I was a little worried about not having a refrigerator too since we are staying at Pop. I bought one at Target last September when they had all their college dorm room stuff out. I paid just $40.00 for one of those cube size ones. We measured how big it was and we could stack two six packs of coke on top of each other and had more room. So, I figured we'd bring it along since it's not any bigger than an ice chest. Now that our daughter is coming with us, we may not have room in the trunk of the car. Should we rent a fridge? Should we bring the collapsible ice chest? Decisions! Decisions!
I think unless you need to have milk in your room the small collapsible one should be fine. Another way to go is to ice down a six pk a night and just use ice and cups for the hot ones in the room and save the cooler one to walk out with. In the past we have always had can drinks and just filled the ice bucket and used cups in the room. Now that we have Ashton we have pedisures to cool so we needed something a little more. We barely used what we iced down. We would fill our resort cup when we left and again when we returned and again when Danny went take a smoke break.:drinking1

It is funny you mentioned the little fridge. I was just looking at the 12 volt coolers that you can get the adaptors for and use as a fridge or warmer. Dale says we don't need it because he will just get ice at the resort and keep our cooler full of ice. Last year, when we stayed at ASMu, we got a fridge in one of our rooms and it took it forever to cool down. At first we thought it was broke. I think a cooler of ice will be fine since it will be for water, drinks and a few adult beverages...........:lmao:.

Dale likes to drink coke over ice, but I like mine straight from the can :drinking1:lovestruc.

It we are close to the food court we will buy the cups, if we aren't close we won't buy them. We last had them when we stayed at POR and we were so far from the food court it wasn't worth it. We find it much cheaper to just buy a couple of 12 pks of drinks. We have so many of those cups I don't have room in my cabinet.

I was up at 5am with diet Coke in hand at my computer. The first ADR I tried was Le Cellier, with a 5 day date range at 2:45pm and there was NOTHING :scared1:. So I changed the time to 12pm and I GOT ONE :woohoo:.

So here is my list

September 26th
Tony's 5:35 pm(I really wanted Sept 29th, oh well)

September 27th
Captain's Grille 1:25 pm

September 28th
Crystal Palace 8:20 am(I wanted Tusker House, but they only had an opening the same day we do Le Cellier)

September 29th
Grand Floridian Cafe 5:30 pm

September 30th
Sci Fi 6:50 pm

October 1st
Le Cellier 11:40 am

October 2nd
The Wave 12:00 pm

All done and finished at 5:50 am.

It was amazing to me that they did not have a Tony's on 9/29 for dinner, but they did have a CRT . I think my boys will be ok with the choices I made. I can start planning the rest of my trip now :thumbsup2.

HI!! Your ADR's look great! I see that you will be having lunch at Le Cellier, we are too. I tried dinner for 4 nights and nothing was available but I'm still excited that we got in. :cool1: We will be at Disney from the 11th - 20th so just a few days before you, so I'll let ya know how our lunch went. Have you looked at the menu yet? I can't decide what to get, but I have plenty of time. :lmao:

Now that your ADR's are made, on with the show. :wizard:

I too tried for evening times, but there were none during our stay either. We had lunch there in May and it was FANTASTIC. I had the mushroom Fillet, DH had the hamburger and he said it was great too. You will have to let me know how the heat and crowds were too. I am looking forward to the Food and Wine Festival. I think I may but using up all my snack credits there...:lmao:.

I'm glad that you liked the lunch there because I was a little worried about it. I feel sure my two girls will have the hamburger, but I have no idea what I will get. DH will be easy because he likes everything. :thumbsup2 What is good for dessert there? This is our very first time so I am real excited about it. For some reason, I have never tried to eat there until now. I guess I just never payed attention to it before.

Hi Dana! I have a lot of catching up to do but wanted to say Hi and let ya know I haven't forgotten ya! Hope you're doing well!

Hi, oh I missed you!!!! I'm so glad you started up another pre trip report, I just saw it now!!! Yahoo!!!!! I gotta go back and read through it all, but I just wanted to say Hello. We're going back next year and I was inspired by my2disneyboys to start up a pre trip report really early. So I will start that tonight:cool1:

We were so full after the appys and meal we didn't order dessert. The whiskey cake sounded good though. I too had never eaten there, but one of the nurses who works with me said it was great and I wanted to try it. BOY am I glad I did.

