September 10, 2005 - Western Cruise!

We stood up on Deck 10 last time too, facing the stage. But this time, we might want to go down close to the stage, because I seem to remember the kids being able to dance together and with the characters. Someone who has been before, is this so?

My DH and I will probably be up on Deck 10 during the sailaway party. We don't have kids and I would rather see everything and stay out of the way for the kids to be able to see the characters.

For the adults, do adults stand in line for pics with the characters too?? I would love to get a pic with minnie and Sleeping Beauty. Will anyone say anything if we do get in line?

Yes, kids have a much better time down on Deck 9. They can dance with the cruise staff and sometime, the characters.

Don't worry! There are usually LOTS of adults in line for character photos! I love gettng them done and they usually come out great!

Guess we're behind the curve - just got our docs yesterday, but that was perfect timing as they came on my birthday as an extra little treat. No upgrades this time - still category 9, stateroom 2066. But we'll be on the cruise and that's all that really matters! :) Yipee!

:) :goodvibes :flower:

We haven't gotten our docs yet. Hopefully we'll get them soon!! Congrats to everyone else!

Have fun you guys on your cruise. We are cruising the following week (17th) and I was just checking your thread to see if you received docs yet. Wooo HOoo, I liked the answer! Glad to see they are all rolling in, means ours are just around the corner.

check out our group at flipfloppincastaways.com

No docs here yet either, but I'm guessing the pattern we'll see is East Coast, Midwest, Mountains, West Coast. Are they arriving standard ground or overnight delivery?

:cool1:

got our docs today! We booked through AAA. Disney must have sent them to AAA, and the AAA mailed them to us! It's amazing they got here so soon, because AAA had our address wrong!

Greetings all!! I am new to the board, refered by my friend FLTink. I am the person just added yesterday, 3rd in a cabin, to join her on the cruise and at the wedding. This is my very first DCL cruise! I'm not all a new cruiser, this will be my 12th, 3rd this year! I have been on the western caribbean itinerary 9 times, so I guess you could say it's my favorite! I don't know how some people can book so far in advance and not lose their mind.... or.. have you? LOL I look forward to getting excited about the cruise here the next few weeks!

Welcome, Donnica! :flower: I booked this trip in July and have not lost my mind while waiting, but my son has! He asks me EVERY day if we're going on our cruise today! If anything will make me lose my mind, it's that! :earseek:
Fortunately, it's so close I can feel it!

Hi Donnica! 9 times on the western caribbean - so what are your favorite shore excursions? Inquiring minds want to know....

Good morning, Happy Cruisers! 22 days to go and I may explode with excitement soon! Welcome, Donnica! See, I told you these boards were fun! And the people are very nice. (AND a little cruise-crazy, which is always good!)

So, here's a question.....how early is everyoe getting to the port? I always liek to go as early as possible so we can get onboard when the doors open, book Palo ressies and get lunch. How about you?

Happy Friday everyone!! It is almost impossible to not think about the cruise daily for me! We are hoping to drive over to the port early so that we can be there when it opens, hopefully. I made out my packing list yesterday now just to get everything on it in my suitcase. Have a great day everyone!!

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I'm going crazy. I've had this cruise booked since August 2004.

We will be at the port early. We plan on eating a quick breakfast at the courtyard and then returning the car rental to Budget. Then riding their shuttle over that am. I want to be near the first to board. I have already in formed my not a morning person Dh that he will be getting up saturday morning with no complaining. Knowing me I will not be able to sleep the week before this cruise anyway.

Well, if I remember correctly, they start checking people in around 11am. I don't think the ship opened for boarding until about noon. And I do remember that you can't get in your cabin until 1:30.
Right now, we are getting our shuttle at 11am from the airport Courtyard, which should but us at port around noon. I think that'll be ok. I might have the shuttle come at 10:30, just in case.

No, No - I've got you all beat. We've been booked since Feb. 2004, the first day this date came out. It hasn't really been making us crazy until here recently and now we're just going out of our minds.

Good Morning everyone,
I booked in June 04
I plan on being at the port by 10:30 or 11. I want to get there early as I can.
The DDs have been informed that it will be an early morning, but they are use to going on vacation with me they say it is like boot camp, I told them that we would only do boot camp style mornings on the 9th and 10th, and then mommy plans on relaxing, I got the eye roll and the yeah right. I don't think they think I know how to relax.
We are driving down on the 9th from Roanoke 13 hour drive. I am going to try and be on the road by 5 am.
21 days from today I will be in route.
I have been having horrible dreams about me not being able to get on the ship, one time it was that I couldn't solve a puzzle the kids were already on the ship they were able to solve it the ship pulled away with my kids on it and I was left standing on the dock. Last night it was I didn't have enough tokens to board. What does that mean? Anyone else having dreams?

Been booked since May 2004. :earseek: The excitement is killing all of us!

Looking to get to the port around 10:30am. Get on board early to book Palo's and enjoy the ship before it gets crowded.
