We ended up leaving right after you did. It was a LOT of fun chatting with you guys!cgcw said:Chat was fun again last night. It's so nice to actually be able to have a conversation with everyone, such a different feeling than to post and wait for a response on our thread. How long did you stay, Amy & Diana? I left about 9:30 to tuck Walker into bed. It looked like the main room was empty.

Well, Wilma has made her way through my area. We got at least 2-3 inches of rain, and it's still somewhat windy here. It is still quite rainy/windy throughout the rest of the state still. They are saying that she will exit Florida on the east coast in just a few hours. Luckily we were on the northwest side of this one, so we only got a little bit, compared to the others. The other good part is that she's heading down Alligator Alley through the Everglades, which isn't really populated, except for the gators.
Well, Miami is getting pounded pretty hard still. I would imagine that they will be getting it all morning and into the early afternoon. And, they are saying that the cold front is coming in too. It's only in the 60s here right now.cgcw said:Amy, I'm so glad your okay. I was just watching the weather. How Scary. The weatherguy said if there's a "good" place for the storm surge to happen, the Everglades are the place to be.
Hope everyone is safe!!
Michele, sneaky3, is in Miama.![]()

Thanks Stacy!! We weathered the storm here pretty well, but it was well south of us. My aunt won't be going back to her house until later this week, so we'll find out if she had any damage. She lives about 1/2 way between me and where the storm made landfall. So, hopefully, all's well.Stitch#1 said:Amy - Your Family and your Aunt are in my thoughts. The last year and a half has just been nuts with this weather. I told Nick this morning that we haven't seen so much much crazy weather in such a shrt time that I can remember.
That is AWESOME, Diana!! I wish that I could get everything together to scrapbook. I need to get everything organized, but now it looks like I'll just be organizing to pack it all up. I talked to Chris tonight and he's going to take the job. So, he's going to call his friend and start finding out when he's going to start, etc.Diana Lyn said:I got 18 pages done!I stopped the last hour because I just ran out of steam. I couldn't do another page. I got 3 more done today during naptime. I have 4 more to do of the cruise, and then it's on to the "land" portion of the trip, which I estimate will be another 10-12 pages. I should be done by next October. I did sign up for another crop in January though, so maybe I will catch up eventually.

Ok, I've got it....you're going to be moving, and presumably will be looking for a new pediatrician. I need to talk Mike into relocating to the Orlando area b/c your kids need a doctor!! Your kids can be his first patients!!!
Considering it's been raining and flirting with snow here all day, I'm so ready to move to where it's warm.....and, YES, 60 degrees IS warm, no matter what you Floridians say!!! It's 37 here now!!! Brrrrrrr.
Oh, I agree, 60 degrees is warm, compared to up north. But, since this is the first "cold" front of the year for FL, we think that it's chilly. I'm just excited that fall may finally be upon us. I love the weather here, but I'm ready for the 90s to go away.ohiominnie said:YIPPIE!!

I'm telling you Diana, you need to just move here and Bruce can just come on down when he's done with his work up there. It'll give him more motivation to move.Diana Lyn said:I'll tell you what--if you guys move to Orlando, Mike can have his 3rd and 4th patients in Emma and Julia, because I'm SO ready to go!! It's supposed to snow here tonight.![]()
Amy--I'm so happy you guys didn't get hit too bad by Wilma. Congrats on the big job decision! I'm really excited for you!
