Hey Dana Congratulations on your 22nd anniversary! My husband and I have never been to Disney before and we are going to be going on September 28th 2009 until October 5 2009 we can not wait We are also celebrating our Anniversary but its only our 2nd but its going to be our Special one seeing We never got to have a honeymoon and also did nothing for our 1st Anniversary all due to money. My husband is a very picky eater also and I can not take it seeing that every menu I have looked at for a Sit down restaurant so far he wont eat anything on the menu. I am having a hard time finding a Romantic restaurant we can get dressed up and go to one evening.
He can order off the child's menu in any resturant; so that way you can enjoy the atmosphere of any place you would like to try...(Dana isn't that what Dallas plans to do???)
Congratulations! on your anniversary and finally being able to experience the magic!!!

My DS is letting me off easy. He wants to by Wolverine. I can buy everything he needs at any KMart! :thumbsup2 I'll probably end up making the girls' costumes, depending on what DD7 chooses. If she wants a princess, I'll order her dress from the same place I got the Aurora dress for our last trip, because they're as good as home made in terms of quality and not terribly expensive. I'm pretty sure I'll have to make the baby's costume, just because it is hard to find the kinds of costumes we're planning in infant sizes, but one out of three isn't bad.

Maybe Dallas will want something simple like that. I have been looking at some of the costume sites and they are really pricey. The first MNSSHP we went to in 1999 Tyler dressed like a surgeon. I may get some scrubs for Dallas and let him dress like that because scrubs are cool and lightweight.
I can't sew so making anything is out of the question.

:welcome: :thanks:

Congrats on 2 years :thumbsup2. Hey, it seems like yesterday we were celebrating our 2nd anniversary. You will love being at Disney. There is not place like it on earth. Your first trip will be the most memorable. What does your husband like to eat?

That is true. Yes Dallas is going to order from the child's menu. He would never eat anything on the adult menu so we will not even try.

I'm in! I love reading peoples trip reports when they go the same dates as me :) I didn't have a chance to read everything yet but I will hopefully later today!

I saw a picture of you in Leanne's TR!!! I said hey! there's Dana!!! LOL Man, I wish I could been there, looked like fun!

Oh good....I talked to my mom last night, she said also that my sister not coming is not an option, so they're helping with her too....thank GOD!!!! So, I'm excited about september too....you can make your ADR's on sunday, right? Awesome!! I'm having a bad day here at work...co-workers...wanna strangle one of mine!! But, one more hour, and I'm DONE. I'm sneaking on periodically, cause I'm bored. LOL

I know you are happy about that. I swear it seems like the closer we get to paying off the trip the more I owe . Only $100 left and I have until August the 14th. I will pay it off in the next 2 weeks. Yes, I get to make my ADRs Sunday. I have been playing around with the on line thing and I don't know if it is because I am more than 90 days or what, but I can't seem to get it to let me go 90 + 10. If I can't I will be on the phone. I take my computer to work with me sometime and if we are not busy I will go on.

I finally made it over here. :wave2:

We've already talked ADRs, so my next questions is where in Pop are you hoping to stay? The more I look, I think I'd like to be in the 50's Lady, parking lot view (I'm hoping not too many people actually REQUEST that view, and I might have a better chance of getting that building). My next best would be lake view in Tramp. After that, 80's and 90's, but let's face it, a walkman and a laptop are not as cool as Lady and the Tramp.

Good luck Sunday, and remember, online ADRs roll over to the next day at 6 am est. I was done before those phone callers' even started dialing!

Yaaay!!! Saturday!!! I think we're gonna head over to universal today, ride some stuff we didn't get to do last weekend, like the simpsons, ET, disaster, that sorta stuff. Gotta make your ADR's tomorrow, any last minute changes? Man, mine changed I don't know HOW many times. I'm happy with the end result tho, and so it Ma and Sis, so that's what counts, right? I'm lucky, Tyler will eat almost any kind of meat, Steak, Chicken, Pork, Hamburgers LOL Just not the side items, I usually make him TRY the other stuff tho....he's learned that he likes broccoli that way!! HAHA Anyways, better go hop in the shower....I'll try to take pictures today....we don't have Samantha, so it's just us 3 again!! Enjoy your saturday, hope the weather is good!

:wave2:Thanks for coming over. :welcome:

I have thought about the 50's and the 80's. Dallas likes the 80's. He wants to be near a pool. I have promised him a pool day since we didn't get one in May.

