Going around trying to get rates for DW, DS and myself I was amazed at the price the TA gave me for a cruise in Sept. 2004.
Why Have'nt I booked? Im cocerned about the weather.
I know the weather can be bad in the summer, BUT all I hear about this month is the Big "H". Yes I also hear that the Capt. will steer clear of Hurricanes, But what does this mean?
Instead of going to CC do we stay @ sea? Or another port I surely would hate to miss the FULL experince of a DCL which includes going to CC. Im torn I cant get over the price, and well now really confused. I do have to wait for my boss to get back from his trip, so I can ask if this time of year would be ok my 2 1/2 weeks vacation. Maybe at this time if I get the ok it may just seal the deal then. Who know's. I have searched and read the board about this month. I see the weather has been nice, and some have been diverted, but I can see why folks book for time of year now.
I did get a $200 less quote from Cotsco for an Aug 1 4 day which I thought was good considering others were not bugding from the $3000 price tag.
Just wanted to share...

). Thus, you can watch the news and weather channel to see what is coming (or going). It usually takes weeks for the storms to reach us from Africa and several days to a week if a smaller storm forms in the Caribbean or Gulf of Mexico. Pleanty of notice and warning.
Im just gathering up the info right now to show my DW when I get home this evening. And present some dates on Monday to my Boss. Maybe he will be in a good mood (still in vacation mode) when I ask him.

Yep Im with you. I took my last cruise on Carnival 2 years in july and it rained 1 day in Keywest but all in all it turned out nice.
