WOW, our embarkment date is quickly approaching... And we are so happy we have offically narrowed down our fish extender gift options... The adults are standing by for assembly and the childrens are nearing the same stage.... not just to find out the final numbers so that we can assemble the proper ammount...

So much work and so worth it.

Has anyone come up with a cut off date for the FE list?

Hi we booked the Sept. 9th cruise in June and I just found this thread. we have not been assigned a stateroom, yet. What is the FE?

The sail date is our 15th anniversary (DH and I) and dd is coming with us.

FE is the Fish extender exchange... you can search for a better description on the Disboards but esentially it is a gift exhange where you deliver small gifts to each of the staterooms participating and recieve from all the others in on it.

You make a Fish extender to hang from the fish on the wall next to your stateroom and it acts as your mailbox.

I'm Kay, my new hubby Darren and I will be headed out on the 9/1/10 to WDW and then hopping on the Wonder on 9/9/10 for our honeymoon! It will be his first time at WDW and DCL I am so far beyond excited!

the above is a htper link to a very long thread that will explain all about the fish extender exchange history, how to make your own and a bit about what people have recieved before.

Do not get overwelmed with it all. Any thing you want to hang on your fish will work, from a backpack to a full out fish extender designed for the specific cruise.

On our last cruise we recieved anything from water bottles ( a life saver since we forgot cups to bing drinks down from topside) to CDs little things from peoples home states and countries, candies, and pirate stuff.

We are going all homemade this cruise, so just do what you want for the exchange and remember it is all about fun.

The greatest joy we had onboard the ship was watching out DDs expression when she came back to the stateroom to find out she had "mail".

OK well these are some of our Fish Extenders (we took 6 on our 7 day cruise)

our door with magnets on it. We rotated magnets daily to be able to use all we brought with us.

We might have a problem with overdoing it. lol.

I promise to bring less magnets and fish extenders this time around.... But making more shirts and fish extender gifts this time around.
