Sept. 30, 2006 -- Eastern Magic

Will try to start on door magnets soon. Want to do something special for DD and her Birthday :wizard:. I want to download some clip art, however, my high speed is on the blink :badpc: and I am using my mother's dial up for checking e-mail and boards. :guilty: Too slow for downloading. Supposed to be up and running on Saturday. We'll see

Love the door magnet! Wish I could be as creative! Gee, went to Wally World yesterday and bought out the store with cruise stuff. (basic necessities, i.e., spray sunscreen, white pillowcase, colored sharpies, disposable cameras, etc., etc.) My aunt is going to embroider DD's name on the white pillowcase before we go.

Also, some pixie dust my way as well. :wizard: When I first booked my cruise in February, all Cat. 12 rooms were gone. Since I am a single mom on a budget, that is what I wanted. Well, I ended up booking an 11 (which I am told is almost the same exact thing as a 12 except for price) and I was surfing the web on different travel sites the other day and these Cat. 12's kept popping up. I called DU and asked them and they said "all 12's are booked". Well just Friday I went to several sites again (including DCL) and 12's were there. So I asked DU again, and low and behold there was a 12 available and they are crediting me some $$$! I am immediately going to put it on my shipboard account.

SO, Cruise is paid off, I have several hundred $$$ on shipboard account, airfare is booked, just ready to GO!!!!!! :cool1:

OH, AND........Who has seen Pirates 2?????? pirate: I loved it. Pirates is my very favorite movie of all time and I have seen it 15 times. I loved 2, but not as well as 1. Just can't wait for 3! Can't believe its a year away!!!!

Gotta run and do some walking..........

Wow! Stephen's door sign wins hands down. :artist: :worship: I'm still in the learning stages. Didi, you are probably better off with your nephew. Mine looks like kindergarten compared to his. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:  (But, I'm still willing if you're desperate!)

How come I can't post links either? :confused3 How long does it take before I can add pictures?? :confused3 I'm getting kinda frustrated because I want to show stuff to y'all. :furious:

Guess what??? :listen: DH wants to go to tea too! :lmao: :lmao: We were at a little shop yesterday that served High Noon Tea and I told him all the "ladies" were getting together for tea on the cruise and by the look on his face I knew he wanted to go. I told him that Bill wanted to go too - tee hee. I'll get a separate ressie for us, so I guess I'll be having tea twice...

Oh well, have a great day/evening everyone. Happy Monday!

Angela

Hi All,

We saw Dead Man's Chest on Saturday. I liked it but I liked the 1st one more. If anyone wants to chat via PM I'll give more info. Don't want to spoil it for anyone.

When should I try and get our dining rotations linked? Is now too soon? I don't want to send the DCL people a lot of changes. So far I've only gotten info from Kim. Anybody else interested?

Gotta run...

David

Wow, thanks for all the positive comments! Makes me feel good. :) Not trying to brag by this, but if anyone else would like me to possible attempt one, I'd have no problem doing it, it doesn't take very long. (Please don't hate me)

Oh, and Pirates 2 > Pirates 1, as soon as you accept the fact that its meant to go hand in hand with 3.

sheila: Funny thing is with only 12 or so cat 12s you might still be upgraded to an 11 (or higher) - and saved money! :teeth: I had 2 cat 12s booked for my family of 6 and ended up with 10s. :thumbsup2

Trying to hold out on seeing "Pirates" until the cruise. pirate:

Jennifer :wave2:

Kudo's to Sheila for getting more money back into her pocket.   Sheila, God Bless you and God Bless all the single mothers out there. :grouphug: I truely don't know how you manage it. Not to say God Bless all the married woman out there who have to put up with their husbands!!!! :teeth: :rolleyes1 ;)

Angela, what day are you going for high tea with the hubby? Would you like some other couples' company? I know Bill can hold up his pinkie with the best of them. :lmao: :lmao: If we go together, we can critic their pinkie techniques. :lmao: :lmao: 5 points if it's straight up in the air, and 10 points if it has just the slightest of curves to it. :lmao: :lmao: Sooooo honey, what is your favorite tea? Mine is Lady Grey, a lot more delicate then the Earl Grey. I do hope they serve cucumber sandwiches...yummy!!!! No honey, they don't serve 3/4 pound hamburgers at high tea!!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Well time to put in a load of laundry. :laundy: Then time for pleasant dream world for me. :cloud9:

Good Night to all and pleasant dreams. :grouphug:

Hi Angela,
You are from Seatle, the international capital of the caffene high.

:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

You,of all people, should understand that a man's appreciation for high tea is based on his addictions, not on gender confusion issues.

