I've finally caught up, I'm so sorry you guys were sick and your ex-MIL passed away, it's been one thing after another with you!
*hugs*
loving your TR and the great "blast from the past pics".
I'm so upset CP is closed for refurb in Jan when we go, wahhh...
Oh well, we'll suck it up......

Can't wait to read more! :surfweb:

just a quick FYI (some did not know about this that are also going at the same time)
Liberty Tree Tavern is bringing back the character breakfast while CP is closed....

I love Epcot. Naughty people on your ride. Shame, Shame. Super sorry about your ex-MIL. That is so hard to not be available when you want to be. MIL's can be wonderful (which mine is) or can be the worst ever (which Don's is).

Enjoy your time off. Well-deserved.

Thank you. It has been one thing after another. I'm glad you are enjoying the TR. For some reason after I loaded my pics to photobucket I didn't seem to take very many :confused3. I read about CP being closed for refurb. It really does need it though. The Tigger and friends planter as you walk in the door, it is getting worn looking.

I spoke with ex-hubby this morning and asked if he had our Disney pictures. I sure hope he looks for them.

I saw that too Connie. I wonder if they will be serving the same food as CP during that time. I do love the breakfast lasagne, yummy.

It was bad Ginny. I can totally understand kids not covering their coughs or sneezes they are kids, but adults are a totally different story. Thanks about my ex-MIL. She was really a special person. Mr. Snow was even better, how they raised Doug I don't know............:lmao:. One of my most fond memories of the Snow's is Christmas. His dad's mother wrote a cookbook and he would bake cookies for Christmas and they were to die for.

I am going to enjoy my off days. I have to work this weekend so I hope it is kinda slow.

Dana, I am so sorry you had to go through a sad time while at Disney. I know it was hard on you.

I know the Flippers location you are talking about. We used to stay near Old Town and had Flippers delivered all the time. The last time we were in Old Town, they looked like they were cleaning it up some. It needed it.

Ugh- those inconsiderate people in MS!! It drives me CRAZY when people don't cover when they sneeze or cough. Great EPCOT pics! Where is Old Town? How far is it from WDW? I'm a pizza freak! Sometimes I go to CiCi's in the plaza right outside of Downtown Disney (not Crossroads, but at the next intersection) because they have a $5 all-you-can-eat pizza buffet with salad & pasta, too! There's also a Giordano's (I think that's what it is called) down the road that serves Chicago-style pizza- which I have to be SUPER hungry to get. I would love to try somewhere new!

Thank you Lisa. After talking to Doug and knowing that he was OK it was a little better. I just felt so bad that I couldn't be there for him.

They are cleaning up Old Town. It made me think of NO when we parked. There was a band playing, people walking around everywhere, games....etc. It was really cool.

I know, right? I was disgusted that they didn't bother to cover. They were intent on the "mission". Thank you about the pix. I didn't take many that day, but I did our next Epcot day. Old Town in on 192 south east of Disney. As you drive down 192 and you go under I-4 Old Town is on your right, you will pass a Walgreen's on your left. There is a Burger King and a Pizza Hut at the entrance to Old Town and a Comfort Suites behind them. They have a little carnival type midway, with what my kids call an "idiot launcher" :lmao:. It is one of those bungee things that shoots you up in the air. There are several Flipper's pizza places in Orlando. I subscribed to their website......lol. We have pizza every Friday nite in my house so I am kinda burnt out on pizza, but I look very forward to ordering Flipper's every time we go to Disney :goodvibes. They can't deliver on Disney property though so we go and pick it up when we stay on site.....:lmao:

I'm really excited :cool1::banana::yay::woohoo::dance3:. I think I have joined every hotel club known to man and today I got an email from Priority Club(Holiday Inn..etc)with their special offers. I took a look and saw that the Holiday Inn at DTD(on Disney property) is opening in November. They just finished a $35 million dollar renovation. I thought I would see if they had anything for March and WOW they had some great prices. I got us a room for $74 a night. The good thing about it is you get the same perks as a Disney resort. So I have us booked for 6 nights March 5th(my birthday ) thru March 11th. I am really happy with this choice as it is much cheaper than anything Disney is offering. It is across the street from DTD so I think we will eat at some of the DTD places, well except PH. I want to try Rainforest and Dallas REALLY wants to eat at T-Rex. Unless they offer a better deal with the AP this is where we will be staying. I love that it is considered a "Disney Hotel", but doesn't charge the Disney prices.