I have my alarm set for 5am so I can be up at my computer at 6am and awake and alert to make my ADRs. I am really hyped about it.

:woohoo::yay:It is Saturday, all be it a hot as hell Saturday, but Saturday all the same. Dale and I ate lunch at a seafood restaurant named Felix's Fish Camp

It was amazing. I had crab soup with lots of Gulf Lump crab meat, fried shrimp and a baked potato. I had to have a mimosa to get my day started too...........:lmao: I hope you have a great time at US. If I were off next weekend we would come down to Orlando and go to Disney, but I have to work Saturday and Sunday. I wonder if I could get somebody to work for me?hmmmmmmmmmm

Well, it is a no go on getting off. I asked the only nurse I knew to ask and she has plans for next weekend. OH WELL. I also got the elusive pin code in the mail today, I was so excited :woohoo:. Here I am thinking I could possible get a discount on my upcoming vacation. So, I waited and debated on wither or not I should call. I just got off the phone with Disney and guess what? It would have ADDED $20 to my package :sad2:. Like I said, Just my luck. The CM asked me if I knew when I could make my ADRs and I told her yes, I would be on line at 6am. I asked her if the on line system was causing any problems and she said she had actually used it twice herself and found it to be easy and she didn't have a problem with it at all. We shall see :surfweb:<<<<Me at 6am, only instead of coffee it will be :drinking1 Yep a diet Coke.

Love the diet coke/cat picture (another LA disser:cool1:) : Dana, she's closer to N.O. than I am...:dance3:

watching the tropics? there is something out there now; I hope it comes this way it should only be rain maker and we certainly NEED the RAIN!!!

I know I know "BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR"...don't scold me too bad:confused3...it's still early and most of these are just rain makers from history's point of view...the flooding is the only problem, I know :umbrella:

Dana, sorry you were not able to get off this coming weekend!!! and the code
same thing happened to my mom when we went this last time...:upsidedow it was cheaper to go w/the current special:woohoo:

Can't believe I forgot...I hope you do not have any problems w/your ADR's in the morning...can't wait to hear how the new computer ressies go...:rolleyes1

:lmao: I love the pic. Are you watching the tropics :scared1:. Not this early, oh no :sad2:.

So far this season I'm using this site:

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gtwo_atl.shtml

The spot of interest has gone from yellow, to orange and back to yellow, so it should be ok for now.

We stopped at a Wendy's in Mobile on our way to Atlanta when we left for Gustav. We left with my parents and my dad was ready to turn back then, before it even made landfall. I don't know what his problem is. :confused3 Was I worried? HELL YEAH. We had 20 feet of water in our house for Katrina, but I'm not stupid. If it's going to happen, it's going to happen, and being there won't stop it. So we will watch and wait. Disney is paid off, so we will go, no matter what happens. Hoping for a nice quiet season.

That is a cute picture!! I know we need the rain too. My grass crunches under your feet as you walk. It rained at my house yesterday and today, for all of about 10 minutes. Just enough to make it REALLY hot when the sun came back out.

Yeah the early ones usually are just rain makers, but what worries me is when the season gets started too early it could mean some bad stuff later on.

Gosh, I can remember Camille it was late in the season to be only on C. Wow, what a night. Do you remember hurricane Elena in 1985? My first husband and I were in NO with our friends. We had such a great day that day. We went out on the President, I had my first O' Brien's Hurricane and we ate in the courtyard there. We went to the zoo.

This is a picture of that day. This is, or course me, and my friend Dee. See the storm clouds coming?
meanddeeinNOzoo.jpg

We stopped at the McDonalds in Slidell and we heard a State Trooper talking about the hurricane. It had turned on Friday and went back down the coast of Florida then it turned and came back that Sunday. We drove over 100mph back to Mobile from Slidell.

That soup is Out Of This World good. I have it everytime we go there. And you can never go wrong with fried shrimp :thumbsup2.

I know what you mean. We can't change what is going to happen. I think this is just a blip on the map. We know living here on the Gulf Coast we may have to face a hurricane. I don't like the idea of evacuations. As a nurse I really can't leave anyway unless I just happen to be off work. We left for Ivan and it was a TOTAL NIGHTMARE trying to get home. Now, don't get me wrong, NO is a place that needs to evacuate when a storm is on its way. I haven't been back to NO since before Katrina and I miss it. I spent my first honeymoon at the Days Inn on Canal Street. And my second one in the Supersome yelling "Who Dat?".......:lmao:.
