Sept-Dec Room Discounts ~ Information Here

:hourglass I'm a newby and I have a LM room already booked (for like 11 months now) and I have been waiting for a discount or fd for the dates of 12/6 - 12/14 and I MAY BE TOTALLY OFF HERE but to check discount rates of different wdw resorts I went to the Disney specials area on the website and calculated with dates w/in sept. for both fd and room discounts to give me an idea - I'm hoping and praying that these discounts come out on Monday and I will see if my #'s are close....hope this helps....OR SOMEONE TELL ME THIS IS WAY OFFpixiedust:

LM rooms are never included in discounts. Are you willing to move to a suite at AoA or change resorts completely?

Just curious which values have gotten the 25% discount in the past??????
Also a poster stated that the annual pass rate was better then the room only rate???

I'm going last week in October also and all Epcot resort rooms have been sold out for a while, I think because of the food & wine festival!

Ok. Can somebody please clarify something for me. I do not have a disney visa but my sister does. We both have reservations under our own names at the same resort on the same check in day. I thought I would be able to use her disney visa to get the discount if it applies to my room category on my reservation and she would also be able to use her disney visa for her reservation if it applies to her room category as well. Her AAA agent told her I can not get the discount unless I have the disney visa but my AAA agent said it would be no problem for me. Can someone please let me know if I can use her card to get the discount and she can use it too?

Bump

I don't have personal experience with booking early with someone else's cc for a discount, but I don't think it matters whose cc it is. Any cc can be used to make a deposit, a payment, pay in full, etc. even if the card holder is not a guest on the reservation. I don't see how using your sister's Disney visa to get the discount is any different (but that's just my opinion). I understand that having a Disney visa and getting a jump on discounts is a perk of having that card, but if Disney doesn't require a payment to be made with a cc from someone listed on the reservation, then to me, this shouldn't be any different. The only thing is that your AAA agent has to call and check availability/have the discount applied as Disney will not discuss anything with you or your sister as AAA owns your reservation. With that said, your AAA agent would probably have to have the Disney visa card number as anytime I have used my Disney visa for a promo ahead of time, I was asked for the last 4 numbers on the card so they could verify that it was in fact the Disney visa. If your sister feels comfortable giving your AAA agent her cc number, I'd give your agent the information and have him/her call first thing Monday morning. The worst that can happen is that the agent is told it can't be done and you have to wait until Thursday when the promo is released to the GP. Good luck :).

This has probably already been asked and answered but I didn't see it. Can one of those calling at 7am EST report back to the thread if the rumor is indeed true? I was going to call at 7am CST but am afraid of being on hold forever only to be told no such discount exists. Mr Black was sure to say it would 'likely' come out on the 29th for Disney Visa customers. :confused3 I looked in my email inbox (i don't delete anything) and I usually don't get the Disney Visa Promo email until noonish CST the day it comes out. I will likely have to wait til I after work anyway but I was kind of hoping I could call at 7 and have less wait than that evening because the emails haven't gone out yet.

Thanks in advance to anyone who reports back!

Hi Black! First, I wanted to say thank you so much for being so kind and sharing this information. I would like to ask you if BLT two bedroom suite/MK view may be included in any discount. It sure would be helpful! Again, sincere thank you Black...you just made my day/week/year!

The Little Mermaid rooms only opened about a year ago and they've never been discounted.

Also you've booked during Pop Warner week (the 2nd week in December this year). On the Bounceback I saw a few weeks ago, that week was excluded for discounts. I'm still hoping to see something for that week on the AoA family Suites and Pop Century but I'm not counting it. Even a small discount would help.

Yes, I did not clarify myself very well - LM ARE NEVER DISCOUNTED and I want out of value resorts due to pop warner - SO I'M PRAYING FOR A ROOM DISCOUNT FOR A DELUXE from the previous post it looks like they will be here tomorrow, I'm a Disney visa card holder so keeping my fingers crossed:cool1: ANY MORE NEWS IN THESE DISCOUNTS - ANYONE?

I definitely want to move - I should have stated that. FD does not look promising for my dates but based on previous comments RO discounts should be here tomorrow - I want a deluxe but I'm not sure which one their are 3 of us - hubby and 4 yr old boy - SHOULD WE DO AKL standard room due to price OR Wilderness lodge, bunk bed with wood view? HELP - I need to tell my travel agent :coffee:

I would check each resorts FAQ thread here on the Dis to see which one looks the most appealing. We always stay at POP, so I'm no help when it comes to deluxes. We prefer to go more often, so deluxes have never been on our radar. Good luck! :goodvibes

Soooooo excited to call tomorrow! Does anyone know if club level rooms have a discount and what % it typically is??? Hoping to upgrade :) preferably poly!

We got a 27% off discount on Poly CL for this last month when those were released so we are hoping for something similar for the fall! Fingers crossed for us both!

I have a reservation at BWI for 10/22 - 10/27. I understand that this doesn't help me in terms of available discounts. We are changing our dates to 10/19-10/26. Should I ask to change my reservation or just make a new reservation?

Online shows availability for the BWI for 10/19-10/24 but not our last night of 10/25.

I was thinking of making a new reservation with the RO discount but then changing my existing reservation to just be for our last night. I am not sure if we want to pay the higher rate for the last night but I know if I give it up I won't get it back. I am ok with Disney having two deposits.

Am I making this all too complicated for tomorrow morning?

I plan to call at 7am but I eventually have to go to work so I want to handle just the most important items tomorrow.

Did you try searching day by day? I am having trouble with availability on Oct 25th. Anyone know why? We are going Oct 19-26 and that last night seems like it is going to be a problem. There is almost no availability in a deluxe resort for the 25th.

Thanks for posting this! I'm having the same issue the first week of Dec and was worried my week was going to be busy because there is no resort availability for the week but I hadn't thought of looking day by day.

The first 4 days of the week there is availability everywhere, the 5th is sold out everywhere, and the last 2 days of the week there is availability everywhere. Looks to be an overlap day with lots checking in and no one checking out until the next day.

It looks like I'll still have to change my resort to get the RO discount but at least it looks like my week will still be slow. :cheer2:

I'm in the west so I'll be up at 4am tomorrow to make my call. :coffee:

Was wondering this too....I was just driving home thinking about tomorrow morning and wondering what the probability is that this deal is going to come out tomorrow morning. If it's a high probability, I'll put off what I was planning on doing and my screaming kids (who are trying to get my attention first thing in the morning) to sit on hold. But, I don't want to sit on hold for an hour, only to find out there's nothing. I think I'd be best to wait to see if someone successfully books with a RO discount. And...don't want to get laughed at again like I did a few days ago when I asked about a possible discount! :lmao: Would be a VERY bad start to my day (screaming kids AND being laughed at)! Thanks in advance to anyone who posts their successes (and/or failures). :cool1:
