Sept. 26, 2009 Magic

Ok you people have a very good point, and well taken and I will remember the reasons when i see you all on the ship at meals and think to myself.
Hope no one takes this the wrong way. Everyone has different ways of dealing with things.

:confused: Sorry I just have to ask..are you responding to a thread that I started?? Or to something else? And did you finish your sentence when you said "the reasons when i see you all on the ship at meals and think to myslef"...Think to yourself what? I REALLY am not being scartisic..I just really don't understand...you didn't quote any thread so just trying to figure it all out. :upsidedow

Those uptight, stick up the ___, holier than thou, cry babies had to go and shut down the thread just when it was getting fun.

If you really want to be truthful none of us picked on anyone. Other poster said basically that we were the reason for teenage drinking and the erosion of our culture; we simply said that we would like to have good clean fun! :)

I think the thread being closed down was my fault...due to my last comment. I'm so sorry guys (*but* the good news is that we can still make fun of them over here - LOL)!! :thumbsup2

I actually try to attract as much attention to myself to detract people from viewing my parenting skills

Oh, don't worry - - apparently you'll be deemed a bad parent simply because you have the audacity to enjoy an adult beverage...or five. ;)

Becca and Kim: thanks for sharing. You guys are amazing

Off to find lodging in Palm Coast...our pre-cruise destination. Wish my MIL would sponsor a night in Disney. I haven't been there in nearly 9 years and never with my kids.

Becca and Kim - - I wholeheartedly agree with Ana!! I just can't imagine the trials and tribulations you must go through with your kiddos. Keep up the good work. :grouphug: :cheer2:

And, as to the whole DS issue, Ansley is another who loves her DS (although, given that she is perfectly suited for sitting down to 2 hour meals, bringing it to the table is a no-no because that would mean that meals would last longer than they already do - LOLOLOL). What games do your kiddos like? Ansley loves the Cooking Mama/Gardening Mama games the best. I hope that they come out with another one before September to make the 7 hour drive a little bit more bearable. During the drive down when we went in March, I swear Ansley did not stop talking for one second. And, because DH did the driving, I probably heard the word "Mom" 50,000 times. I've already told DH that I'll be driving down this time.

Oh, and Ana, just to enable some more Disney magic into your lives, since your kiddos have never been to Disney, you should really really think about doing MNSSHP with them before the cruise. The party would be a (relatively) inexpensive way for them to experience MK, especially in all of its Halloween glory. We went last year and we were able to get on all the "good" rides, the parade, and the fireworks, and it was soooooo much fun. AND, you get the added bonus of trick-or-treating throughout the park...who doesn't love that? We'll be doing it on the 25th this year, so if you decide to go, maybe we can meet up?? :flower3:

Crystal, I doubt that it was you that got it closed. If you ask me there were sharper remarks. But then again, maybe you might want to claim it as it will mean some of us worshipping you. ;)

By the way did you know about the 'not too as it should be' way to get all kinds of games downloaded onto your DS? That way, you can get dozens of games onto one card, ideal for travel. I love it! Yep, I'm a selfproclaimed DS lover. Heck, I've got a game paused while posting this. :rolleyes1

You'll probably already have found them, but there are a couple of nice disney DS games out. Disney Meteos might be a bit to tackling for Ansleys age (allthough kids tend to be better at it then we), but it's a nice game for mommy. There also is a disney princess game that is very much geared towards younger girls, but I'ld have to quit my game to find out the name. :scared1:;)

When is everyone getting to the port???? Is boarding at 12pm? I can't remember from our previous two cruises.

We are doing breakfast at WDW, need to still check on the Kona w/ Crystal --procrastinating, procrastinating... lol We are shooting for noonish to one; we're not in a hurry this time. Trying for the "walk right onboard" trip. :rotfl2:

Tailgating starts at 8:30 in the transition lot

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

:sad2: I don't want it to sound as if my boys are out of :furious: control monsters. They are on various RXs to try to get some of the conditions under control. My boys are very, very :lovestruc loving, :flower3: caring, sweet and  kind hearted kids. Are there days that we all end up :sad1:crying...Yes, are there days that we all end up :crazy2:frustrated and angry....Yes, but as long as the good days out pass the REALLY bad ones then I know we are doing something right. :woohoo:

Hey Rebecca,
Seems as if we have lots in common with you as well. All four of our kiddos are adopted with diagnoses as well. Life is challenging at times, but we love em to pieces, and they have filled a void in my life that I never thought would/could be filled! Looking forward to meeting your family soon!!!

