Thanks...Hey, what part of Atlanta are you from? Tina spent about 10 yrs there before she moved to B'ham. She loved it there, but she does not miss the traffic on the interstates

OK, I have decided, you two need to change your 4 day to our 7 day...you have been on enough cruises to know a 4 day will only make you mad!

good grief... been too long since i've been on here and just got caught up reading posts. seems we've had a bunch more fun people joining our group! welcome everyone.

keith - love your energy (and the tats are cool too). we are traveling with 5 (including our DS8) and requested the late seating so we would be up for linked dining - fyi.

i think we will probably skip the lanyards this time round (like A_L said: so many its hard to justify buying more) but maybe the bracelets would be cool (and waterproof so the kids don't have to take them off in the pool).

i'm at work so i guess i should go...do something.

Thanks, we would love to link dining ...there are alot of 8 yr. old boys on this trip, but none with late dining. I wonder how many CM in the Club will need counseling when we leave the ship?

I will call DCL when we get closer and make the arrangements for the dining, I don't think we can do it this far out....

hal001, I just read your DD story, incredible...I know cancer is scary, I am 15 years "CLEAN" myself. I know it was tough on me, I don't know if I could keep it together if it was Joshua.....

I hope you don't mind, but I shared your link with my wife. I know she will put it on our prayer chain at church.

Does make one wonder if she means the ankles are 'good looking' or it's rather the tatoos that she likes. If it's the latter, there is a lot of room for improvement.


Just realised yesterday how addicted to disney I'm apparently already are. Kept telling myself it was just the movies, childhood sentiment, happen to like WDW, and oh well DCL just for the cruising. Somehow 'forgot' the fact that I worked with Disney products (amongst others) for over 3 years. Sounds like a pattern to me. Addiction, who me?

Okay, as a newbie need some help. What is the FE about? What specifically do you do with the gifts you buy? And how much do you bring? Also, the PJ party - what's that all about? Sorry, if someone explained this all before.

Outside Every cabin is a metal fish. It acts as a clip where Disney Staff clips any communications for your cabin.

A while back (I forget her name) but a hanging pocket holder similiar to a hanging shoe holder was looped around the fish.

Thus the fish extender was born. They now come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, decorations etc. Some with one big pocket...some with one pocket for each member in the party.
I myself bought mine from a lovely lady Tiffany on e-bay who is a seamstress and made me a custom one. It was about $35.
You can get much cheaper versions for under $10 though on e-bay as well. And if you are crafty I am told that a Fabric Store will sell everything you need to make one.

Anyways people sign up on the Fish Extender list and prior to the cruise a list is distributed with those participating and their cabin numbers. Often they are very detailed as to how many in each cabin, sex, age, allergies, tequila preference etc.

Then the rest is sort of voluntary.
It is up to you to distribute gifts.
Some people give one gift to each member of cabin or a larger group gift.
A lot of gifts are store bought and a fair share are homemade or customized.
Some people state who the gift was from. Some it is a mystery...

In my opinion it is just fun. Do not stress over who is giving what. Give what is acceptable to you and just have fun with it.

I still have pens I have not used from last cruise.

A couple cool useful things I got last time.

1. Zip cord on the first night to securely fasten the FE to the Fish
2. Pack of 4 mini highlighters to color code activities on the navigator
3. Actual Magnets on the door with our cruise them.
4. Mayonaise (Private joke...but I got a lot of it)


What I did last time was order a bunch of boy and girl pirate stuff from orientaltrading.com. I then sectioned it off in small ziploc bags and dropped them off.
