral tomorrow morning!

This time next week we'll be boarding the plane to head to Florida. Yeah!!!!!

Kristin

Yep... same here... this time next week, we'll just be checking in at the airport for the flight to FL.

The expedition for shorts for hubby didn't pan out yesterday. It seems they've all been taken off the racks for the summer. I know I'm new to the west coast... but... it's California! I thought they'd sell shorts all year around! geez. I'm not sure I'll ever get used to this place. :rotfl2:

This time next week I'll be in DISNEY WORLD!!!!!
:cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

Hello all!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah very psyched that at this time next Friday I will be on the plane!!! I will need to do some more digging through my clothes. Some of the clothes I brought on my last cruise are to big now, not a BAD thing! I can't justify going out and buying anything more new though. We don't have that much more summer here this year and hopefully they wouldn't fit me next year!

Another reason is we finally heard that my sister-in-law and family have been rescued out of NO. We will need to send money to them as they have nothing but the clothes they had on their back when they left. So very sad but so very happy they are alive and well :cool1: , with 3 more kids and 4 cats but that is another story for another day LOL

For those who are worried about credit cards and travelers checks... I have been to the Western Caribbean 9 times and never once have had any issues whatsoever with my credit cards, no matter the amount. Now travelers checks on the other hand... are a pain in the butt!!!!!!! Some places don't like to take them or won't if it's a little place. Others charge you to change them from travelers check to cash and then a charge to change it from Dollars to Pasos even though everywhere takes dollars, it's just a scam. Bring your credit card and/or debit card and use that, you ar much better off. With them you also don't have the fear of losing the cash and the card can be replaced. Some cash is always good to buy a coke or little things but not major $$$$

Mannnnnn is everyone going to Palo?????? I wanna goooooooooo :sad1:
<looking my travel coordinator FLTink's way> :rolleyes1

Now on the shoes issue... ok I can't help there. If I could wear my sneakers everywhere I go I would. Then to decide what I will take with me... it all depends on if it goes with the one pair of shoes I am willing to take LOL This year however... as FLTink says... just say yes to flip flops! I HATE over packing! I go through my clothes like this.... ok this shirt will go with those shorts... one day... this with that... two days... and so on. I bring one extra set of clothes and such just in case of spillage of some sort. Once I count out the appropriate number of days... and being sure there are FAT CLOTHES for the end... I'm done.

As yes... a seasoned cruiser I am.... arggggggggggghhh <practicing my pirate: as I would like to be certified in pirate as a second language before I leave. I hear Disney likes to hire bi-linguests.
Shiver me timbers!
you scurvey dog!
Hey matey!

<don't be a hater> :wave2:

This is kellyb's mom counting down the days. Looking forward to meeting everyone on the Magic.

:cool1:

Have no fear, Donnica! I'll snag you a ressie somehow! :o) Hey, I wanna help your sister-in-law in New Orleans if I can. Is there anything that she needs that I could get her specifically? Does she need cash only or would clothes or something help?
