September 10, 2005 - Western Cruise!

We also booked June 04. I'm sure we will be early also. I plan on leaving the car at the port during the cruise. I'll probably have to find something to do Saturday morning so I not sitting at the locked gate before 10:30.

We plan to spend almost another week in Orlando when the cruise is over, and before driving back to PA.

I have dreams like that all the time and I have to say that I blame these boards! In my dreams, it's always like I'm trying to do one thing but I remember a "tip" and think no, we've got to do that. Like the last dream was we had boarded the ship and were eating the buffet but I kept thinking, we've got to go to the Mickey pool right now because this is when it's not crowded.

We booked June 2004, and then sort of forgot about it, well not really, but put it out of mind, until about 3 months ago. We've had a lot going on, with selling a house, buying a house, moving, DH going on Active Duty w/National Guard and being sent to DC, and traveling back and forth to DC to see him. But now I think about the cruise about 20 times a day (everytime I check these boards!)

We are getting to the port about 11am, so we will be there early and waiting on the doors to open too! We are not doing the spa, but will probably try for a Palo brunch or dinner, if anything is open when we get there. We have already registered DD7 at the kid's club, I understand all we have to do is go pick up our pager and get her wristband?

I keep having dreams about arrivig at port and not having any luggage with me. I think I'm nervous about getting my wedding dress there!

Got a call from the TA last night and she said our docs had arrived! I'm going to pick them up today after work.

Three weeks from today we will leave for the cruise! I can't wait!

It sounds like most of us will be there around 1030-11am. My DH says I'm not allowed to ask everyone if they are from the disboards. If you see a short (5'1) blond girl and a tall guy (6'1) with no kids that will be us. And I will probably not be able to sit still.

Well, we'll all meet up soon enough. Everyone is sill planning on 5:15 on Saturday just after Sail Away in the Pomenade Lounge?

We booked onboard in Sept 2003 knowing that we'd move the date to 2005 once the dates came open. So maybe I have you all beat. ;-)

I have no idea when we'll get to the port. As early as possible I guess.

I have those kind of dreams too. My last one was that we got to the ship but I forgot to pack the clothes and had to go back home and get them so we missed the boat and had to call to see if we could catch up to it. I must be rubbing off on my husband because he said he had a dream last night that he missed the boat too. That is why we are getting there early, I definitly don't want to miss the boat!!!

that should be easy to spot.
I'll be the chubby lady w/red-ish brown hair with 3 little girls with me. I will be carrying a Tony Stewart bag, actually a lunch cooler but it is great to carry camera equipment in.

We booked on-board our June, 2004 cruise.

Received an e-mail from our TA this afternoon letting us know our docs had arrived!

Hi, everyone! Down to three weeks! Woooooo-hooooo! Ok, now I am actually starting to think in terms of packing, oganizing, etc. I need to learn how to use my digital camera and my IPod before we leave. I also need to go through clothes and make sure there's nothing else I have to buy. My pirate costume is ready to go. Donnica and I went shopping last night to try to find something Piratey fo her, but not too much luck. Though, it was terribly amusing. I kept wnating to go up to cashiers is stores and say, "Excuse me, where is your Pirate section?" pirate:

Our TA called me yesterday to tell me that our docs were in and she's dropping them in the mail on Monday.

3 more weeks! :hyper:

So, we have to make sure that all of us DISers do a lap around the decks and sign each others door signs. Anyone already made theirs??? Jay and I are making a mat frame so that all of the crew and guests that pass our room can sign it and then we'll put our favorite cruise pic in it. Don't forgt to come sign! Cabin 5637! (Unless the Upgrade Fairy visits us between now and then!)

Hello again all... FLTink and I did have fun looking for pirate clothes. I was shocked to find none had a pirate section.... hmmmm. To answer what are the best shore tours for the Western Caribbean, that would be hard for me to answer. For one, I am not much of one to do the "tours" thing anyway and two, everyone likes different things. As it is now, I like to shop and find my favorite places to relax and have a drink and meet people. My favorite places for that are Grand Cayman, Breezes by the Bay... "hurricane catagory 5" LOL and of course Carlos 'n Charlie's. I have planned cruises just to be able to go there. If you've heard stories about C 'n C's that sound just a little to outragous... they are probably TRUE! :cool1:

Donnica - is most of those places in Grand Caymen? My Dh and I are not the tour type either. We would rather shop, eat, and drink. And basically do nothing at all!!!

Then I guess we'll see you at Carlos 'N' Charlie's then, huh? Be prepared for a crazy time, though! Anything goes there. Dancing with waiters, spanking waiters, drinking shots out of someone's cleavage.... you name it, it's happened at Carlos 'N' Charlie's!

Well, then it looks like we have a nice group heading for Carlos 'N' Charlie's before we get all Pirated Up! pirate:
