Hi all! We'll be there on the cruise with you. There will be 6 of us in 2 Cat. 6 rooms on Deck 6(port). It will be:

Me, DH, and DS, (turns 11 right before the cruise!) in one cabin,
SIL, BIL and DN, (7 at cruise - turns 8 one week after)in the second cabin.

The cruise falls right in between the birthdays of both children, so we're planning on celebrating on board. We're looking forward to finding out what surprises are in store for us!

After two hours of redialing and 30 minutes on hold we got through. We got a Cat. 6 within 3 cabins of what we requested.

got confirmed in the first half hour on Saturday OOHH HHAA!!!
We Can't wait!!!

Me, DW, DD 7, and DS 4, It's our first time, don't know what it will be like - but can't wait to experience the fun. Well, we tried to book the Raddison at 10:00 Saturday Morning, but as EVERYONE knows that was/is booked, so we booked the Cocoa Beach Hilton, they let you park your car there (free) while on the cruise, and I will get HHonors points (can ya tell I hang out at the rewards boards??!!)

We can't wait to meet our Dis buddies and DVC pals this trip, this is going to be a long cold winter!!!

G.:sunny:

You will have a great time, I was one of those persons who thought he would be bored on a cruise, not the case, lots to do and see.

I really enjoy simply watching the workings of the ship.

Wonder what is up at the Raddison, I checked the KSC site and there is not a launch listed for that time.

Seems like folks are drifting in here slowly but surely. This is a good thing.

Welcome all.

Not sure where we'll be before we board the ship - planning on driving down - but we'll definitely head over to WDW afterwards for sure!

Looking forward to see friends and fellow DVCers again!

Well, we are all set with the ins. bought, ressies made at SOG for 2 nights before and one night after (We used all our DVC ponts for the cruise..so being retired AF, we thought we would check out the newly re-modeled SOG). Since we will be driving down, we even went as far as to book the ressies for the hotels on the way down and back. Can you tell we are getting just a little excited :teeth:

Mary, the board for the pictures is a GREAT idea!! It will sure be nice to put a picture to a name :D

As far as a before cruise meet, we would like to put our vote in for DTD. We look forward to meeting everyone!!!

I was just coming back to edit my post - I saw that after I typed. So we need to have a Keister Coaster Slide-a-thon the night before the cruise???

<annie>Tomorrow! Tomorrow! It's only a day awayyyy.....</annie>

Tomorrow I might have the new webpage up :)

Hi!

It took me two hours of re-dialing and about 35 minutes on hold but I was able to book a cat 11 on deck 6 right about where I wanted location-wise. This is my first cruise so I will have lots of questions. However, I have watched (and TIVOed) the Travel Channel show about the Disney Cruise Line and will watch that a lot more between now and next Labor Day!

Is anyone eating in the late-dining that needs company or do they assign you seats?

I called member services today to find out about DCL transfers and was told it's $50 ($49 from the airport) per person round-trip from any Disney hotel and it doesn't have to be the same hotel round-trip. I'm sure it's cheaper for families to get a towncar or other arrangements, but this isn't bad for Disney considering it's over an hour ride each way.

I'm looking forward to the DIS meet wherever it is. Downtown Disney sounds like the best place as all hotel buses go directly there, but since I'm staying at the Boardwalk the night before (unless I find a better deal for cash) and for two nights after I would prefer the Epcot resort area.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing the few I met at Member Homecoming again,

Copper3

I don't have patience for Disney ground transfer! LOL

When I want to be somewhere, it is NOW. So to have to wait, with a whole bunch of people, for Disney to "assign" us on a bus, I am too antsy! Plus, Disney does not start sendingthe busses until after 12PM. Heck, we were on the ship at 12PM last April. No Disney transfers for me. It would KILL me knowing I could already be on the ship, while I was standing around WDW, waiting to be called to a bus. :(

We have a 7 passeneger mini van, we could fit 2 adults if anyone wants to catch a ride with us.

Pretty jazzed to see what Mark comes up with as far as a web page etc goes.

Pre cruise meet location matters not to us. We will get into MCO at about a little after 4, get luggage, rental etc, coul be at WDW about 5-5:30, hit DTD for diner, thenshould be meet time wherever, then we can drive out to Coco, after that. What ever we are very flexable.

Cooper3, we find it cheaper to rent a car and drop at the port, if time is not a problem, if time is of the essence then a limo works well. I think like Marie, I want my DCL now....

You can add ours:

DD will be 11, DS will be 8 1/2 (that all important 1/2)

I have a question???

How did you buy your insurance? I thought you had to have proof you were going or something. I am probably going to buy, but I am not paniced, I just assumed Disney would include something in the stuff they sent us.

We are planning to arrive at Cape Canaveral on Sept. 3 and spend the night. Where is a good place to stay?

CarolA, Disney will send you something with your confirmation info. There is a code number for DVC. Sorry I don't have those numbers with me right now.

Duckie, Raddison was the choice for the night before. I know some folks have stayed at Ron Jon's and were hapy. We have a room at the Holiday Inn Express. Never stayed there but have reward points to use.

We are in! Took us 1 hr and 40 minutes to get totally booked. My parents and in-laws were all at my house Saturday morning for the call-a-thon.

We will be with both sets of parents and our girls.

DD 7 (Morgan) & DD 3 (Allie)

We are looking forward to our 2nd Member Cruise!

Airfare was booked yesterday. Now I need to work on pre and post hotel accommodations and a minivan.

I'm proceeding a bit slower than many. I just got my vacation approved at work. (Like that was really going to matter if I was told no)
Now the rest will have to get taken care of when we can catch a break. Must wait til we can get to the phone form MS stuff. Have no idea how soon that will be.
