Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

You don't have to be a child to eat like one!

DCL has some wonderful food and some very decadant desserts, but sometimes you just want something simple and classic.

Don't hesitate to ask your server for a Mickey Bar for dessert (off the kid's menu). They will be happy to deliver it to you. It comes in a bowl, covered with sprinkles! We find them to be a much better quality than the ones in the parks.

I've also heard you can order Mickey Bars from room service - now that is decadant :mickeybar

On the PC cruise, you could get Mickey Bars in the afternoon at Scoops!

We are leaving a week from today . Our flight is a 7:00 am from JFK. We arrive at MCO at 9:40 ish. So by now I will be at OKW--hopefully poolside!

We are trying ME, so who knows when we will get the rest of the luggage.

Anyone else staying at OKW prior to cruising?

I have some good news :cheer2:

Last night after I read Walker his bedtime stories, I asked him what he was looking forward to at WDW. I didn't ask about the cruise because I don't think he has any expectations of it. I did tell him that he could have as much ice cream as he wanted and would never hear that it was a lot of money because it was all "free". He definately liked that idea.

So, at WDW, he tell me he wants to ride Goofy's Barnstormer. Okay, no problem, no surprises there.

Then he tell me he wants to go to the KIDS CLUB! :earseek:  I couldn't believe what he was telling me. :cool1: Our last trip for Member Homecoming, we put the kids into the cubs den at the WL. Both boys had a blast and this is what Walker wants to do again on vacation. Walker told me, you know that place Cameron & I went to so you and Daddy could ride Big Thunder Mountain (actually it was RnRC & Twilight Zone, but that's okay, I can live with his memory ;) ).

Needless to say, I don't think I have to worry about him going into the kids club on the cruise. :cheer2: :cheer2:
That's awesome news!!! I'm sure that Emily will do fine too, but she has preschool behind her, so she'll kinda be used to that idea.

Now that would be great! When I win the million dollars, I'll make sure they put one in for us on that cruise we are all going on!

I look at the forums a few times a week and I'm just now seeing this thread for the Members Only Cruise. DH and I are going to be there with our DDs 9 and 4. This is everyones first cruise so we are pretty excited. Any suggestions on what the kids should definitely do? Can't do to many excursions due to my youngest but I still want to make it fun for them.

Thanks!
Hi there!!! Welcome to the group. We're pretty chatty, but jump right in.

I also have a DD that will be 4 in Oct. We've been talking up the kids clubs a lot, so I hope she has fun. Our plan at Key West is to rent the electric cars and ride around town on our own to the Aquarium and the Butterfly Conservatory, and of course, the Coach outlet and the Blonde Giraffe for Key Lime Pie.

That sounds fun! DD just turned 4 in Feb. and to her she thinks she's going to fall off the boat if she moves. :) Every day I'm trying to ease her fears. She's soooo concerned though it's too cute. I think once we get there and she sees everything it will pass very fast!

Well, we'll see you poolside too! We're driving over to BCV on Saturday morning and heading to the pool. Gonna do Beaches & Cream for lunch and then the PI event followed by O'hana.

Maybe we can introduce our two 4 yr olds before the cruise. That's our plan with Cindy's son too. Then, at least they will have friends on the cruise.

We leave Thursday also! Going to stay at the Yacht Club. Used too many points this year on too many cruises! ;) I think our flight lands at MCO at 10:45 AM.
PS another TZ moment We are planning on eating at Beachs and Cream!

Don't forget Amy, I'll be at BC too - and TZ moment, we're planning on Beaches and Cream for lunch too....maybe we'll see you?!?

Oh, I'm sure she'll be fine. Emily cruised for the first time when she was 2 and she LOVED it!! And then, she wasn't even old enough for the clubs. I'm sure that she's really gonna have a blast this time.