Your caffenated warthog, :thumbsup2

Angela, I'm still a taker, both you and Stevie and anyone else who wants to help me decorate our door. :thumbsup2

David, I love you dearest BIL.  Would you be so kind to help us not so tech people with step by step intructions to post links and pictures to the thread.  David is the best!!!

Hi Jennifer, so glad you came on board. :teeth: So sad you won't be living in Easton. :sad2: I sooo happy you will be with your DH.

Okay, one last thing am I to OC? :confused3 Today while sitting on the commuter train into Boston, I started my list of what I am going to wear each night on the cruise!!! Is it too early to start packing? :confused3

DiDi :grouphug:

I think our cruise must be getting full. Last time I checked, it looked like there were no longer any cat 10's!

--------------------------------------
Did any of you repeat cruisers have any difficulties booking Palo or excursions? Did you get up in the middle of the night to book?

--------------------------------------
Didi - You are not OC - I also have started planning what to wear for each dinner.

cnb: I have been playing around with the DCL site (I'm currently between jobs - can you tell I have too much time on my hands :teeth: ) and I too noticed that the 10s are gone, 11s also look sparse for parties of 4. If I remember right cat 6 (or was it 5) are now GTY. Some rooms will become available again as we hit that 75 day mark when final payments are due.

DiDi: Wow you are organized - haven't thought much about what to wear yet...did order a new bathing suit from V. Secret (HeeHee :rotfl: - never ordered a bathing suit before - I must be  ) Any who...I guess I have beach on my brain - all I can think of is snorkling in that beautiful water. :beach: Thank you for helping me with Easton info...in the end DH just couldn't stand to be away from the kids for that long of a separation.

Had a great day today, not only did I find out I was released from jury duty tomorrow :woohoo: but I got to meet Lenzs4 , DS and DD at the local McDonalds. Both of our boys are not fond of the clubs so I thought if they got together before the trip they might try to enjoy the clubs. I had a great time and my son swears he has met Lenzs4's DS somewhere before (San Tan soccer maybe????)

Time to clean up those pesky dinner dishes

Jennifer :sunny:

Jenschaef1 - My kids and I had a great time at McDonald's today. Not only did the kids play while we chatted about the cruise, Jenschaef1 brought a cruise gift for us (a magical moment and we are not even on the ship yet) and we are even more excited about our trip than we were before!!
As we were driving home I was thinking about soccer - if you do not have a team you always play with - you could request to be with us!! We play with coach Scott Barmore. The team is a lot of fun although many of our best players went to Legacy this year. That might be where they have met. DS plays soccer every year!
I went home from McDonald's ready to book a Palo brunch but it seems they are already booked -no more are listed. Jennifer had convinced me to give it a try. I guess now I have to try to book onboard. I should have kept the one I booked originally. That is what I get for being wishy-washy.

Shirley

:rotfl: Thank you Cindy for not thinking I was too OC! ;) Jennifer, you thought I was organized.... :lmao: :lmao: I really do try!!! But I know that the truth will come out from one of my family members. :rotfl2:  Perhaps, the truth will be spilled from my BIL, Dearest Sister or my loving DH. Time will tell! :rolleyes1

As for packing yet... I have to blindside my Maine Coon cat, Barney. :cat: Last year I had the suitcases out for about a month in a half. Well, Barney started to get separation anxiety. :scared: Every time we left the house he would wrap his paws around our legs and try to bite us. :cat: The beast managed to get his point across. I'm think of stashing everything in plastic bins until the night before so I won't have puncture marks and scabs all over my legs while on the cruise. :rotfl:

Best get the menfolk up. I'll be back later. :wave2:

DiDi :grouphug:

Hi All,

Di, I'll be glad to comply and inform the group of your organization. ;) DiDi can be an organized person, on months not ending in 'y' and on Feb 29th. :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

No, she can be organized. I'm just teasing Di. :thumbsup2

Back to work.

Oh! Does anybody in the group play cards? Cribbage? Spades? Heart? How about Chess or Backgammon? Maybe we can play a bit online before the cruise in preperation for some leisure time on the cruise? Huh? How about it? :confused3

Is it time to go yet?

Hello everyone, my husband and I are booked on the September 30, 2006 cruise along with our 3 year old daughter. This is not our first cruise but is our first Disney cruise and we are getting very excited :cool1: to go. I thought I would drop a thread and chat with some fellow passengers.

Guess I should have started reading posts before adding my first post, after reading I have tons of questions. First off I don't think I had mentioned that my name is Lisa, I did mention that we have a 3 year old daughter anyone else have children around that age? We are booked in room #6596, any neighbors here? I had seen a few posts regarding door decorating, sounds like fun :artist: , whats up with that? We just paid our trip in full and now the excitement is really building I think I'm more excited than my daughter is, I hate to wish my summer :sunny: away but I can't wait to travel. :sail:

Angela...what happened to the info in the first post??
