I'm happy the weather didn't get TOO bad there. Have a great Wednesday!

I know I have been bad about finishing up this report so I have got to get to it. When I left off we had been to the MNSSHP and made it back to the room and ordered pizza.

Wednesday, September 30th we had an ADR for Kona at 2:15. We got up, got ready and went to the food court for breakfast. We all got pancakes and bacon, juice and a chocolate milk. I also bought a mug, yeah late I know, because I wanted a diet coke and they don't have them in a bottle at the food court. We got in line and I swear it was argue with the cashier day. I don't think anybody in line that morning knew how to use the DDP :sad2:. By the time we got to a table our food was cold, but we ate it anyway. I was really shocked at how much the food would have cost without the DDP. For 3
orders of pancakes, bacon, juice and mile it was $48 plus change, and that didn't include my mug. We decided to go to AK again for the day so after we ate we headed out.

The first thing we went for was KS since it was cool and they say the animals are out better then. I haven't noticed much of a difference really, but along the way we saw the dancers and I wanted to stop and watch them.

Well, while they were setting up they started picking people out of the crowd to come and dance with them. I wanted them to pick Dale, but no it wasn't Dale they picked................it was Dallas :lmao:. I didn't want to be picked even though I love to dance. This was so funny.

As you can see Dallas is NOT a dancer. The kids around him were just standing there too. The one little boy was trying to plan his escape.... LOL He is so much bigger than all the other kids around him, I swear he look like Will Ferrell in Elf.

After Dallas made his off off off Broadway debut, we headed on over to KS and I took more animal pictures.

After the Safari we decided we wanted to go to Conservation Station. We have been to AK more times than I can count and we have never rode the train to CS. Boy we were just smack full of first times this trip...........:rotfl2:.

We walked around CS and really enjoyed the time. I took several pictures inside and then we headed out to the petting area.

Once we got outside we saw them getting ready for a demonstration. We took a seat and watched the show. It was very educational and I learned a lot about Porcupines.

Continued in next post.

We caught the train back and wanted to walk the Jungle Trek, but first we needed a diet Coke because it was so hot. We found a table under some trees and sat down.

DSCF3991.jpg

The heat had began to make me delirious by this time.

Dallas told me to be serious so I tried.

After walking the JT we decided it was time to leave and head to Poly for our Kona ADR. It was an extremely hot day so knowing we were heading to the car and the cool AC was good.

DSCF4020.jpg

We made it to the Poly with plenty of time to spare. We have eaten at Kona twice now and the restaurant always seems empty. We were seated right away and placed our order. I have been hearing so much about the Lapu Lapu I knew I had to try one.

DSCF4026.jpg

If you look to the left you will see the glass with the drink in it. The pineapple has some of the drink in it and they bring the rest in a glass so you can refill the pineapple. This drink was very good and VERY strong.

We placed our order and we didn't have to wait very long for our food.

I got the Pan-fried Chicken with Coconut and Mango Sauces and it was FANTASTIC.
DSCF4027.jpg

Dale got the hamburger and Dallas got hot dogs.

DSCF4030.jpg

DSCF4029.jpg

Our waitress came back to take our dessert order and when she came she brought these. It was some type éclair and was very good.

Coconut Cream Kiki Tart. I got this and it was FANTASTIC.
DSCF4036.jpg

No Sugar Added Apple Stack. Dale got this last year too. He said it is very good.
DSCF4037.jpg

Of course Dallas had the Kona Kone.

After eating we went back to the room to rest so we could go back to MK later. I will finish this day later, I am running out of steam.

Love the update Dana...man....it sure was hot this year!!! It's still a little warm, wasn't too bad today, cool tomorrow...I wish it would make up it's mind!! I think we've decided to go try out SM on the 19th of Dec.....HINT HINT!!! HAHA That's the weekend before Christmas. I wanna do the 5th, but kinda have plans....and that's the taping of the ABC parade...so not sure. The plans for that day are kinda falling apart, so that's another weekend I'm looking at. Not a huge deal, but either weekend. I think if we go on the 5th, we're gonna ride SM, and high tail it to another park, I'll probably let Chris choose. Just FYI!!! Plus, you gotta place to stay, no hotel this time...keep that in mind!!!

It was hot way too long this year. It is 71 degrees here right now and it is 8pm so we haven't cooled down much yet. It is suppose to go to 48 tonight, but it will get back up to 72 tomorrow. I have to work the weekend of the 5th and the 19th :sad1:. I have just let it drop about going for Christmas. Dale nor Dallas wants to be away from home then so we will just wait until May :sad2: I only have 3 weekends off before Christmas anyway and we have got to finish our shopping. If you go to my PTR for May you can see what I ordered from Disneyshopping.com today ;).

I can't believe ya'll had never gone to rafaki's ...
great pictures!! sounds like a fun day!

