And thought two pictures would be worth 2000 words. Here is Grandma Lightbulb's finished scrapbook page....which she decided to put into a shadowbox instead....

The Mickey pirate head, stuffed Mickey, and tin give it a nice 3-D look....

This is so awesome! She did a great job on it. Does she want to take orders :teeth:

What did the Mickey pirate head come from? I can't figure out what we got that had that on it and since I'm lazy I don't want to dig through my stuff to find out.

I hope it put a smile on her face :flower:
It sure did. She thought it was cool that Mickey sent her a postcard. Plus, since our cruise has already come & gone, I told her that he couldn't wait to see us next year, since we're crusing in the spring.

I think it was on some invitation or something....I believe it says something like "AHOY, MATEYS" on it. HTH!

I think it's a great way to display some of the stuff but not have "clutter."

Thanks, I thought it was some type of a plastic piece. It looks very 3 D.

It's a perfect way to put it all together and have a great memory box to remember the cruise by. I usually end up putting my stuff in a folder and filing it away. Maybe I can send my stuff to my sister and have her come up with something. oh, there comes the laziness in me coming out again :teeth:

It is very 3-D. I asked her how she got it to stick out that far and she said (matter of factly)..."a cottonball."

Not sure if that is acid free, but it worked!

Karen - the zip box thingy is what Cindy threw away. :( She didn't realize they were nice fabric covered boxes.

I've already put mine to use next to my computer to hold magazines etc.

Okay, so i'm late on this reply, but Cindy did not throw those zip box thingys out - I did and only after you brought it to my attention Mary, did I realize I made a faux paux (?sp?) :confused3

The showdow box is AWESOME!!!!!!
I don't remember seeing that little invite that the stuffed mickey is holding. Were those left in the room? :confused3
I looked thru all my stuff and don't have that, And I save EVERYTHING!

Quick note on the smoothie makers. I have one and love it, then they came out with the Mickey one. Well when DH saw me checking out less then 6 months after we got the other smoothie maker he gave me one of those "Don't even think about it" looks.
So plain white boring smoothie maker for me.
Oh and mine has made alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks.
The non-alcoholic for a nice breakfast drink and alcoholic for the adults in the evening. :rolleyes1
So Diana when shall we introduce my smoothie make to a Konk Kooler? :drinking1

Gary - what a gentleman you are to step up and admit you're wrong. :) No wonder Cindy loves you so much. I guess there is just one thing you can do now. Take the family on another Member Cruise. ::yes::

That little pirate invite is cut out of the navigator!

I don't know about you, but I'm ready for a konk kooler right about now!

I meant to ask you this before....where are you planning on getting you Duckey litho framed??

That looks awesome, Karen. Tell her she did a wonderful job.

And this, from a woman who SWEARS she's never scrapbooked before!!

It certainly doesn't look like a new scrapbooker would do. She must have a natural talent at it.

Grandma Lightbulb - that scrapbook page is AMAZING! I'm so glad you guys shared it with us and I would love it if someone would explain how she did it.... I'd love to copy!

Sorry for thinking the wrong Mary had a Disney home... heck I just assume everyone does as we have some Disney in every room.

Gary - you crack me up!

I'm sorry for you guys not getting any snacks, but I have to laugh everytime I read "Dan likes a clean bus"! We all ate on our bus and it was still clean.....even that minty fresh smelling bathroom!

Snacks were provided on our bus up to Port Canaveral. However, the bus looked like the food fight scene from Animal House - it was a mess. And to top it off, Jim Lewis and his family were with us.

Lisa - I haven't read further than your post and wanted to make sure you knew that you need to call ASAP to bank the points into 2005 as they are not automatically doing that and when I spoke to my guide he said something about "two weeks".

We also added on, but only 100. Congrats!

Thanks for that tip!! My DH did that right away when we got home.

Lisa

I was wondering if they took a bus back. (I mean J. Lewis). We got to watch its a bugs life and Mighty Ducks 2 on ours. Oh and we had snacks too.

Thank you Diana.
I was going to ask prices at Michaels and see what they have available.
But a friend of mine mentioned a place on Railroad Ave that does framing and custom mats.
When I get the name of the place I can call you or email you the info.

Who do you think the biggest offenders were? :rotfl2:

Just kidding!!

I noticed this week Michaels has 50% one frame, 60% two and 70% off three. But I have NO CLUE how much it's going to cost! :confused3

I have to go out tomorrow night so I was going to stop by. I can give you a buzz when I have a rough estimate on the price.
We were thinking of doing a double mat and including one set of pins to be matted with the picture.
