Yup...at least this guy, even though he was an ex-con, didn't need money!! :rotfl2: Glad we were there to help!!

"maybe he just broke out of prison!!!" :rotfl2: We just all cracked up laughing :rotfl: That became one of our oft repeated lines!

:rotfl2: That is definitely a line that would have stuck with me for the rest of the trip!

Reminds me of the end of the Super Bowl Game

"Hey Bubba now that you're out of prison what are you going to do?"

"I'm going to Disney World"

Good morning everyone. Had fun in chat last night. I think we definately convinced a few other DVCers to come join us on the next cruise!

I wish we could book this cruise now. I hate the wait and see game....it makes me so nervous. I think I'm more of a planner for the long term than one to look forward to the challenge.

I know, keep positive thoughts that it will all work out. It's just so far away. :goodvibes

It really wasn't all that long ago we were looking forward to the call in date for this cruise. A year ago at this time, no one knew for certain how it was all going to play out.

I have to say, I'm very thankful to have the date this far in advance. :)

Cindy - I agree. It is the not knowing that drives me crazy. The first Member Cruise no one really knew how popular it would be and based on many of the posts here on the DIS those of us who booked it were nuts. Booking was a little crazy but at the end of the day there were still cabins left - they sold out on Monday. Of course we had a great time and booking wasn't too hard.

Then the last Member Cruise. There seemed to be some who thought it still wasn't worth it but those of us who had been on one were able to tell our side and I think we picked up more people. It was much harder to get through and sold out in just over 5 hours! Of course we also had a great time on this cruise.

So now we are back, we already have the date for the next one. My fear is that with more and more new people wanting to go will we indeed get in. I sure hope so!

I think we need to start talking about all the horrible things that happened on the cruise. ;) Maybe we can discourage everyone else from booking.

Come on, there had to be some BAD things........think, think, think. Hmmm, let me see. Okay, I have one. Not everyone saw the beautiful rainbow that popped up in the sky the morning of our sea day. I'm sure there are many who are so disappointed by this that they have no intentions of ever booking another member event.

Can anyone else thing of any "negatives"?

Yes. I found out you can order lobster any night you want. So I did...on Wednesday night, only to find out you need to give them 24 hours notice. How HORRIBLE!! What terrible customer service. I may just write a strongly worded letter to DCL saying it did not state in my cruise documents that I had to order lobster 24 hours in advance!!!!

No one ever seems to point out the very large rodents that seem to be everywhere on the ship?

That's about as negative as I can get this! :rotfl2:

Well you know how us DVCers love our space. After all I love my one bedroom. The rooms on the ship are so tiny that I think most would be very very disappointed. Yeah that's the ticket - tiny rooms and large rodents. Who would want to book. :rotfl2:

Just thought of another HUGE negative (even thought I'm supposed to be out the door in 10 minutes for a playgroup!) With Hurricane Ophelia lurking in Port Canaveral, they brought us to Port Everglades, away from danger and handled everything professionaly and seemlessly.....instead of keeping us out at sea for as long as it took for Ophelia to move out--which was obviously the most preferred alternative :rotfl2: Doesn't everything think they should have taken a vote? :rotfl: The nerve of them....I think we should all petition for a free cruise or boycott all things DCL! ;)

and they even had the nerve to let it rain while we were at Castaway Cay!

Hey does anyone know where the Wonder went for this sailing. I can't imagine they went to Naussau today.

Hey everyone - just got back from dropping Emily off at school. Yes, it's 11am, but they had a cute little play at 9:30am by a local theatre group that parents & siblings can go to also, so Maddie and I stayed. It was super cute!!

Oh, Cindy, we found "kitty" last night. Well, Chris found her. She was in Emily's bed, crammed between the mattress and the wall. So, all is well. But, I still bid on another one on eBay, just to have a spare.

I have a negative about the cruise. OMG, the food. There is just WAY too much food. And, if you eat it all, you're gonna gain weight, and you'll never fit in your clothes. Yeah, that's it, TOO MUCH FOOD!!! :rotfl2:

Yes, that is true. And I find it highly rude that DCL has not incorporated a vomitorium near it's dining rooms!! Poor planning if you ask me. I hope their 3rd ship has them! :rotfl2:

Did you all see this?? We certainly got some valuable stuff. Multiple this by the 4 sets we have, and it's enough to pay for one of us next cruise (NOT that I'm going to do that).

I hope it went to someone who will really enjoy the items! :goodvibes

Congratulations to Brenda on the sale!!

I see that Beth has one out there climbing in price also. Good luck with that!! :wizard:

But, consider that you wouldn't have four full sets of these things. After all, the life preserver magnet was ONE per stateroom (unless, as my MIL found out, stealing was acceptable. Hers was stolen on day 2!!) Also, I do not believe the "Happiest Celebration at Sea" window clings were give-aways. I saw them on embarkation, pointed them out to Mike and said "How many of these do you think will be lifted by the end of the cruise?" As must as I liked them, they weren't mine to take.

I saw the magnets and window clings at the DVC desk on different days. I know we grabbed two of the magnets (one is still on my car). I would hope that people would have taken them for fun, but I'm sure some are trying to profit off of it and took them for that as well.

But of course we all have to remember that it is for the poor little people who can't afford to cruise but may want a set of those DCL paper luggage tags. :teeth:

Edited to add: Brenda I'm not talking about you or Beth or anyone else who has extras they are selling. I'm talking about the sharks that constantly sell luggage tags, navigators and other free items to make a buck on eBay. Congrats on the sale.

I can't believe someone took your MIL's magnet off her door. What is the matter with people?

I did have 2 magnets I left on others doors that showed up on Gail's door. I don't know how that happened. :confused3

Nope, no window cling for me. I didn't see them.

And, I truly do not have 4 full sets as we accidently didn't dig deep enough to find the boxes at the bottom of the pile. We really thought it was all confetti, paper filling. Maybe I'll see one of Mary's when we get together. ;)
