I would love to WARM IT UP A BIT for you. I'm trying to wear shorts and t-shirts, but the weather isn't cooperating here. It was pouring down rain and really humid last week - the rain we can live with, but humidity is something we Seattlites don't deal well with. :sunny:

I don't know anything about the Doubletree, I'm only familiar with hotels downtown. Have you looked at anything there? The port is right in downtown Seattle so you would be really close to a lot of touristy type activities. :teeth:

Betsy - I did that with a mug too for my son -- I scanned Yugioh cards for him and put them in his mug. That's a great idea for DCL stuff. I'm gonna have to try that. :artist:

My Dh and I are going to. Our first 7 day. We went on a 4 day and just loved it. Can not wait.

Betsy - LOVE the tumbler! What a creative idea! I also got Kaitlyn's message but Baylee is in bed so will have her respond back to Kaitlyn tomorrow when school is out. Last day of school is Wednesday. Poor baby, loves school and is actually sad to see it end! :guilty:

I'm enjoying these years because soon she will not want to go to school :bitelip:

She will be done with 1st grade and on to 2nd. MY, where has the time gone?? :sad2:

Are you sailing on the Magic or Wonder?? I think you meant Magic...lol...I posted on the wrong thread last year...got to know a bunch of people that weren't on my cruise!! LOL!

Shelia - Kate finished school last wednesday...she started camp yesterday and seems to like it! I will tell her to expect a note later.

ok..off to get ready for another day!! 25 days till I can make some reservations!!

Anyone have a suite? they can start in 6 days!

Last year I booked a family cruise to Alaska for 7/01/06 Cost like 30K with flights and excursions. Decided insurance was too expensive. Two days ago my right knee blew up got an appt with ortho doc and had MRI last night. Who would have thought. I'll go even if in a wheel chair. I think I've learned a lesson. Worse case I'll send the kids & gk's but I've been looking forward to this cruise for a long time. :sad2:

Havent't seen the list for reminder bands grow at all. Whats up? This is a great reminder of the cruise

Hi all, haven't checked this thread in months. Between a part time job, volunteering at the kids' school and taking care of 4 kids, I don't know what happened to this year. :confused3

Anyway, it will be our 4th DCL cruise. We have done 2- 4 day Wonder cruises, and 1-7 day Western. The cast of characters includes: DH - Tom, Me (DW)-Jennifer, DD- 17, DD- 15, DS-9 and DD-6. We live in AZ and are lucky enough to have a school break in early Oct so we cruise more or less the same week every year. At the present time we have 2 cat 12 guaranteed rooms.

didi: I was lucky enough to visit Easton last week with DH who is looking into a job transfer in the region, a real estate agent toured us around Easton, Walpole, Sharon, and Hanover - I don't want to hijack the thread but would love to know your thoughts on the public school system.

Here's the scoop about the Lovely Town of Easton.... I love it!!! Very close to Boston, 35 Min. drive to the big city. Close to commuter trains. Has three super markets, Hannfords is good, Roche Bros. is best!!!! Shaw's is not to good. :sad2:

The school system is the best, it is rated very high compared to Walpole, Hanover, or Sharron.

Sharron is okay, Walpole don't go there.... Hanover is just too far!!!

We have lived in Easton for 9 yrs and are planning to move this year. We are only looking in Easton due to the school system being the best. Currently our property taxes have helped in fixing up the schools, the high school is looking real good with new baseball, football and soccer fields.

If you move there, we will have to hook up and I'll give you a tour of the area.

Where will your husband's job be? I do hope all goes well and please send me any questions, via the thread or just PM me. DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT THE OTHERS SAY ABOUT US NEW ENGLAND FOLKS, WE ARE REALLY NICE. :teeth:

I forgot to ask you about your DS who is 9, what grade will he be going into next year? Patrick is 9 and will be going into 4th grade. He will be 10 in Nov.

What school do your kids go to here in Chandler? I teach at Basha Elementary and love our October break (although I wish I could get a Sept. or May cruise break every once in a while). My kids are 8 and 5 so they will be in the clubs together (if my son will go - he would not leave our side the last cruise although I made him go twice just so he could see it was fun). I plan to make him try it again - with sign out privledges to see if that helps. We'll see.

...I love the school schedule, we always take our big vacation during fall break. My kids go to Jacobson, although we are in the Basha boundary area (left them at Jacobson when we moved a few years ago) Let me know if you want to get the kids together before the cruise say at McDonalds or something...we have done that in previous years (I always seem to meet someone on the boards from Chandler, cruising with us) My 8 yr old and 5 year old are not wild about the clubs but it does help if they know someone ahead of time.

didi: thanks for info on Easton, ...ok I should clarify for everyone since we have members of the thread from Chandler AZ and Easton MA and it makes my life seem really confusing :rolleyes:

We live in Chandler but spouse is interviewing for a job in suburban MA. (didi - I will PM you with the name of the company) If spouse gets job in MA (and the particulars can be worked out) we will be moving to DiDi's neck of the woods but I will be staying here in AZ for the next school year so my Senior can finish up. Spouse will go it alone :sad2:

Which makes me really sad :guilty:

, but with the holidays and 2 vacations planned it won't be too bad I hope. My DS 8 (but 9 before the cruise) will indeed be in 4th grade next year, it is nice that we have several kids in that age group, they will have a much better time in the clubs if they know someone.

I think that is a great idea! I think that might help the kid feel more comfortable - if they already know at least one other person.

Just stopping by to say "Hello". It has been a while. My oldest son just graduated from high school, and is going to be joining Disney career path in August. He plans to attend Valencia community college while working for Disney. He is very excited!! I'm excited too because he will get discounts for us!!! Looking forward to the cruise. I was up and down about going because My house insurance here in Florida just tripled, and that hurt financially. Anyway, Pray for no hurricanes!!!!! Looking forward to meeting you all