To be honest Connie I don't know why we have never went. I guess we were just always running from one side of the park to the other so everybody could ride the "big" rides. I will go back next time, because it was really enjoyable. Are you still saving up your coke points? The Universal tickets are sold out right now, but I am hoping they will have them back up when we are getting ready to go.

I didn't know you started a PTR!! I am going to get over there & subscribe right now.

I love this picture of Dallas.

DSCF3992.jpg

I loved the video. I'm glad you realize your son will not be on Dancing with the Stars. He and I would make a fine pair tho. I move about the same way as he does. Too funny.

Glad you found time for an update.

Have a good day tomorrow.

The video is a hoot. I was sure that Dallas was going to starting busting some moves any second. Tell him if I meet him in Animal Kingdom, I'm making sure that we both get picked (and Hunter too) and I'll show him some African dancing. :rotfl2:

Thanks Ginny. Bless his little heart he has two left feet anyway. He is so clumsy. He makes up for it though with his big heart .

I hope to update again this weekend.

I hope your weekend goes good. How did the tests go? I have been thinking about you today.

Lisa that would have made the video even funnier. I think it is hilarious how much bigger he is compaired to the kids around him :lmao:. I will tell him he has to be brushing up on his moves so he can dance with you and Hunter :dancer:.

I think his big heart must come from his momma. He is a sweetheart. Austin was always so much bigger than other kids his age. It was hard at times. His personality kept him going. He has always been a very loyal friend and it has paid off.

BTW. He got accepted to SBU (Southwest Baptist Univ in Bolivar Mo). He got the Board of Trustees scholarship for $7500 a year for 4 years. Don and I took him to dinner last night and his phone rings. He couldn't figure out who would call during dinner so he let go to vm. It was the Dean of Business at the college telling him to call him so they could get him some more scholarships. He can live at home as it is about a 20 mile drive from their house on four lane. I think he is happy that it is settled for him. He had another college he liked too but it did not have a business program so he would have to go elsewhere for his masters. SBU has a 5 year masters program. Super proud of him. I'm sure you are surprised on that.

I have had all my tests done and will now wait for results. I'll be sure to let everyone know as soon as I hear.

Have a good weekend. Getting a pedicure tomorrow with Sheri and Sharon.

That is so sweet Ginny. Dallas IS my heart. He has such a caring, considerate disposition. It is hard for Dallas at times because he is so much bigger than most kids his age. He can't even play football because he is so much bigger than kids his age. The rule here is your weight can be 10 times your age plus 10 so he could weigh 120 lbs and play in his age group, but Dallas weighs 160 so he would qualify to play with 15 year olds :scared1:

I am so proud for Austin :woohoo:. I know you are too. That is a fantastic scholarship. It is good that he gets to stay home and go to school because the money he saves by staying at home will go directly to pay for school and books. I can't believe how much it costs to go to college now :scared1:. Amanda also got a Presidential Scholarship and she still had to take out $10,000 in loans because tuition keeps going up, but the scholarship stays the same. If it had cost that much when I went I would not have been able to go. Tell Austin for me WAY TO GO. Let him know he has people all over the country who are proud of him .

I'm keeping you in my prayers.

yes, on the coke points...I have not been on there in a couple of weeks...I usually let my points build up and I was 200 away on mine and 300 away on another email address and more on the other three...I said I would not order without doing two at a time...so I guess we just missed out...but, last year they did bring them back twice (that I know of) after running out!...if not we'll use them for Nike or resturant cards!

Yeah, I am sure they will bring them back again. I love cokerewards .

I got my order from Disney today and the ornaments are beautiful. The clear mouse ears are really big, and the Tink is precious. I think Dale will really enjoy the rolling cooler. I know I love my paper towel stand.

I have been so bad about updating since I started my PTR for May, but I am finally giving one.

When I left off we had just finished a great lunch at Kona and we had gone back to the room for a nap.

So after a very short nap we headed back to MK to ride some of the rides we had missed on our visits earlier in the week. We got to the park just in time to catch the Move It, Shake It Celebration. I soooo love this event. I had to stop and film some of it again. I hope I haven't posted this before. I filmed it each time I got to see it :rotfl2:. Anyway here is the video. And a few pictures.

Dale and Dallas were in a big ole hurry so after I got this we headed to TL. My memory gets kinda fuzzy because I'm not exactly sure what all we rode, but I know we did the Laugh Floor again. I didn't get to many pictures because after the MNSSHP my batteries never had a chance to completely recharge.

After TL we decided to head over to FL to ride BTM. Now last year when we rode BTM Dallas said he liked it. So later in the week he and I went to ride it by ourselves and when we got to the front of the line he changes his mind :scared1:, so we do the walk of shame. This year he said he wouldn't change his mind so we got on line. We get to our turn and he gets in the seat, I climb in next to him and he doesn't say a word. As we are riding I hear a big ole "WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO" and I am trilled :woohoo:.

We then head to PoTC and ride it again and decide we are tired so we head out. It has been a good and LONG day. We still have 2 days left and tomorrow is Epcot. I can't remember where we ate our CS this day.
