This is my first dcruise, but from past experience, you will probably be sorta matched with other couples in the same age bracket. When we took two teens on a cruise there were families with teens at our table. Instant friends. When dd went on cruise to celebrate 1st anniv. they were seated with other young couples. Actually, I think it is one of the great memories you take away.

I was hoping that was the case - that they tried to match tables - DBF is not as social a creature as I am and I really like meeting new people! Not saying he doesn't...but I got the feeling he was hoping we'd be alone - lol! Only at Palo I guess - but he's really funny - he always gets like this and then ends up having a GREAT time no matter where we go!

I am SO EXCITED!

As I pulled up in the drive I saw the little box! Yeah it's our docs. Now I feel like we're really on our way. Just a few more weeks. We also live in the FL panhandle and all we've gotten so far is rain rain rain. Hope that's all we get from Charlie too. Then maybe it'll will be smooth sailing from then on out. One more time: Yeah!!!!

Where ya been Buncco? I haven't seen any of your posts for awhile. DD is excited to meet your DD. Is she going to be doing the clubs? We wnt to Deb's site and downloaded the Navigator , if all goes as planned DD has mapped our 3 days out already. Hope we can meet yall soon.

Gina - what site did you find the Navigator on? I went to Barb's site and downloaded the one there - which is from 6/03.

I'd be willing to bet they're going to start showing Princess Diaries 2 on the ship which is cool because even at 41 I really want to see it

I only got my payment confirmation from DCL - no docs yet Maybe today

Kalypso, It was the june navigator. Hopefully the activities will stay the same. When I started filling out my docs. I noticed it looked like page 1 on all of ours was torn out. Weird, tried to call dcl but they're closed due to Charlie. We got cabin 7570. Cool

Hope to see the docs at the door when I get home tonight! I am SOOOOOOOO happy it's FRIIIIIIDAY!!!

And..um...just in case you were wondering? It's 3 weeks and 6 days we are PAST THE FOUR WEEK MARK!!!!
Right now...four weeks from now? I will be getting ready to go have dinner at Palo for our 8pm ressie WEEEEE!!!

ginabug - I hope the activities stay the same too! I know it sounds silly...but DBF and I hope to do the "match your mate" - lol and I am determined to make a fool of myself at Krazy Karaoke

Now I know I'm gonna go watch karaoke!!! It's the most fun to watch but I'd have to have several drinks before I would torture the audience with my gift. If there's just the two of you, you could rent a moped for the day. We did last year and explored on our own. they drive on the wrong side of the road .Yikes!!

Yes...I usually need a little "liquid courage" before I get up there too

I think we're just going to kind of hang around the ship on Nassau day - I'm not all that intrigued with Atlantis - we are definitely going to soak up as much of Castaway Cay as we can but I think we'll just rent some floats and loll around

Another busy weekend. Went yesterday and bought our bonine, safe sea, chapstick, etc. Went today and bought new masks for my two kids. (I had to wash my DHs and my masks, fins, etc.)

I'm getting the door signs made this week. It helps having a "to do list" and the time seems to pass quicker too.

Hey Ginabug where in the FL panhandle are you from? We're from Crestview.

Honeychild, We manage USDA apartments so we bounce around from Marianna, Quincy, And Blountstown. You have great yard sales in crestview by the way. When we have to go up that way we try to make it on a Saturday. Good idea about a to do list. I need one. DD has started to pick out her suits already. Have you got any ideas where to buy tropical clothes for women?

I am excited about this cruise...but I hate to admit, nervous about the hurricane season

I hear they just "steer" around the hurricanes! We went on one in January, and it was so smooth that you couldn't even tell you were on the sea. (In the Pacific, there are BIG waves)!

I kind of figured they just steered around it - I think I worry more about flying - we're coming from L.A. so we don't have a lot of options for alternatives if our red-eye gets canceled...of course...I don't know WHY I'm worrying about this now.

Pretty minimal when you consider what the poor folks down there are worrying about now

Oooh, I didn't even think about the flying. I have a serious problem with flying, so I'm avoiding thinking about it. Seems like we always have "interesting" weather flying into or out of Florida due to the storms, etc.!

I'm here! Hurricane Charley hit us pretty good and we lost power for a few days. My husband hooked up the generator, so at least we had a/c and didn't loose any food in the freezer. We had a BIG tree land on the house.....a small hole over our bedroom and some damage to the soffit. It certainly could have been worse. LOTS of clean-up! At least we'll have plenty of firewood this winter!

Can't wait till the cruise! Yes, DD will be in the clubs. We're ready!!

So sorry to hear about your damage. When OPAL hit NW FL we were hit hard too. Fortunately no damage to our house. One HUGE oak hit the neighbors to the left and one hit the neighbors to the back of us. Both cost us a fortune to remove and I still miss there beauty.

Sounds like you DH is a good ole boyscout having a generator, they are handy!

Isn't it fun to receive your docs? We danced for days, and I still enjoy pulling them out and looking at them! Glad they came and now you can start filling them out!
