Any updates on the activities or surprises during the DVC member cruise yet?;)

Well we know we are having a pirate night! pirate:

For those who will be in the area the night before there is a bon voyage party at Pleasure Island. :thewave:

We also know that starting in early July we can pre-book our Palo and Spa reservations (see the post a page or two back).

As for the surprises - I for one love surprises so I'm glad we aren't hearing everything.

From what I remember on the 10 day in order to get a photographer for our group picture it had to be arranged in advance and a fee paid. Not sure if that is the case on all cruises.

As for the large DVC picture - I sure hope so. It was a lot of fun after the fact picking eveyone out.

On the 14 day Panama Canal cruise, I spoke with the Shutters manager when we were boarding the ship and I worked with him directly for our group "pirate photo". There was NO CHARGE for him to come and take the picture. I just arranged everything in advance and made sure I kept in contact with him to know we were doing it for sure so he didn't forget. He then printed about 10-15 8 x 10's of the photo and then kept restocking in Shutters since they kept running out.

Good to know. Well then I guess if anyone wants to take on the assignment of working with Shutters we could get a group photo.

Submit your digital treasures to us and you could be the lucky family selected! There's no cost to participate in the contest. Look who's joining us aboard the S.S. Member Cruise 2005
Rebecca Godsil, a 2005 Walt Disney World® Ambassador, will host entertaining interactive presentations aboard the Disney Wonder as part of our Guest Speaker Series. A California native, Rebecca so enjoyed her family's yearly Disneyland® vacations that she dreamed of a Disney career. In 1999, she became a Cast Member at the Disneyland Resort, later joining the Walt Disney World Resort family in 2003. During her presentation, Rebecca will share the history of the Ambassador program, created by Walt Disney himself in 1964, its evolution, and her involvement in recent events surrounding the Happiest Celebration On Earth.

Rebecca is also scheduled to attend our special "Bon Voyage Party" on September 3, 2005. For details about this pre-sailing event, please see the fourth edition of S.S. Member Cruise 2005 Cruise News on the Special Events page of dvcmember.com.

Set aside space in your suitcase for a special pin
We've created a limited-edition pin exclusively for Members sailing aboard the "Happiest Celebration at Sea." While its design won't be unveiled until September 4, 2005 (once the Disney Wonder reaches international waters and the merchandise locations open), anticipation for this very special pin is already growing. A valid Member ID Card is required at the time of purchase.

Vacation Magic Presents: A Conversation with Jim Lewis
Direct from the pages of Vacation Magic (your quarterly Member magazine), Disney Vacation Club Senior Vice President and General Manager Jim Lewis will be among the notable individuals joining our Guest Speaker Series. You've read his column in Vacation Magic and might have even seen him at a previous Member event. During the S.S. Member Cruise 2005, you'll have the opportunity to meet Jim as he shares stories about his family, his Disney career, and his experience as the senior leader of Disney Vacation Club.

Jim will also respond to Member questions during this session. If you have a question for Jim, simply submit it via e-mail.We hope to include as many of your questions as time allows.

What's in a name?
In the next few weeks, we'll be mailing you a request to tell us how you'd like your name to appear on personalized items that may be given to you when you arrive at Port Canaveral. If you prefer to use a nickname, middle name, or alternate spelling of your first name (as currently associated with your reservation), please let us know. The mailing will feature an address for a special web page on dvcmember.com for you to provide us with this information.

If you've booked reservations for a non-Member, or you are not yet a Member but will be sailing with one, please ask the Member who booked your reservation to provide us with your preference.
