I was really surprised that he liked it. He is a big boy, but he is still my baby and I think maybe I have babied him too much. Thank you Ginny, I was really worried when he got H1N1 because of his asthma. Again GOD is good. I prayed all the way home from Disney that day and I still pray there is no lingering effects. I really worried when he had some problems a couple weeks ago.

Hope you are enjoying your day off. Bummer to work the weekend but you manage. Don used to have to work weekends and nights. Our girls didn't know what to do when he got to go to Sunday-Thursday. To be off Friday and Sat was wonderful for them. He didn't go to days till about 10 years ago. He is #20 on the seniority list out of 420 so he pretty much will always be mon-fri 600-230 till he retires next year. He is going to bid off the fork next time he bids jobs which will be 11/30 cause that is when he bids vacay for next year too. He is the oldest warehouse employee there but younger ones are higher on the seniority list cause they started right out of highschool. He has been there 30 years.

Work is going pretty good today so far :thumbsup2. Actually getting to work with my sister. One of our regular nurses called in and my sister's unit is closed so they called her first . Dale has a m-f job, but his hours are not as good as Don's. He goes in at 7am, but he gets off when he finishes his route, sometimes that is 2pm and there have been times it was 8pm. He has been with his company for almost 30 years. That is a long time.

THANKS CONNIE

How fun working with your sis tho.

Don normally works an hour over every day but since he got hurt the doc still has him on restriction of 8 hrs a day. I think after Thanksgiving he will lift that. Don has liked no overtime. The extra money is nice but he likes being home early every day. He has decided not to schedule any weeks for vacay next year so he can just take a day or so when he wants. Then he will take from Thanksgiving to the end of the year off and be done. Fine by me. We will take some days for our cruise but he can just turn those in when he wants.

It was pretty nice working with my sister. We never see each other except at work. She live about an hour and a half away from me so we don't get to go out to lunch like we use to.

Dale is salaried so it doesn't matter how many hours a week he works so overtime for him is like a freebie for his company :scared1:. I don't blame Don for wanting to take the time at the end of the year and be done. I don't even think about retirement, that is just too far off for me :sad2:.

OK, I know I have been so bad at updating here since I started a PTR, so I am finally going to update .

Thursday, October 1st it was Epcot day. We got up and got ready. We had an ADR for Le Cellier at 11:40 so we didn't eat breakfast. Dallas and I had decided we were going to try Soarin', yep me, the person scared to climb up bleachers, and Dallas, scared to look up at the sky when he is walking. We got to the park and I had to get my bag checked. We knew we needed to head to Soarin' first.

Of course I took pictures along the way
DSCF4062-1.jpg

I was going to take a picture of Dale and Dallas, but a very nice man asked if we wanted him to take a picture of all of us?
DSCF4063-1.jpg

Again you can see Dallas has a hard time posing for a picture.

So we get to Soarin' and get in line. It wasn't too bad, the wait was about 30 minutes.

DSCF4074-1.jpg

While we were waiting Dale kept telling Dallas and me that we were going to hate it because he knows we are both scared of heights. We decided we would just sit on the back row so we wouldn't be lifted so high when it started. Now, I do have to add here that the queue area for Soarin' is less than interesting. I actually found it to be rather boring and plain.

DSCF4070-1.jpg

Anyway, we get to our seat and Dallas had to put his shoes in the little compartment under his seat. We sat back and Dallas and I held on :lmao:. The lights went out and the seats lifted. WOW, it was AMAZING. We absolutely loved this ride. We got off and headed straight for a fastpass to return later. Next we headed to World Showcase so we could trek around the World before our ADR at LC.

We rode the boat in Mexico (Bad picture)

I wanted a Margarita so we stopped at the stand outside Mexico and I got one

Photo_100109_001.jpg

It was OK. Much better than the one I got last year. We rode Maelstrom and headed to the bakery so I could get a school bread for later. It was a really hot day so Dale and Dallas wanted something cold, so we stopped at the little stand near Morocco and they got Root Beer Floats .

While we were waiting I took a few pictures of Dallas. I used my cell phone. For some reason the batteries in my camera would not fully charge overnight :confused3.

Dale got the floats and we found a table to sit down.

They get so mad at me for taking their pictures all the time, but I like to take pictures, sue me :lmao:.

When they finished their ice cream we started walking around WS again. Another first time for us we headed to The American Adventure.

Photo_100109_020.jpg

I was totally awe struck by the performance here. I cried when they sang "The Battle Hymn of the Republic". My ex says, "You do know that is a Yankee sympathizer song don't you?":sad2:. I said "You do know that war is over don't you?" I also reminded him that his dad was from Ohio and mine was from New York.

It's really nice you and your sis get along. Mine lives across town and I haven't seen her in about 3 years now. She did send me a birthday card this year. I heard that her husband was retiring and closing his shop. I speak to my niece and nephew and they haven't said a word about it.

