Sept. 26, 2009 Magic

Hmm Ana, let's see;

Allthough to be honest; those suitcases probably will be filled a lot more after being at WDW and with the grocery list some folks are handing out to me. :rotfl:
OK lets see I want Chocolate, Klompens, Chocolate, some eeyore stuff um what else LOL

Is 3 out of 4 enough? :lmao::rotfl2::banana:

PS; you can loose the -s on 'klompen'. Plural in Dutch is either adding -s or -en. So basically, you can not walk on one klomp, but you can on two klompen. Or at least, if they are in the right size. :angel::idea:

I think that we are the last ones on the block, but none the less Cruise Docs arrived today.

No upgrade.

Can everyone post how many bags (checked/carry on) they are anticipating. Maybe then I can see if I'm insane and overpacked. Let's also not forget that I already sent a box down to Florida to my MIL with pirate costumes, FE gifts and sand toys/floats for CC.

Because of the high cost of luggage. I am sharing a big suitcase with both my twin boys. Both girls are sharing one and DH has his own, which also is carrying the FE's and toilteries. All 4 kids will have a backpack for their carryon, and DH will have all his laptop work stuff for a carryon. And I will have my purse and a tote bag.

I guess 3 will be enough. and thanks for reminder on the "s" I know better.

Rebecca -Even though I am zuperdaave's wife, can you please put me down on the green cardstock, Momoftwogirls? Thanks!

Just when I was just about to post a big post, baby girl just woke up. I'll try to catch up later on!

Exactly one week from today we will be in the car driving, hopefully having crossed over into PA!!! :cool1::rotfl2:

I want to go on vacation!!!!

Great news!!! DD5 got the all clear from her oncologist today! No evidence of recurrent cancer! We are so thankful! Now we can dive into the cruise fearlessly!

Just wanted to share the good news with the "online DIS family"

:cool1::thumbsup2:banana::cool1::love::banana::cool1::dance3::cheer2:

:banana: Congrats on the good news, now we both families have something to rejoice about!:woohoo::yay:

Was thinking the same!
I have a ?????? about packing a bottle of malibu. Should it be packed in the checked bag or the carry on? If packed in carry on won't they confiscate it as too much liquid? I thought there was a liquid amount limit for flying? Need to know what I should do and what bag to pack it in!

As far as I know, all liquor should be carry on for DCL. There is a limit on carrying it onto a flight when crossing boarders, but if there is for flying within the US?? I'ld probably check out the TSA website, should probably find it on there.

You need to pack it in a checked bag to get it to Orlando per TSA regs. Then you need to put it in a carry on to board The Magic, per DCL regs.

Ummm... good thing I am driving. I think she meant West Virginia. :rotfl:

It will be around 15 hours, depending on how fast I drive and how many times the kids have to stop.

Strategy: Get behind a line of cars going 85 and hang way back watching for brake lights. I call them radar bait. LOL :car:

mickey&minnie4ever's room number is 5634

mickey&minnie4ever's parents room number is 5636

This cruise is in celebration of DW's 36th birthday on September 30 and Dnana's 51st birthday for October 14:cheer2:

I found it on the DCL website under gifts. I think it is also listed on the main disboard site under Lisa's question/answer thread.

Thanks to everyone who answered my question about what to wear parasailing. I guess swimsuit and coverup or capris it is!

I just finished shopping for the crusie!!! I figured next week between a family bridal shower and then preparing for the part and actually hosting the birthday party, there was not going to be any time next weekend for it. So nice to have it crossed off my list!! I think I am going to start packing the girls clothes. Lord knows they have way more clothes than my hubby and I and won't miss any clothes!! :rotfl2:

Okay, so while the packing cubes are super cool, they did NOT keep me from packing too much and still needing 4 carry ons and 2 checked bags...one of which is nearly at the maximum for size and weight.

Hon, I'm telling you this with all sorts of love behind it - - you are overpacking!! :hug: BUT, the good thing is that once you get a cruise under your belt, you won't overpack (by as much a margin) for future cruises. To answer your question, we are taking one large suitcase and a garmet bag. However, I guess in theory we may be cheating a bit becuase our large suitcase doesn't have to weigh less than 50 pounds since we are driving. :thumbsup2

OMGoodness, this about made me choke on Diet Coke. :rotfl2:

I have to tell you guys that we've decided *not* to book our 2010 cruise, and, instead, are going to be spending 2 whole weeks at Disney during Christmas! The uber-planner in me is so, so excited! We are actually going to take a couple days and try out Universal too, so that should be something new and fun to do. Anyone else have 2010 Christmas plans at the World? :flower3:
