Sept. 30, 2006 -- Eastern Magic

cool!!

I talked to Erin again today..she hasn't picked up the shirts but she is going to overnight any shirts that are needed early (at her cost). If you are leaving early like Wednesday...please shoot her an email!

ps...worse case scenario, I will bring the shirts and you can pick them up in the terminal..I plan to be there when they open the gates

Has anybody paid for their shirts yet? I haven't heard anything and am worried that maybe Erin didn't get my email. I'm hoping that she did, but we are on the West Coast and are leaving Thursday, so I might need to get mine early. I'll go ahead and contact her again.

Thanks Betsy for all your help with the t-shirts.

David - the bracelets look awesome! :thumbsup2

Only 7 days til we leave for Orlando!!!!

Angela

Good Morning to all. :sunny:

Happy Friday!!! :dance3: :dancer: party:

Well, I finally got my Sea Safe lotion in the mail and Patrick told me that he will go to the beach now. :yay: I still have to get a few more items, like the underwater sea camera, new socks for the hubby, plenty of cat food for the beast. I do hope he can open the cans on his own and feed himself. ;) :rotfl2: The beast is going to stay with my SIL so he'll be nice and big when we get back.

Well time to sit for a few quiet moments and cuddle with the beast and have some coffee. :coffee:  :cat:

Talk to you all later. Hey Tracey, are you up yet? :teeth:

DiDi :grouphug:

Angela - I think she mentioned your name...I know she said one on the west coast would be sent overnight..

When she has the shirt and ready to send, she will email you the amount...that way you don't pay till they are shipped.

she keeps assuring me there will be no problem...since this is her business and I have never had a problem getting my work shirts (we order thousands) I am trusting her

This time next week..I will be loading the car for the 3 hour drive to the Radisson!!!

Brought the table and suitcases up at 5:35 am. Have officially packed scoks & underwear. As soon as I put the swimsuit in the backpack, I'm ready to go. :cool1: :dance3: No Friday night blues on the 6th, that's the best part.

Happy friday everyone :sunny: , another busy weekend of shopping for me...have quite a few things I have to pick up, also still need to get to the drycleaners.

This time next week I will be boarding a plane for Orlando (anyone flying American thru Dallas next friday?)

I too have had trouble sleeping this week, seem to wake up at 4:15am and toss and turn running packing lists in my head until it is time to get up.

Well, it is off to work,

Jennifer

Good Morning Everyone!

Yes, DiDi, I was up but didn't have time to get on-line. I did sleep better last night and didn't have to drug myself. Much calmer today. I think the sleep is helping :thumbsup2 .

I would like to say that the bracelets some of you have for the cruise are great!

I just received the portable luggage scale. It's actually pretty cool. So, for any of you flying commercially home that buy lots of things, you are welcome to borrow it.

I had never heard of Sea Safe lotion before. I'll call the local surf/dive shops and see if they have it. It makes sense to have something like that with us since we will be snorkling.

This weekend is my last chance to purchase things so if anyone comes up with other out of the ordinary items, please give me heads up.

Have a happy day!

Tracey :ccat:

As an FYI, drugstore.com carries it, and if you have an FSA (flexible spending acct. where you contribute pre-tax dollars for medical expenses not covered by insurance) this item is eligible. Dramamine/Bonine is FSA eligible, too. I was even able to pay for it with my FSA debit card, and I don't have to submit any receipts, which is nice. They have a whole section of FSA-approved items which takes the guesswork out of which over-the-counter meds are covered.

WOW you all have been busy this morning! I am stuck here at work. Plus, a girl is out sick today so I am pulling a double-duty :confused3 . Ran to Claire's at lunch and picked DD up a sparkling headband for formal night and me a pair of skull/crossbow earrings for pirate night pirate: . Am running to Wal Mart tonight for my last minute items, and there just aren't that many things, thank goodness! We should be set!

This time next week we will be on the plane with about an hour left before landing! :woohoo: Y'all have a great day now!