Hi Dana! I'm so sorry that your ex-MIL passed away. I haven't done UofE in a really long time. I don't think the girls have ever done it all. I'm a terrible parent. Hope you're doing well. Try not to work to hard this weekend! :goodvibes

Thank you Leanne. It was really nice to do it again. Amanda, Dallas and I did it a few years back and Dallas didn't remember. He wanted to do it again on our next Epcot day, but we had too much else to catch up on.

Dana, that is an awesome price for the Holiday Inn on disney property!!! mom & dad did the Hilton on disney property in 2001 and enjoyed it just as much as the disney resorts!!!
:wave2:

Dana, that is awesome on the Holiday Inn. Sheri has points with them and stays at some podunk place in Ar every other week. She ended up getting 2 nites a a place of her choice. We got the Intercontinental in Kansas City at Christmas. The only rooms left were the Super suites 752 sq ft for free. Totally awesome. It will be a fun girls weekend out. I love deals.

I think it will be great since they are really new. Unless Disney can come up with something even remotely close this is where we will stay. Kids under 12 eat free so if we decide to eat in the hotel Dallas can eat free, now I may have to take his birth certificate to prove he is under 12......:lmao:.

Wow that sounds like fun. I love staying in a suite cause you get so much room and a fridge/microwave. I think the room at the Holiday Inn at DTD has a fridge in the room, but not a micro which would come in handy with all that left over Flipper's pizza :thumbsup2. We acutally did real well with just an ice chest at Pop. We like to have a cold drink on hand so it is either a fridge or ice chest. We never end up with enough points for free nights because we stay at so many different places.

Just like Aust when he was younger. He ate like a pig.

Sheri also is going to Las Vegas in Jan for a business trip and she got a royal suite at Caesars Palace 1750 sq ft, Living, Dining, full kitchen, 2 baths, grand piano but only one bedroom with King bed. There are 3 of them so someone has to sleep on one of the sofas but got it all for $200 a night. She is the lucky one. I've had several free nights thru Hampton cause that is Don and I generally stay. But we haven't been to a hotel since last December now (Except for Vegas and K.C at Harrahs). Don is making me a stay at home homebody.

I know what you mean. Dallas eats more than I do..........:lmao:.

Wow, her room is bigger than my last house. A lot of the time I forget to add our rewards number to reservations and we don't get points. I did add this one though. I think it is a pretty good deal since it is basically a "new" hotel. The price is great. The only way I would stay at Pop or CBR now is if they can match or beat the price I am getting at HI. I like the idea of a zero entry pool too. If we go in March we will have to go back in May so we can get new APs and use our one day ticket to upgrade. I am planning, planning, planning.........:lmao:. My ex asked me today why we didn't just move to Orlando?

Boy do I feel dumb :upsidedow. I was looking through an email account yesterday, that I never use, and what did I find? A pin code for 4/11-6/3/10. The offer is for 30% off Value, 35% off Moderate, 40% off Deluxe and 45% off Deluxe Villa. I don't know how the code went to that email address because I don't remember ever giving it to Disney. The only kicker is I have to book it by today and it is for later in the year than I wanted to go, but now I think we will go the last week in May so I can see Leanne and Mary. And maybe Amanda can go with us. Maybe we can do a quick weekend trip before then. The other good thing is I can renew my APs then too. I'm at work today so I will have to find the time to call Disney and see what they have.

OK called and got our ressie made for Pop May 24-30. For some reason they were having a hard time with the code, but she finally got it to work :confused3. Total for our room is $519 which I think is a great price for Disney. Now, I will have to cancel the one at HI for March, but that is fine. I like doing room only because you only have to pay one night and don't have to pay the balance until check in . That gives me more time to save up money. I don't have to wait for any AP codes now :woohoo:.

Pop here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
