I was able to book a room only discount rate using the "controversial" code that some claimed to need a pin to be able to use earlier this week. I asked the CM (on the first try, too, so don't flame me for tying up the phone lines, fishing for a code that I'm not entitled to) if she could try a code I had seen on the internet. She cheerfully obliged and offered me a standard AKL view for $155 (including tax). She asked for no PIN and at the time I didn't know that I was "supposed" to have one.
I later changed my ressie to WL, since we will be attending MNSSHP that night and assumed we would have better transportation by boat back and forth to MK.
After reading some posts that AKL has great transportation to MK and WL boat transportation is questionable after official closing, I decided to change back to AKL (yes, I'm a little obsessive). So, today, I called & was given same rate, with a different code. The CM quoted me the same rate, but then named the code "VPK". I asked if this was the code I had used before, and she stated "yes, this is the October room only code". Although this code is very different from the one I used initially, the price was the same. I ASSUME this is the new public room only code, but I'm not sure.