Hi all-

What kind of clothing are you putting your kids in for formal nights? My kids haven't really needed anything REALLY dressy up till now. I am starting to freak out...

I'm putting my 3-year old DS in a white shirt/black pants/tie/vest Claiborne set. He looks really cute in it.

For my 5-year old DS, I'm bringing a black suit, dress shirt and tie.

These are items I already had on hand, personally I don't want to spend alot of money on something that will only get worn once (not counting our pirate costumes :rotfl: ) before they outgrow it.

I have dark suits for both my boys (DS4 and DS10). The DS10 wanted a tux (not happening). I don't know if you have Kohl's in your area but I went there last weekend and they had a good sale on pants and jackets for kids. Macy's had sent all their sets back. JCPenny had some but not on sale. Goody's closing out shirts/ties for kids. Wal-Mart dress shirts/ties on sale (found this out after purchasing others). Kids look great no matter what. I say go simple and inexpensive. If mine hadn't begged to dress up, I wouldn't have bought the suits. Afterall, the ties are going to end up with spots. The white shirts will be trashed and untucked. The shoes will give them blisters. GOOD LUCK!

Tracey

It's 5 O'clock somewhere and not soon enough here............ ;)

Polo shirts for my 9 almost 10 DS and chino pants, real cheap at walmart/macy. He has a passed down suit for formal night and plenty of white shirts and ties from private school. He will be wearing his sneakers, I will not go and pay $60.00 for dress shoes that he will wear one time. My child has extra wide feet and I have to go to a specialty shoe store for him. I figure as long as the pictures are from the knee up I will be fine. :teeth:

Semi formal, white shirt, tie and dress chino's for the good looking lad.

Got to go and get a few more things done.

DiDi

DS8 will be in a dark suit with his choice of colored shirt/tie for formal. Then, he'll wear some kind of the same combo for semi-formal - no jacket/no tie if he chooses. I got all mine at JC Penney and they were pretty reasonable. :thumbsup2

Now, here's my question: Is there a Starbucks :lovestruc near the port anywhere? We are staying at the new Residence Inn, but I'm willing to travel for a good cup of joe. :coffee:

ONLY 7 MORE DAYS PEOPLE!!!! party:

:cloud9: DD has these black strappy sandles she's been saving for formal night. She wants to dress up every night. We don't dress up very often, so this will be a treat. ;) Going to Kohl's tonight to find a black skirt for formal night for her. She has a pretty dressy short to do with it, but this morning I got the "I don't want to wear that", so we'll see. She is such a fashion diva :lmao: Kohl's has great kid's clothes. Hoping to find a couple last minute things for me too (ON CLEARANCE).

Ordered the basket today from Shirley full of girly trinkets and Tinker Bell stuff for her. She has no idea about the basket, so that'll be a little surprise for her. Geez, if I'm going all out I may as well GO ALL OUT! As my mom used to tell me when I was a kid "You're going to put me in the poor house" :rolleyes1

Here is Kate from last year...she is wearing the same dress this year

Hi Everyone, was offline a few days; Nice to be back online. I've been doing a little last minute shopping. For those looking for inexpensive pirate costumes for yourself or your kids, Walmart is the spot. I guess with Halloween around the corner we will all be able to benefit from it. As for formal night, DS 4 is wearing a black suit, shirt and tie (he wore it once, on Easter) and DD 10 is wearing a formal dress I found on clearance at JCP for 9.99 :cheer2: The family will be officially packed by Monday. I want to try to wind down before leaving. I'm so excited to go on vacation, by the time I get there I'll be exhausted if I don't calm down.

Sheila, talked with Shirley on Monday. She was really nice to talk with. I'm guessing she'll be shopping for Tinkerbell novelties for our girls this weekend because I mentioned that my daughter loves "Tink" and she said she would handle it. My children have no idea about the baskets either!

Looking forward to Friday, Kia