Rebecca,

Thanks for sharing all that information about your boys. Hayden is the sweetest little boy but can be a major handful without any notice. His also has ADHD, social & learning delays and impulse control. He is starting 2nd grade and is coming along pretty well with the help of therapy and special ed. We chose to start him a year later to help make up for some of the delays and adjusting to medication. I"m really proud of his accomplishments but it's a long road. Just know, you're not alone.

Maybe we can get the boys together at the kids club?? There seems to be alot of 8 yr olds cruising with us.

Kim

That would be cool for the kids to get together and have "buddies' at the club!!! My eight year old is on the autism spectrum, so he tends to shy away from kids, but you never know. My nine year old loves, loves, loves friends to play with and is as hyper as the best of them. lol:rotfl:

We typically don't bring the kids to dinner because 2 hours is WAYYY to long for ours. It isn't something they enjoy, and they're on vacation, too! My oldest, turning 14 on the cruise, will be having dinner with us most nights. She's excited about her "freedom" on the ship, but along with it come rules and requirements from mom and dad! :lmao: We'll see how it goes.

Yes, they both are there. I thought I had all my FE gifts bought, but then I keep thinking of something that I "just have" to add.

lol, Rebecca, I keep seeing things, too, and say to myself -- "Girl you just need to make what you said you'd make and you're good!" I've got a bag of treats for the kiddos as well as a Castaway Cay "toy" per kid cabin, and making something for the ladies of the group. Whew, need to get busy. Oh, and dsis wants me to help her make what she is sharing with you all as well. That will be coming up here soon when she comes to visit in August. =)

Nah, not Crystal! Sweet, sweet, loving Crystal:cutie::rotfl2::lmao: No apologies necessary -- apparantly, we all were eroding the culture of the thread.

The drive down-- don't get me started... fifteen hours, four hyper kids that want to be at WDW YESTERDAY, I swear it gets harder as they get older!:confused3 The car seat days were really easy. :lmao: Just change your name in the car and don't respond to "MOM" :rotfl2:

We got that "not too as it should be" for our DS and it rocked!!!! Kids broke it, though, as they do with entirely too much ease. :lmao:

Randy and I love it too, but given that we are such big videogame players anyway (Rockband - LOL) it's not surprising. Ansley has the Tink and the Ariel games too, but she doesn't play those as much as the Cooking/Gardening Mama games. I absolutely adore watching her play the Cooking/Gardening Mama games - she gets soooooooo frustrated when she can't get something 100% correct - - she's a perfectionist just like her mama! :rolleyes1

Grin, those looks are adoring indeed!

Some other disney games are;
Disney Princess; Magic Jewels
Disney Friends

Especially the first one is something I think younger girls will like. Love don't know, but that tends to be trial and error anyway with games.

Has she ever tried one of all of the games around for raising a pet? It seems to be hate or like though.

LOL - I certainly won't fuss at you for procrastinating...I have enough procrastinating issues going on at my house relating to my FE - LOL. As to Kona, they never fill up, so we can always decide the week leading up to.

And, 15 hours with 4 kids...all I'll say is :worship:

AND, you and Jacqueline have both got me intrigued about this "not too as it should be" for the DS... I'm thinking I'm missing something.

Thanks for the recommendations -- I will put them on "the (neverending) list of stuff to buy her." Ansley actually does have one of those pet raising games for the Wii, but she's not really into the Wii yet (Santa brought her the Wii last year really only because her Mom wanted -- and could find -- a Wii Fit). :rotfl2:

lol, thanks, procrastination...the best way to light a fire under my booty to get something done! I do my best work that way! :lmao:

There's a chip you can buy for the ds, with a microchip that fits inside, in which you can "pirate" all the games on said chip, and have the motherload of games at your fingertips. I don't remember how many games it holds, but I'm thinking in excess of 100. Plenty, in otherwords. But, pirating, shame on us.:rolleyes1

Crystal, I'll explain on your facebook. Not sure if we can mention it here. ;)

Oh and send Santa my way, BIG time! I want a WII!