Ya'll are funny, we used to sometimes wish for a hurricane to pass by, then the military sent us to orlando!! HAHA OF course now that I have my own house, it's different!! LOL

GOING BACK IN HISTORY A BIT...:rotfl:
don't know how I missed these...you are moving so fast now that it must of advanced before I was able to read...

That is a cute picture!! I know we need the rain too. My grass crunches under your feet as you walk. It rained at my house yesterday and today, for all of about 10 minutes. Just enough to make it REALLY hot when the sun came back out.

Yeah the early ones usually are just rain makers, but what worries me is when the season gets started too early it could mean some bad stuff later on.

Gosh, I can remember Camille it was late in the season to be only on C. Wow, what a night. Do you remember hurricane Elena in 1985?
Until about 1992 Andrew(Dayne was a baby--and the tornandos were really bad) I really don't remember any particular hurricanes; they came and went in my mind up until than--too young/immature...I don remember Hurricane Juan because of the flooding I must have wanted to do something when it passed that I remember it:laughing:

I know what you mean. We can't change what is going to happen. I think this is just a blip on the map. We know living here on the Gulf Coast we may have to face a hurricane. I don't like the idea of evacuations. As a nurse I really can't leave anyway unless I just happen to be off work. We left for Ivan and it was a TOTAL NIGHTMARE trying to get home. Now, don't get me wrong, NO is a place that needs to evacuate when a storm is on its way. I haven't been back to NO since before Katrina and I miss it. I spent my first honeymoon at the Days Inn on Canal Street. And my second one in the Supersome yelling "Who Dat?".......:lmao:.

We finally got a really good downpour yesterday!!! :yay:they even said a dry front passed through and the high today in New Orleans is suppose to be only 94 so that means about 98 for us. Wow a cold front:rotfl2:!!!

:wave2: Hello fellow LA DISser. I'm in St. Bernard. That's Jezzie in the picture. She was a St. Bernard Katrina rescue. We both found our way home. :goodvibes

Glad you and Jezzie were able to find your way back...I know we have alot of people from St. Bernard, Chalmette, and Arabie that have moved into our area. Our local elementary school went from K-8 250-300 kids to 450-550 after Katrinia. I'm just on the northshore on the Tangi/St Tammany parish line.
Orginally from Jefferson Parish westbank; here for 12 yrs.:)

I was 6 when Camille hit and we rode over to Biloxi afterwards and it was horrible. You know that feeling after a hurricane, there are no words to express how you feel. When Frederick hit Mobile in 1979 I was a junior in highschool it was a mess. We were without power for 3 weeks and the tropical heat those things bring in :scared1:. I remember it was Georgia Power that got our lights back on in my neighborhood. I'm praying for a calm season because that Gulf water is HOT right now and if a hurricane gets in the Gulf we are in TROUBLE.

Ya'll are funny, we used to sometimes wish for a hurricane to pass by, then the military sent us to orlando!! HAHA OF course now that I have my own house, it's different!! LOL

Before I became a nurse I didn't mind them too much because it meant time off work. Now if they were gonna be bad I didn't want anything to do with them, but a little Tropical Storm wasn't too bad..........:lmao:

Yea, it's funny how things change as you get older huh? Time off work, a free vacation on the military, that was the life, BUT, at what cost? We lost ALOT of stuff in Wilma, to include a minivan I had....some outdoor stuff, you could see where the waterline on our house was down there. We were out of our house for 6 months, shoved in a VERY small 2 bedroom vacation trailer, with a dog and a cat, over thanksgiving AND christmas, it was HORRIBLE!!! So, after that, it's yep, I'm all for a slow season!!

I wish I still had the attitude I had when I was 24, it was before I had any kids and I would just go with the flow. Of course, now it is a totally different story. 6 months in that close a quarters and you still have your sanity? WOW you are a good woman :thumbsup2.

Yep...I had a JOB!! LOL I was Teller Supervisor down there, so I was just at work all the time!! I was about ready to kill the dog tho. We had the tub/shower combo in the ONE bathroom, and I fell coming out of that thing I don't know how many times. I got good at catching myself tho! Chris goes to Miami tomorrow, but his "green team" thing doesn't start until the end of July, so he's getting more time off!! Lucky him huh? That saves on the babysitters!!!!
