Sept 4-8 2005 Wonder S.S. Member Cruise! Part 3

Good morning and we're almost there.

I do not keep up with everything going on here so maybe someone has mentioned this, but, in light of the fuel situation around the country, would it make sense to go from Key West to Castaway Cay and spend 2 days there instead of a day at sea. Would save tons of fuel I would think.

Sorry if this sounds dumb or someone has mentioned it.

John

John interesting idea. Not sure if they would do it or not. Personally I would hate to see all our brand new cruisers not get to experience a day at sea. I think sea days are wonderful!

Good Morning everyone

We leave in about 14 hours I am so excited. Just for info there is gas in Florida well where I live anyways and we got hit by Katrina. Everyone be safe.

Safe Travels to All, we leave in about 24 hours, Lynn gets to sleep a little and I have a little work to do, pack, sleep ( yeah right) I never sleep before a vacation, just too excited.

Funny, as soon as I read John's post I thought "AND MISS MY DAY AT SEA?" No way!! We can just putter along....taking about 36 hours to go about 300 miles (miles calculated from an online atlas using the map's scale--actual nautical miles may vary)

Good morning everyone!! Very tired this morning. I didn't go to bed until about 4:15am, and here it is 7:15am. But, most of my packing is done, just have to arrange it into the right bags and I'm set. I need to go to Target for little last minute things.

Today, I need to clean the car & the house, do Thank you notes for the crew, get singles for room service tips, pay bills and do a few other minor things and we're set. I already told Chris that I'm not cooking tonight for dinner, so we're going out, so I don't have to clean the kitchen again.

Well, off to get Emily ready for preschool. Safe travels for those leaving today!!

Ok, busy day today. Take the kitten to the kitty motel. Put the final touches on packing and load the van. Finish cleaning the house. Get the hot tub ready for vacation. Finish school with KT. Prod the children into cleaning the playroom......(that's going to be the hard one)

And all of this while Mike is at work. As soon as he comes home he's throwing on "play clothes" and we're heading out. :)

If I'm on much today yell at me!!! :)

Diana congratulations on 1500 posts! :cheer2:

Mary, you're on less sleep than I am. Do you sleep in the car? :)

I never car. It just doesn't work for me. :confused3

Here's how I look at it. If we sail differently than we expect, so be it. It's certainly not going to ruin our cruise by any means. I look at it as incentive to book another one at a later date! :teeth:

Yeah, and this brings up a good point....We've got a great group going on the first double scoop cruise....May 27, 06. Wouldn't it be fun to have as many of us there as possible?? When you're sitting at the rebook desk on this cruise (which many of you WILL be....face it) consider 05/27/06

I second that motion!!! It definately bares repeating.
Crazy day here today.
1. Makes sure Cats have food
2. give itin. to MIL
3. pick up last minute items
4. finish laundry
5. PACK!!!!!! ( I haven't even started)

I just looked at the clock...Diana should be up in the air and landing in Orlando at no time at all!

I'll be right behind her in about 24 hours!!!

YEA!!!!!!!!

I'll come pack for you guys. Even DH was surprised that I got all the stuff I did into 4 suitcases with room to spare! Those space bags bailed me out big-time. And you should have seen me trying to weigh the giant suitcase! :rotfl: It turned out to be only 40lbs, just very hard to weigh on my very small scale!

I couldn't fit my suitcase on my scale so I bought a small travel size scale from Magellan's catalog before our last trip. You can just hook your suitcase handle to it and lift them up to see how much you have to unpack. Oops maybe I was the only one to have to do that. :)

You are not alone.

Although we don't own a scale, we just see if Walker can lift it. We figure if he can, at 5, we shouldn't have a problem. ;) :teeth:
