Sept. 26, 2009 Magic

My Fart Puddy just arrived. :cheer2:

I am going to personally flavor them for each of you and perhaps add corn. :yay::yay::yay:

Hi again :)

Is it too late to get in on the wristbands? If not... could we order two adult and one child?

I started putting together my FE gifts tonight and it makes the cruise feel so much more real! I do have a question.... what is everyone doing? One per stateroom or one per person? So far I just bought gifts for the kids. I am still thinking about what I want to do for the adults. Is anyone else making a FE gift? Heck I still have to make a FE! And magnets too! Being new to Disney this is all so much fun. It really is a great way to pass the time.

I also started packing the non-clothing stuff. I can't wait to be on vacation again. We still don't have a room assignment. It is fun to keep logging into the DCL web site and checking but I can't wait to we finally find out where our room is. I am praying for a sideways room. It looks like that is a great set up with a knee biter ;)

Fatcat..... I must say after reading this thread and the main board.... you sound like a lot of fun! Find us onboard... I will buy ya a beer ;) Or we will find you in the terminal....with your flip flops!

Is the PJ breakfast still open for new people, or is it closed? I saw pics on the facebook page from a previous one and it looks like FUN.

I hope by joining this cruise late we still get to know everyone. Some of the best cruises we have done have been when we got to know people on our roll call. It's so nice to "know" people onboard.

Anyways.... have a great night everyone!..... or ummm I guess it's morning now. Yikes... 12:24 here. We are night owls for sure.... LOL

Boy, have you guys been quiet last night! What's going on, massive sickness? ;)

Bobbie, wow you are early with packing! Had this idea that I was bad, but no longer. :upsidedow

Good morning, everyone!! Just wanted to say that I hope everyone is having a great day so far!! And, since all the stimulating conversation seems to happen at night, I'll be stalking the boards tonight for some laughs. :thumbsup2

Morning All,

Wow, I had some reading to do again!!!

Crystal, I am jealous jealous of you!!! All of these trips planned -- I wanna go!!! I would love to do the DCL with 2 CC stops, but they always seem so much more expensive? :confused3

And an empty house, what I would give for an empty house for a week? I think I'll tell my dh to take a vacation and take our four kids to his mom and dads for a week. Who cares if they are only two hours away. That's REALLY far! :lmao:
It sounds like you are keeping yourself busy, though, so that is good! Time will fly by -- it's about half way over already!

I'm sure dh would love the flipflops. Who's organizing the switches for the flasks/bottle openers??? :rotfl:

I've got to pay off our WDW portion today. I keep putting it off and forgeting. We are looking forward to the free dining promo, although it isn't worth nearly as much when you now have to pay tips and no more appetizers. But it's free, so who's complaining???

Were working hard on getting ready for "back to school" here. The kids are still on the summer sleep schedule, though, and we're going to have to start working on that soon! :headache: I like them sleeping in. My kiddos are either a)not morning people or b)hyper as all get out, and I let them sleep as long as possible to put off the agony. :rotfl2:

Have a great day, all!

I am doing my FE gifts per cabin. I am making my gifts and right now just have 1 per cabin. I am waiting on the lady from ebay to get back from vacation so she can make my FE. She has done them in the past and does a great job. I will decorate it myself tho. I am making magnets also but have not done them yet. I am so busy with my daughters wedding that I may not finish cruise stuff till after Sept 6!!! :scared1:

You can still be added to the PJ Breakfast. Thought I already had you down, but may be thinking of someone else.....or losing my mind :rotfl:.....2 adults and a baby...right???

Good morning peeps!

I've heard great news this am, baby's passport "processing" has been done and it has been mailed. It took about 4 weeks.

I also have been thinking of what to pack for our upcoming cruise? I tend to overpack; outfit for each day with matching shoes, purse etc. Not this time, especially with extra fees for checked bags. We shall see how it all works out. At least I have my bathing suits , VS Fat Cat ;). and matching coverups.

Anyone with little kids planning to bring a stroller? I am debating bw full stroller or umbrella? Any suggestions? I will have a use of a full size stroller while staying at WDW House (off site) Thanks

I've started my list for packing since it seem we have to bring a lot more now with the baby. We're driving for the first time ever so thankfully no worries about baggage fees. Still trying to decide if I want to order diapers from that babiestravellite.com or bring my own. It would free up a suitcase at the end of the cruise for purchases :)

We're bring our Flyer stroller but it's also b/c we need it for WDW. And DS is only going to be 15/16wks at the time of the cruise. We're hoping he'll sleep through dinner in his stroller since we have late seating and that's his bedtime. If he was older I'd do the umbrella stroller b/c it's more light weight.

No kiddo's here ;) but I would bring along the umbrella stroller. A LOT easier to lug along the hallways and put in the trunk of a taxi if you want to venture out on one of the islands. It's not like you plan kiddo to be in there for days in an end, after all. (in which case I would take the larger one and put up with the downsides)

As far as packing goes; bring along accessoiries that are multipurpose. So shoes that will fit multiple outfits. Black and brown for instance tend to match with just about anything. Same goes for bags. You should be able to make it with one bag for stuff like WDW and tours and another bag for the more 'dressed up' stuff.

Do the same thing for outfits!! So don't lug along 7 outfits, because if you make a small stain on one piece of clothing; gone is the whole outfit. Bring along clothes that you can mix and match! This way, you'll need less. Don't worry about taking too little clothes. You are a woman, you will have more than you need. ;) And if not; you can always buy yourself a t-shirt in a giftshop, on the island etc.

As far as the toiletry goes; bring along smaller bottles etc. You can get generic small bottles at pharmacies and department stores, so you can put your favorite stuff out of the big bottles into smaller ones. Saves TONS of space and weight. Toss them at the end of the trip. Toss anything you can; saves you room for souvies.

We'll be on this trip for about 17 days. I plan on having all in 1 suitcase, minus the medical supplies, FE-gifts and formal dress and not planning on doing any washing. I'll be wearing boots during the flight, one pair of dressed up sandals and one pair of daily slippers in suitcase. Clothes will be brought along on the mix-and-match principle. Bras have to be multipurpose; have to look good, be comfortable, but do not want any hassle with 'oh can't wear this bra with this shirt because of the strap showing'. Nop, only bras with straps that can be shown if a shirt has a small strap. Toiletries; small bottles. Well, you get the idea ;)

Thanks a lot ladies. I do have a lot of mix/match items that goes along with couple of shoes. If I am short on clothes I might even go Topless :rotfl2::rotfl2:(NOT) or wear my bathing suit cover ups, very cute. In regards to stroller I love my Graco stoller but it is very bulk and heavy. I am renting a car seat for the portion of the land vacation, so less in my hands. Jacqueline, if you want to do some laundry prior to our cruise I will have full washer/dryer so stop by or anyone else? I wish I just had that margarita machine on my vacation!!!

Mentioning margarita's, anyone interested in Tequila/Margarita tasting while on board? I hope it is all mixed together. Thank godness I am not pregnant! So far Fat Cat is the only one doing some kind of alcohol tasting?

Daisy, I am buying the diapers, box of wipes and swimmers when I get to Orlando. Less expensive that way and we prefer Pampers Baby Dry which they do not carry. I just wish she was potty trained!

!

Each time I have done it you get 3 shots of different Tequla and two margaritas. For those of you who do not finish the Tequila I am there to assist.
