I'm thinking there is nothing to stop them from changing the itinerary around again (perfectly allowable by them according to the guest contract that we sign).

Makes it hard to make a reservation for anything on your own.

Kinda of like the airlines moving flights all the time and trying to keep your car rental times in sync with your flight times.

Tom- I was wondering if we should just cancel our Atlantis Ressie too. Does anyone know what kind of penalty we would get at this point? It didn't say on the reservation sheet I printed.

I see that the 3 day cruise right before ours is receiving their documents this week.

That means that ours should all be starting to arrive really soon

Sorry about the typeo this morning. I was writing in a hurry. I was shocked like everyone else. Does anyone know what the all aboard time in Nassau is? On the Sept 25 docs it says 5pm but on the website says 7pm. I alos found t interesting the reason why it changed. How can they already be changing something due to safety when it is not close enough for something to happen. (You can't predict that far out....)

According to another DISer, this is the response they received...

"the agent told me this is something new they are trying with a few cruises and may or may not be permanent...He said that they have had requests to do the at sea first and it may be more fuel efficient"

I think I would have preferred the last day being the sea day, just becasue I would feel like I had more time to get everything packed up. With CC on the final day, it feels kinda like going from there to dinner to the shows and back to the room to try and get everything ready.

I would guess that this would make Nassau Day pirate night, since I don't think they'd have that on the final night, though it could be the at sea night.

I'm sure everything will go smoothly and we will all have a magnificent time.

okay I made the call to DCL the pirate party will be day 2 (sea day) and the Dress-Up night will be night 3 (nassua), nights 1 and 4 are simply cruise casual.

Just a reminder that we will not be participating in the FE family gift exchange.

I can't believe how close we're getting to sail away! I hope the itinerary change is not a big inconvenience to anyone.

I'm happy that I told our grandchildren all about the ship and not too much about the ports of call. We never know if there will be a change in plans and we didn't want too sad little boys on vacation!

I'm sure it will be all good.

Still no docs or cabin assignments.

No worries! We are giving one gift for each family, so at this stage you are looking at around 20 gifts but this may drop. It is entirely up to you which day you want to deliver them into peoples' FEs. Make the gift simple, it can be something from your home town/state or something Disney or something pirate - it really is up to your imagination. Some people are focussing their gifts on the kids, but I think we are kids of all ages and will enjoy the fun of exchanging without worrying about the gift itself!

Welcome to the FE list. It's not too late. We set our "cut-off" date for this Sunday (Sept 7). Just let Churros know your stateroom number and the number of adults in your party along with the number of kids including their ages.

Everyone remember, our dismeet will be the first day, 3:00 at the promenade lounge.
