Congrats! You'll love the balcony! (says the cruisevirgin ). There will be stateroom avail with a balcony, or they wouldn't have let you book GTY. Worst case scenario they'll upgrade you away from the warm-yet-not-as-hot-as-deck2-party-deck.


My day started out way to early today, yeiks. But no complaining from me, we're finally getting some summer weather this week. So, I decided this afternoon will be spent doing close to nothing. So here I sit in the sun with my laptop. Oh boy, it's a hard life.

Waiting to hear from our TA about our balcony. We haven't been a cruise without a balcony for 9 years. So it was just slightly a bummer that this time we decided on just the oceanview. I was trying to not be a sourpuss because after all, it was still a cruise right. But now....

I'm just not sure at this point if/when we'll get our room assignment which could cause a problem with FE. I guess I'll find out today.

Crystal: Your alone week sounds wonderful!! I'd miss the family too, but I'd definitely use the time to catch up on EVERYTHING1!!

No prob! There are more cabins that are GTY at this moment. You should know before boarding, and if there are any changes at the last moment, we are supposed to have some whiteboards at some doors where we can leave that basic info for eachother to find. Our group thinks about everything.

I think we talked about putting a whiteboard in a central location for those who won't get their room assignments until they check-in, or just generally to write messages to the group. I was planning on buying a small whiteboard anyway, but I would be happy to buy a bigger one and be the whiteboard hostess...? We are 6634 and are fairly close to the elevators so it wouldn't be too out of the way.

And, about my week alone...it's amazing to me how quiet my house actually is without my peeps. I am getting a lot of stuff done, though. My goal for the next couple of days is to get our closet cleaned out...it's bursting at the seams!

I did see those pictures. It's really funny that when we first toured BLT I wasn't that wowed by the decor (BUT I loved the color scheme). However, the more that I see, the more I love it, especially the lounge pictures. WOWOWOWOWOW!! It stinks that we'll only be there for one night and won't really get to experience the resort in all of its glory. And, what's worse, is that, although we have BLT booked for a couple nights prior to our June, 2010 cruise, we are going to try to change to BCV instead. I'm secretly hoping that we can't get into BCV, honestly.

Hmm, I can imagine that excemption. (spelling?) They are quite the pools/location! So you have your work cut out for you, making sure you drown TB so much in the love-BLT-virus she will not be doing some serious begging to go back to BCV after she's had the pleasure of staying there a couple of days.

Smart move for June though. Great pool for her to hang out during those heatbreaks.

I'm so hyper after reading the mainboard and finding out that the 2011 itineraries will be officially announced during the D23 expo-something. Which means; early september! Hopefully the prices will be acceptable. If so, I'll have my next trip planned again before going on this one. Just the way I like it!

The BLT pictures look awesome! Personally I'm still a huge fan of BCV. Epcot is our fav (well use to be now with Bailey that might change). Plus we love not having to uses the buses as much to get around. It's such a nice walk to Epcot and DHS. But I would love to stay at least once at BLT. My dad is the DVC member and we're going again with him and mom in December. Right now were in Saratoga b/c that's all we could get. We're on the waitlist for BCV or BWV. Crossing fingers we get in.

No, actually we'll be doing 3 nights at BLT or BCV (only 2 days at the parks) and the 5 night cruise on the Wonder, with 2 stops at Castaway Cay. If I recall correctly, the 7 night choices were pretty sparse for 2010...but maybe they were just too point expensive, so I didn't even try. We're going to book our cruise portion while we're on board in September, so I'm hopeful we'll get some sort of stateboard credit or something...but, with DVC, I'm not too hopeful I'll get any discounts...they've already got us.

Then, for 2011, we're going to be shooting for either staying at Hilton Head for a week in the summer, or going to Disney World for the 2 weeks at Christmas!!

My dad is the DVC member and we're going again with him and mom in December. Right now were in Saratoga b/c that's all we could get. We're on the waitlist for BCV or BWV. Crossing fingers we get in.

That's great that your dad is a member...I hope that when DD is older that we'll be able to let her (and that she'll want to) use our points for trips with her family. Good luck with your WL too!! I'm sure I'll have to WL BCV for June, 2010, but I'm sure I'll manage if it doesn't come through and I'm "forced" to have to stay at BLT - LOL.
