Cindy - they have obviously heard how great you are! Remember that you are the one in control. Go with what your gut and your heart says. You'll be fine!

Sending pixie dust your way!

I have a daycare interview at 4 today. I'm nervous, as always, but with this family, I'm even a bit more nervous as they are talking in the sense of "it's a done deal" type of thing.

Cindy,
Hope your interview went well! :)

Put It On The Booaaarrrrddddd - YES!!

Go! Go! Chicago White Sox !!

Gary - you and Cameron aren't excited or anything are you? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Way to go Sox!

Cameron's doesn't even know yet that the SOX WON! He's going to be thrilled when I wake him up this morning. When he went to bed about 9:30, they were losing and he was quite bummed. Imagine his surprise this morning. :teeth: :teeth:

Chat was fun again last night. It's so nice to actually be able to have a conversation with everyone, such a different feeling than to post and wait for a response on our thread. How long did you stay, Amy & Diana? I left about 9:30 to tuck Walker into bed. It looked like the main room was empty.

Daycare interview went well. The Dad wanted his little boy to start a week from today. I told them they needed to check my references first and review my paperwork (contract/policies). The little boy just turned 1 the beginning of October and has been in 3 daycares. I'm a bit concerned to uproot him again, but where he is now is kind of a favor arrangement and he only has that position until 11/4. So, they are going to have to make a change for him. Cute little boy with LOTS of smiles. Blonde hair, blue eyes and a boy --- the joke many years ago was that those were the requirements to get into my daycare as it seemed most of the kids fit this criteria. ;)

I have another interview tonight -- for a baby which is due on 10/31. They are not looking for care until she's about 3 months. I will meet with them tonight.

It's my last week caring for my terminated boy. Strange as strange can be, this little boy played awesome last week and we had no issues whatsoever. I wonder what he's overheard at home that changed his attitude around here. A friend of mine said a long time ago, that she wondered whether this little boy was playing games with me as far as not playing with the other kids. I now wonder if she's been right all along. :confused3 5 more days and counting. I don't want to sound cold and caleoused, but it's been a strain the last week and it's the light at the end of the tunnel for me. I dread Friday. I dread next Monday when I have to tell the other kids that this little boy won't be back. I know they are going to wonder where he is. :(

Off to start the day. Have a good one, everyone!! :flower:

We ended up leaving right after you did. It was a LOT of fun chatting with you guys!

Well, Wilma has made her way through my area. We got at least 2-3 inches of rain, and it's still somewhat windy here. It is still quite rainy/windy throughout the rest of the state still. They are saying that she will exit Florida on the east coast in just a few hours. Luckily we were on the northwest side of this one, so we only got a little bit, compared to the others. The other good part is that she's heading down Alligator Alley through the Everglades, which isn't really populated, except for the gators.

Amy, I'm so glad your okay. I was just watching the weather. How Scary. The weatherguy said if there's a "good" place for the storm surge to happen, the Everglades are the place to be.

Hope everyone is safe!!

Michele, sneaky3, is in Miama. :goodvibes

Well, Miami is getting pounded pretty hard still. I would imagine that they will be getting it all morning and into the early afternoon. And, they are saying that the cold front is coming in too. It's only in the 60s here right now.

He's how old? 4? Should he be playing games with someone in authority at that age? I understand testing independance and that sort of thing, but "playing games"....sounds like he's learning a lot from his dad who seems to have some control issues. :(

Hey there gang!

GO SOXS!!
A little shout out for Gary & Cameron!
I don't personally care for baseball myself but Jeff is (surprise, surprise) a Yankees Fan.

Sorry I missed chat last night. I started scrapbooking and the next thing I knew it was 9:45pm!

Cindy - Glad to hear about the interview. Hopefully this week will just fly by for you!

Diana - Hope your crop was good yesterday. Did you get a lot done?

Amy - Your Family and your Aunt are in my thoughts. The last year and a half has just been nuts with this weather. I told Nick this morning that we haven't seen so much much crazy weather in such a shrt time that I can remember.

I got 18 pages done! :faint: I stopped the last hour because I just ran out of steam. I couldn't do another page. I got 3 more done today during naptime. I have 4 more to do of the cruise, and then it's on to the "land" portion of the trip, which I estimate will be another 10-12 pages. I should be done by next October. I did sign up for another crop in January though, so maybe I will catch up eventually.

Thanks Stacy!! We weathered the storm here pretty well, but it was well south of us. My aunt won't be going back to her house until later this week, so we'll find out if she had any damage. She lives about 1/2 way between me and where the storm made landfall. So, hopefully, all's well.

That is AWESOME, Diana!! I wish that I could get everything together to scrapbook. I need to get everything organized, but now it looks like I'll just be organizing to pack it all up. I talked to Chris tonight and he's going to take the job. So, he's going to call his friend and start finding out when he's going to start, etc.

YIPPIE!!

Ok, I've got it....you're going to be moving, and presumably will be looking for a new pediatrician. I need to talk Mike into relocating to the Orlando area b/c your kids need a doctor!! Your kids can be his first patients!!! :)

Considering it's been raining and flirting with snow here all day, I'm so ready to move to where it's warm.....and, YES, 60 degrees IS warm, no matter what you Floridians say!!! It's 37 here now!!! Brrrrrrr.

I'll tell you what--if you guys move to Orlando, Mike can have his 3rd and 4th patients in Emma and Julia, because I'm SO ready to go!! It's supposed to snow here tonight. :cold:

Amy--I'm so happy you guys didn't get hit too bad by Wilma. Congrats on the big job decision! I'm really excited for you!

Oh, I agree, 60 degrees is warm, compared to up north. But, since this is the first "cold" front of the year for FL, we think that it's chilly. I'm just excited that fall may finally be upon us. I love the weather here, but I'm ready for the 90s to go away.

And, I definitely think that you, Mike and the kids need to move to Orlando. It's a up & coming area, and of course, our favorite mouse is here!!!

I'm telling you Diana, you need to just move here and Bruce can just come on down when he's done with his work up there. It'll give him more motivation to move. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Wow Diana 18 pages done! Nice job, I'm very impressed!
I was playing with the sizziks so much at the last crop I went to I didn't get as many pages done as I would have liked.

Congrats to Chris on taking the new job. How very exciting for you Amy. I'll think good thoughts and wishes for you on selling your house and finding or building a new one.

I think I want to jump ship too and head to the sunshine state. :rotfl2:

Maybe Amy should really buy that giant plot of land and start up the DIS development! What a great neighborhood that would be! :goodvibes
