Sept 8, 2011 Dream - FE final list complete

Piecey, I would love to see your photos, please do post.

It was a fantastic trip, and I am still rollin' with the ocean this mornig while sitting at my desk. :goodvibes

I am sorry that we did not get to meet up. I was under the Aquaduck during the sail-a-way, but did not recognize anyone from the photos posted on here or Facebook. :sad1: I did meet Roadweaver as we encountered each other while delivering our Fish Extender gifts, and that was nice.

Yes, please post them! I'm in the process of uploading pics to Photobucket this morning and have some shots of the Destiny as well as a video of her sailing out of Nassau.

I absolutely love that last shot. No way that one of us could have gotten that one. That is how the Princesses get to their meet and greet without walking thru the main hallways of the ship and getting stopped by all the Guests. Thank you so much for sharing your photos, that was very nice to see and that just confirms that she is a beautiful ship.

So the outside decks were being power washed on disembarkation morning. The later breakfast time we were given was of concern to us as we thought our flight was at 10:30! So we were making our way back to Cabanas, when Jessi slipped on the wet (from powerwashing) stairs between decks 12 and 11! We initially thought it was just a sprained ankle, but her leg is broken. We see the orthopedic surgeon on Wednesday.......I have always loved disney, but I am pretty beside myself right now........My special needs daughter is having severe pain, darn it.

saw her fall (prior to 8am on debarkation morning) or took photos of the decks as they were being powerwashed that am, I could really use the photo!

BTW, we had a great cruise prior to this!!!! I hope that all will be well, we will wait and see if she might need orthopedic surgery!

tinkslite, I am so sorry for that experience. I didn't see it happen or even witness the powerwashing. We ate at Cabanas that morning also, but didn't have any trouble. I guess it could have happened if it had been raining also, but I sure understand your frustration at this. I hope your daughter heals and recovers quickly. What a disappointing end to your family vacation. Please let us know what you find out on Wednesday. Hugs to you all.

It could have happened if it had been raining, although if it was raining I would be likely to stay toward the inner parts of a ship (I am terrified of thunderstorms as is my daughter). It was a pretty Sunny morning well before 8am.
I appreciate the kind words.:lovestruc

Wow...so very sorry to hear that, Tinkslite! Unfortunately, we weren't up there on Deck 11 that morning. We had early breakfast with our dining team in AP, and stayed on Deck 3 until we disembarked.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jessi and your family.

Does anyone know what was wrong with the people that were airlifted from CC? I felt so horrible for them and their families :(

They were two cast members who were airlifted by USCG due to heat stroke and dehydration as a result of a cast member 10k run.

Hi love I am so sorry to hear about your daughter .... i cant help with a photo of the decks but i can definately confirm that they were being jet washed .... i left our room at 5.55 to see if Shutters was open so we could collect the last of our photos, they werent open so i went back to our cabin, tidied Kates hair and told them about the two ships that were moored next to us so we went up the front stairs onto the adults only deck with the plunge pool and swim up bar at about 6.10 and they were jet washing it then, we went right up to the front of the boat and checked out the huge ship next to us, we were pretty unhappy to be leaving!!! Then we came back down the same way. Collected our bags from our room and we were at AP for about 6.30 because we mentioned that they dont hang around in cleaning the place up for the next guests!!!

I hope your daughter is ok and on the mend soon xxxxxx

We missed everyone except the Brandenberg family who we spoke to at breakfast in Cabanas on the morning of Nassau stop ... it was lovely to speak to u x On the afternoon of the sailaway party, we were on the other side of the ship as we had told my sister to log on from Liverpool to see the boat leaving port .... which incidentally she did .... AND SHE SEEN US ON THE TOP DECK!!! How cool is that!!! But my daughter had her gold ears on so she would be recognisable but we didnt see anyone else under the duck sign????? so i thought it must have changed and we didnt know ...... we were also given boarding number 3 as we were first into the terminal but got chatting to a guy from England ont he check in desk and he was quite slow with the processing so he said boarding number 16, so me being a little cheeky said .... oh my word, we were first in here and the people next to us just got number 3 so he smiled and said he was just teasing me!!! We went over to the kids club people then and ended up speaking to another scouser called Chris who was in the kids club and so lovely, but then again everyone was so lovvely.

Was anyone dining in the Animators Palate on the last night and sat near the back of the restaurant as u may of heard Crush talking to us, he asked m y daughter where she was from so when we said Liverpool, he then asked us how we would greet someone from liverpool so i said " Hows it going" and he repeated me with a high pitched scouse accent which was brilliant, so i was wondering if anyone heard this???

We had a fantastic cruise, it was absolutely brilliant and we will definately be cruising again, trying to persuade mmy sister and her family to come with us next time!! If i had to choose one thing that i wasnt impressed with, it was nothing to do with the ship, it was the people ... when the photos were taken, there was a group of people who had two people queuing and then proceeded to call about 2 dozen other people and had about 25 shots taken of different groups of people, i wasnt impressed with that and it did cause a little upset with other people in the queue as well. I just thought it was very unfair and it seemed to happen when all the characters were having photos taken with the kids. Talking of photos, we did get some lovely pictures taken which was so good and we are really pleased with them.

Came hoping for an update as to what you found out today. Please let us know how she is doing when you get a chance.

She will need surgery. It was a "twisting" break to the lower shin (her fibula), which also tore through ligaments and tendons. They will place a metal plate and a couple of screws upon surgery.........If not she won't walk normally, limpy.:sad2:
She will be on crutches for 6-9 weeks, not able to bear weight. Then 4-6 weeks of physical therapy.
Our deductible is pretty high:scared1: (think more than I paid for the whole cruise for the whole family of 5).......
She hollered from her room around an hour and a half ago, "Moooooom! I need medicine! It hurts!!" :littleangel:
This from a kid who NEVER complains of pain. The day her appendix nearly ruptured I thought she had period cramps. She is in a LOT of pain......

Came, looking for an update, and it sure wasn't as good a news as I am sure you were hoping for. I am so so sorry for both of you. As a Mom, I know you feel all the pain she is experiencing, too. Hope her surgery is scheduled soon so that the healing process can begin.

for thurs the 22nd. grandma is coming out from Utah (we are flying her here):worship:. My house is a total wreck:laundy:, her brothers are struggling to complete all their schoolwork and help out w/sis:upsidedow. Hubby is on a business trip :surfweb:(constantly travels which is why we needed a vacay). I am drowning in the stress!!!!!:guilty::sad2::sad1:

I wouldn't mind walking right down the middle of Main Street USA right about NOW! (Wheelchair pushing notwithstanding):wizard:

I hope everything goes ok with her operation xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Also I forgot to tell u all, before we left the UK, we told our families that they could link up to the port canaveral webcam on the Thursday night at about 10pm and see us leaving port,,, well see the Dream leaving port anyway ... so my sister logged on a few times before to check the website loaded etc, then on the Thursday night that we left port she was sat at her dining table with her husband watching the ship leaving .... he husband was teasing her saying she would never see us but SHE DID!!! She seen us waving like lunatics on the top deck at the camera ... Can u believe that??? Out of all the people on the boat, she spotted us !!! What are the chances of that?!?!?

So cool!

The camera is currently down :confused3 but they're replaying previous sailaways. Don't see the one from the 8th for the Dream but I posted on their FB wall, asking if it was available :goodvibes
