Sept. 26, 2009 Magic

We have started to think about excursions...we aren't interested in St Marteen so we think we may just stay on the ship, but St Thomas we want to do the Dubloon Sail and Snorkel and the Extreme Getaway thing for Castaway Cay.

I work 7 days a week, so I will be posting ALOT!:sad2: :sad2: My wife calls the disboards "my Crack":rotfl2: :rotfl2: I also have OCD, which explains alot. Last year was rough on me, no cruise to obsess(sp?) over.
If I get on anyones nerves, just let me know:scared:

OK, a few questions: 1) Has anyone started talking about their excursions?

2)Linked dining? (eating dinner with other disers and their family) Usually a family of 3 is seated with other families, it is nice to eat with someone you get to know from this board, or have kids the same age, so they can get to know each other.

3) What they are doing before and after the cruise...going to DW or back to DW after the cruise etc...

Ok, enough with the questions, you just met these people....:clown:

Wow lots of questions.

1.
Excursions? not yet. I am curious if a 2009 Passporter is coming out soon or if it did and I missed it.

2. Dining. we are going to be party of 8 so if you are on main dining we will be the table with several bottles of wine. Feel free to stop by.

3. Pre-Post - One of the nights I plan to do MNSSHP. I do not think they have released the dates yet.

But I think we should in a bit start to think about DIS meats.

I am a fan of

1st Tequila tasting offered
Meet in Promenade lounge(A/C) prior safety drill.
Late evening Cognac & Cigars near the quiet Cove

1) Has anyone started talking about their excursions?
Danny and I want to do under 2 flags tour On St. Marteen, and are doing a Snoking/tube/Bike pkg. at CC, other than that Nothing is decided

I'd love to dine with other Disers, last 2 cruises, tablemates were ok but nothing to remember

3) What they are doing before and after the cruise...going to DW or back to DW after the cruise etc...
We are doing DW before and after cruise, 3 days before, 1 after.

Our anniversary is Oct 2nd.

Last year it was a lovely day at Sea. I ended up passed out and in bed by 9pm

Happy anniversary...was it the Tequila tasting you mentioned or the sea day that caused you to pass out, either way, I know you were in trouble:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I guess I should answer my own questions:rolleyes:

1)Excursions: St. Maartin, I will be on Orient Beach:blush: , wife and son will most likely do the butterfly tour or take a water taxi over to the beach in front of the shopping mall. St. Thomas, we will take a taxi over to Megans Bay, and then back to the shopping mall. CC, we will do the couples massage at Serenity Bay, then back to the family beach to play with Joshua...

2)we are up for linked dining, we are eating late, we have an 8 yrs. old, my wife will have wine and I will have a mixed cocktail for dinner...I know TMI, but it might offend some if you drink in front of their kids.

3) We are doing DW the week of the 13th - 19th, then home for 4 days then back to the cruise. I own my own business, so I can not be gone to long.:badpc:

We don't have a plan on the excursions right now, I am traveling with a bunch of folks that start talking about excursions in the terminal while waiting to board the ship. UGH!!! So, I try to come up with something ahead of time and hope they are willing participants :)

The next edition of the Passporter comes out in April and you can pre order it now and you too can be the first on your block to get it at your doorstep :cool1: :cool1:

Keith, you're a nice entertainment center all in your own. :rotfl2: Keep it up, liked the pics!

Oh yes!! Did that about 2 days after booking the cruise, which would be somewhere around march 2008. Know I want to do a certain excursion on St. Thomas, want to go parasailing at CC and still thinking about St. Maarten. Will have to find out if we dock or tender first, though.

2)Linked dining? (eating dinner with other disers and their family) Usually a family of 3 is seated with other families, it is nice to eat with someone you get to know from this board, or have kids the same age, so they can get to know each other.

Haven't gotten into that yet, haven't been thinking about it yet. But you are right, it is nice to have somebody at the table you at least now somewhat. With me and Lieske only ebing 2 people, I'm pretty sure DCL will want to pair us up with others.

3) What they are doing before and after the cruise...going to DW or back to DW after the cruise etc...

Before cruise; flying in on the 18th, having a late-ish evening arrival at AKL for one night concierge. Than a full week at AKV, the new Kidani building. :cheer2: I'm already starting to stress out a wee bit about having so little time at WDW though, I'm used to way more than that. Adding the "I want to show Lieske everything, because she's new to it all" and knowing that can not be done, and you've got yourself another somewhat compulsive planner.
After cruise; be depressed while flying back home and starting the countdown untill the WB TA in september 2010.

