We're taking our annual girls only Disney trip on the cruise this time. It will be myself (33) my mother (she'd kill me to reveal her age) and my DDs (4 and 5). They've watched the planning video and I think it's going to be a struggle to keep them out of the oceaneer's club the whole time! My DDs go to year round school so they'll be out this week.

Hope to meet some great folks!!
hey...we are on our annual mom trip too....My Mom..me(36) DD 8.5 at time of sailing...we usually go to WDW, but the went on the Magic last year, and loved it so much, we re booked!

Sheila, What a great gift for your daughter!! We need to hook up while we are gone. The boys are not finding out what we are doing till we get there. They think we are going to the beach for a week, should be fun? Has your daughter ever cruised before?
Kim

Kim - how great for your boys! What a surprise! My DD princess: and I are cruise newbies. Neither of us have been on a cruise. The last vacation we were on was her 3rd birthday to FL (we were at Magic Kingdom) which she doesn't remember, so we are SO looking forward to this.

I am in the middle of a divorce right now and hopefully it will be final by then and I will be CELEBRATING WOO HOO. :Pinkbounc We will definitely have to hook up! :yay:

We will be going on sept 30 cruise. have a 4, 8, 11 year old going with us. hoping to find them friends. also taking grandparents with us.

Hi kimmcbee -- our son will be 8 on the cruise too. Like your sons, mine makes friends very easily and I'm not too worried about that, I just hope he likes the kids clubs enough so DH and I can have dinner at Palo and maybe a spa treatment. Other than that, we plan on hanging out with him - if he lets us. ;)

We are so excited, it is hard keeping it from the boys. If they find out we are going they will drive us crazy!! They have never cruised and always wanted to go with us, so I think they will enjoy it. We usually do disney world in the summer so they should have fun. See you there

My Daughter lost control on the ski slop and ran into a tree. Broke her neck in three places. We've been in a panic for two days. Thank God a specialist in Philadelphia saw her today and he said no operation would be needed. She'll be in a special body brace for six weeks at least. My stomach is still doing flips. My wife took today off and will also be with her Tuesday. She can not be left alone. I'll be with her Wednesday. and my DIL Thursday and my son Friday. Her husband just got a big promotion at work so we feel he needs to be there. He's really been a basket case, he saw the whole thing happen, he doesn't think he'll ever forget the picture burned in his brain. All prayers will be appreciated. :grouphug:

Prayers and Pixie dust going out in MUCHO amounts!!! How very scary!!!!

I think I am going to cry for y'all!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter's accident. Being a parent, I can't even fathom my child getting hurt in any way. My heart goes out to you and your family. Take care.

Prayers and pixie dust to you all!! :grouphug: pixiedust:

joksten 2000......Sending you and your family thoughts and well wishes for your daughter's speedy recovery..... :wizard: :grouphug:

Knock, knock. Anybody there? OK people, our cruise is getting closer. Has anyone started a packing list yet? Do you know when you are going to do Palo? Have you figured out your excursions yet? I'm getting excited and I think I'm going to start shopping soon. :yay: Already keeping my eye out for an over the door shoe holder (my dollar store didn't have one, so I might have to spend the extra few bucks at Target). As are plans are right now, we are flying in the night before, renting a car from Budget and staying the night before at Ron Jons. We are taking the red eye and will arrive at 7:00 a.m. -- hopefully Ron Jons will let us use the room early that day (I haven't checked yet).

So, what are everyone else's plans? I booked our cruise way back in May '05 and can't believe we have only 7 more months to go. Hoo hoo!!

Hello  9/30/2006 cruisers! Been cheking out the boards for quite some time now so I decided to register and let the world know that I'll be cruising too! Cruiser will be myself, DH, DD 11, DS 4. This is our third Disney cruise, first 7day cruise. The first time was our honeymoon 2000 and I fell in love with DCL. Cruised with other lines and none can compare. My children are very excited about the cruise, tried to keep it a secret; I was too excited and spilled the beans. My daughter will be celebrating her 11th birthday on the cruise Oct 3rd. I'm really excited about it  and so is she. My son was 2 the last time we cruised and he still remembers the mickey ear(pool) that's what he calls it. He wasn't able to participate in any of the clubs then, so I'm pretty siked about his upcoming experience. We're pretty optimistic about September cruising, praying that there will be no Hurricanes, the price was outstanding (for a DCL cruise) so we had to book. We'll probably book while were on the cruise this time and get that $200 onboard credit. We weren't prepared ($) last cruise and left the ccards at home, but I'll be ready! Here's to a Great Cruise :sunny:

Woo hoo! Welcome aboard! I am fairly new here as well. I just booked and paid off the cruise. I am a single mom and and bringing DD7. It will be just the two of us. She turns 8 Oct 2 on the cruise too!

We are coming in the 29th and staying at the Doubletree Oceanside in Cocoa Beach. My ex-inlaws are picking us up (they live in Tampa and want to see us - haven't for two years) and spending the afternoon/evening with us, then they will see us off Saturday morning when we board the Magic!

I just bought my Passporter's, as this is our first time cruising and don't know what to expect. WOW what a load of information that book has, plus these boards are a TREMENDOUS wealth of information!

Here's to happy cruisin'!

WOO HOO

I just paid off my cruise last week too!! Isn't it a nice feeling...now I start saving for my Spa treatments!! I think I am going to try the verandah treatment with the hot tub...I got to tour the suite last year and it really looks awesome...hot tub on a private deck...lounge chair and shower... :cloud9:

I wish DH was going...but I will try to enjoing it! ;)

we booked the 9/30 cruise last year on our california cruise. first time (out of 7) that we rebooked onboard. silly us!

we are me, dh, and 3 ds...will be 14, 12 (almost 13), and 7 (almost 8). though early, we'll celebrate the younger two's birthdays on board as oldest ds has celebrated his bd twice on dcl (but he has a june bd...october is harder with boys in school).

nice to meet everyone!

Beth

Hi All-
I am new to this forum, so glad I found it!

We are booked on the Magic sept. 30th also. We actually booked it while we were on the Wonder this past October. We went on the land/sea package and loved it. We cruised with some friends of ours and had a blast! This year, however, we are cruising without friends (their kids were NIGHTMARES and wouldn't go to any of the kids camps, UHHGG!) so needless to say, we are looking at meeting other cruisers. We have a son, 9, and a daughter, 5. This time after the cruise we are skipping Disney, sniff, and trying Universal and Islands of adventure. We are booked at the Hard Rock. Is anyone else doing a similar itinerary? Looking forward to chatting!

We're thinking of staying on the coast and maybe doing NASA. Our boys have been to Johnson Space Center in Houston (we live in Texas), so we thought it would be fun for them to see Kennedy. We might head to Vero for the night. Not sure.

What is everyone else doing?

I think about 214 days, Right now I'm focusing on 4/15, it's almost here. Welcome aboard dizneykids & rellyrooly. Get rolling in a couple of months
:cool1: :Pinkbounc

Hello Everyone,

This will be our third time sailing with Disney. I have a DS4, and A DS15, my husband, and myself. We went on the Western Magic last year about the same time. We had a wonderful time. I never hooked up with anyone from the disboards on the last cruise. Hopefully this time we can make some friends prior to cruising. We are from Florida's west coast. I am trying to research excursions for the Eastern, so if you have any ideas it would be appreciated!!! Look forward to meeting everyone.

Thanks Patti