Don used to have a salaried job. They worked him about 65 hours a week. His pay was good and we had good benefits. He got mad one day and walked right out the door. After I shot him and treated his wound I forgave him. :rotfl2: He probably wished I had of. We worked thru it and life goes on. I did tell him never again quit before you have something else lined up. I have had 3 jobs my adult life. A clinic for 12 years, the neurosurgeons for 17 and psychiatrist 7.

You have a good day tomorrow. My last work day of the week.

What a great update. Soarin Rocks for sure. I so can't do bleachers, ladders or stairs that are not filled in in the backs. I can do up it's the down I can't do. And cannot be on anything taller than a step ladder, first step, not the top. But I love Soarin. I even did the front row. It was the best.

Love the pictures. I'm like you with the Americanm Adventure. Love it you displaced Yankee.

When we got out of AA it was time to head to LC for our ADR. We walked on around to Canada and I think we were the first people there :confused3. Our ADR was for 11:40, but the place was empty. There were two other tables with people. At this point in time I remembered I had put extra batteries in my camera bag :sad2:. I got a few pictures of course :rotfl:.

Dale got a hamburger :sad2:

I got this. It wasn't as good at the mushroom filet mignon.

And this is Dallas'

Dallas got an ice cream sundae, but I didn't get a picture.

After we finished eating we headed back to WS to finish up our rounds. Since it was the Food and Wine festival I wanted to at least try a few things. I tried a crab cake, bread pudding and a beer from Germany. I gave Dale the beer, yuck, it was dark beer. I ate the bread pudding and a couple of bites of the crab cake. We finished up the walk around WS and went to ride Soarin' again. It was better the second time :thumbsup2. After Soarin' we went and rode Nemo.

We walked back toward the front of the park and rode SSE.

After SSE we went back to the room for a while to rest. We were really tired and decided to stay in the room. I can't remember what we did for dinner that night for our CS meal. I think Dallas and I were tired because we were already sick, we just didn't know it yet :scared1::sad2::sad1:.

Soarin twice. Totally awesome for you. Makes me proud. Sorry this was when you started getting sick. I would love to be there in wine and food festival. Maybe someday.

Dale works a lot of hours too. He really doesn't have any benefits with his job though. I was working PRN when Dallas was a baby and when he was 2 1/2 I went back full time because the insurance was going up to $125 a week at Dale's job :scared1: I have had several jobs in my life. I had my cosmetology license and did that for a while. Then I worked as an optician for about 5 years, after that I worked at Sears Telecatalog as a supervisor while I was in college. I have been in nursing for almost 17 years.

I hope you have a good day tomorrow, I know it will be since you have the rest of the week off. What are your plans for Thanksgiving.

Thank you. Soarin' does rock :thumbsup2. I can't wait to go on it again. I have a bad fear of heights and I have had that fear for as long as I can remember. That is the reason I don't do roller coasters.

 Thank you. We will do the AA next time too. I am glad we did a lot of "new" stuff. We will do them again. I loved my dad's accent. He was from Hell's Kitchen and he had that deep New York accent :rotfl2:.

:woohoo: Soarin' :woohoo: I didn't even realize we were getting sick. I just though we were tired :confused3.

Hey! Dana see you have more updates!!! need to come back later to see what fun ya'll had...really need to get off the computer and get something done!!! Dayne is still not home and putting a real crimp in my plans!!
:wave2:

Well look at Mrs. Dana and Master Dallas......riding Soarin' not once but twice in one day! :thumbsup2 I am so scared of heights but I love Soarin'. I have to turn my head when you get to the top of the mountains parts but otherwise, it's fabulous.

It looks like you had a good lunch at LeCellier. We have eaten dinner there before but not lunch.

The camera problems are ringing a bell for me.....you know I have camera issues each trip.:sad2:

Looking forward to reading more.

Little did we know this was our last day in the parks :sad1:. Dayne needs to get home and stop worrying his mom. Don't these kids realize they are making us old? :lmao:

OH YEAH WE ARE TOUGH :woohoo::banana: I am going to try the front row next time :thumbsup2.

Le Cellier was good, but I think we are going to skip it in May. The steak at Grand Floridian Cafe was amazingly good too, so I will just get one there.

I hope the Birthday Donkey brings me a Canon Rebel :lmao:. Everyone I know who has one says it is great camera and I know the pictures are really good.

I don't have much left of this report so I will be able to devote all my time to the May PTR.

I'm so happy to hear that ya'll liked Soarin'; that was one of my must do rides when we went in May and I missed it and it was my own fault...oh well next year...that's why I'm going back...:yay;

:wave2:

I am going to bake a chicken and fix all the other stuff to go with it. I am gonna get the kids to help me bake a cake and fix everything. Dallas wants to frost the cake :scared1:.