You sound like me!! I plan and plan and plan and hope that everything works out in the end. My family just puts up with me and knows that there is no need in trying to change anything!!:rotfl: I too will also be very depressed as I fly back home and start the planning and countdown to September 2010!!! How many days is it already!!!???!!! 19 months, 3 weeks and 2 days!!!:cool1:

We will dock in St. Maarten, the only place DCL goes where you have to tender is Grand Cayman or Cozumel. I get those to mixed up.::yes:: (Unless something has changed)

OH MY! A "Disney Virgin", you can have alot of fun with that one:goodvibes :goodvibes You should be able to hit all the parks in a week, 4 Parks & one water park in 5 days can be done...we may never see you guys on the ship, because you will be so tired you may not make it out of your cabin for the week, but you had FUN!:dancer:

Hey Pam, I see you guys are from Miss., does that mean you like SEC Football? I noticed from the list there are quite a bit of "Southern People" on this cruise. If this is true, I think we need to schedule a Football watching party on Sat., I know we have the sail-a-way party @ 4:30, but there will be a game on at 2:30 and then again @ 6:30. "THE" Alabama Crimson Tide is playing Arkansas that day...Can someone say RTR!:cool1: :cool1: For those of you who are from the north, That means ROLL TIDE ROLL!

OK, I heard that....I will admit it, I AM A REDNECK COLLEGE FOOTBALL FAN.:worship: :worship: And yes I am in "Therapy" Isn't that the first step to recovery....:goodvibes

Pam, ah that sounds familiar! :) Don't get me depressed though! The 2010 one sounds soooooooooo far away!

Keith, from what I heard St. Maarten is one of those 'dock' ports that can actually require using a tender. Or that is the info on the disABILITIES part of the DIS anyway. Sounds like it doesn't happen too often, but if it were to happen on our cruise that would mean no getting of the ship for me. So fingers crossed!

I love those Disney virgins! Had my mom and a friend of hers with me on the recent december trip. Loved their gasps and doubtfullness turning into fullblown enthousiasm. Lieske will even be more of a treat to look at, I'm reckoning (she's enthousiastic from the start ;) )

And ehm, are you sure that you're only using DIS-crack and have OCD and not ADHD? Just reading up on your strategy plan for our 7 days of WDW gets me tired enough, bouncy guy you are! :lmao:

We'll be taking it a bit slower, though. But with the EMH and september hours, we should do pretty OK! And hey; we HAVE to slow down! I wouldn't want to look like a DCL-virgin on my second cruise in 2010. :scared: Besides, we'll have such a large verandah, we'ld better host a drink on it. Can't do that if we're sleeping around all day. :joker:

Football? Hmm, nop, I'm of no use at all on that department! :upsidedow

By the way; CHRISTAL! You're way to quite, how are things?

Is that not the best looking picture you have ever seen....Not the people, but the SHIP behind them.:joker: But the two on the left are kindy CUTE!::yes::

OCD, ADHD, MPH, ERA, I can come up with more...my wife would say I have them all and a few undiscovered ones.....I :drive: her crazy. But she has learned to use it to her advantage. All she has to do is plan a party at our house, and she knows I will not sleep until a "honey do list" is complete:crazy2:

Excursions: Nothing planned yet. I'm waiting to order and receive my Passporter in April. I haven't ordered it yet, but I'm soooo looking forward to getting it and reading every single word.

Dining: Would be great to meet up with other DISers at the dinner table. When do we have to set that up? We are doing early seating.

Before/After: Going to visit inlaws in Palm Coast, FL...just north of Daytona Beach. Have never been down to visit them since my kids were born, so it's time. But they are smokers and no offense to anyone who is, but I'm not staying at their house. So so smoky!! So we are getting a hotel room. I may try to convince DH that we need go to Orlando for the night we arrive and then go see the inlaws for only a day.

Keith: I love your pictures. I keep looking at them and it's just getting me more and more excited!!

Hey Keith. I did get the pics thank you so much! They turned out really beautiful. You have a lovely family. We haven't decided whether or not we will be renewing or not, but it certainly looked like you guys had a blast. BTW, is something wrong? Are you sick? I noticed you haven't posted since 11:37 a.m.:rotfl2:

Once we get about 2 months out, we can get a list of people that would like to eat together, then call with everyone res. # and say they are traveling together and would like to eat together.

Keith: I love your pictures. I keep looking at them and it's just getting me more and more excited!!

Thank you, I will share until asked to quit.....;) ;) :thumbsup2
