As most of you "old thread timers" know my DH was out of a contract for 5 months and just recently got a new one. And we have had a few discussion's regarding how to pay down our bills and still pay for the cruise in the time we have left. Well, a few days ago my hubby was offered a "side" contract to put in some new software, and several servers..The good thing is it can be done at night and on the weekends. And the best part it is exactly the amount we owe for our cruise..Now we will only have to worry about air fare and the hotel stay... we have the $850 obc so that is taken care of.

And the bad... if any of you have been reading the main boards...seems DCL likes the idea of the new kids club age changes..and as of today the stack will only be 14-17, which means our Jennah will not be old enough..she is going to be upset ..she HATES HATES HATES the kids clubs. And she has become close to one of the kids that is cruising with us..Chappel..and Chappel will turn 14 on the cruise and they wont' be able to be in the same group..that is really gonna make her UUUUGGGG hope they end up changing it back before we sail next year.

Maybe there will be enough negative feedback on the age change and DCL will listen and change it back. I will keep my fingers crossed for Jennah!

You will not have to worry about me and Jennah being in different groups. I also hate the kids club and I probably will not go to the Stack either!

Hi all. I've been really busy with work and home so I haven't had much time to post. I can't believe how big the group has gotten to be.
Goofieslonglostsis please include me in the SM. Just let me know what info you need from me for that. I wish that I had ordered my dress already. I hope to be trying it on at the store this weekend but I don't think I'll be able to order it until after the new year with bills and Christmas on the way.

Until Dh has his national board exam(February perhaps) our lives( really his ) are booked.

All is well here and just added another family member to our rolls...
a parson russell pup "Piper".The owners had no time for him, so I got him at the humane society.

Hi, guys!! Hope everyone is well! I was in serious depression last weekend because my hard drive crashed and all of my pictures (including all of those from DD's 4 years of life) were on it. I'm hopeful that we can retrieve the pictures, but I'm trying to be realistic that we probably won't be able to. Bummer, right?!? Note to self: external hard drive; external hard drive; external hard drive.

Did anyone get to take advantage of the buy 4/get 3 free deal that Disney announced last week? We played with the numbers a bit, but I think we can get a much better deal, so I'm holding out - LOL. Since we aren't going to be able to go to the parks before our cruise, we're hopeful that we can sneak in a week in February (*and* DD finally hit the 44" mark so we'll get to finally ride Expedition Everest and Space Mountain).

Well, I just wanted to pop in and say hi to my cruise buds. Take care and I hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

Disztagal; I'll need to know who in your group are participating, which stateroom etc. Added info would make it easier on whomever turns out to be your SM. Stuff like ages, likes, favorite caractre etc. You can PM me whenever you feel like it.

Did you have a chance to try on the dress? I was just too worried that the dress (or my size) would be gone by the time our cruise comes around. It has been online for a couple of months now, so I bought it. And it looks like I made a wise decision. Some sizes are gone. Mine is great though. Only needs very minor alterations.


Ann, got any pics of Piper? The humane society is great. There are some great animals that really deserve what they try to offer them; a good new home.


Crystal; seriously!? Ouch! I read about it allready yesterday, but was hoping you could at least save the pictures. Is there no wizzkid whatsoever that can retreive them? And nothing you might have still left on some memorycards hidden somewhere in the home you almost forgot about? I watched this item where they sometimes can also retrieve pictures from memorycards, even after they are deleted. As long as the memorycards didn't get a master reset, it seems like they still float around somewhere. I'm a stupidhead when it comes to this stuff, but maybe it's worth it to ask around what can be done? Hope you don't loose all of The Bigs momentos.

Serious life here too. That and fun life. Only 19 more days untill I'm back at WDW. But before that there still is a lot of work to be done. Job1 is rather busy as we're wrapping up the year (and I have to make sure they'll survive 2 weeks without me ) and job2 is going bananas. We've got 3 rather major shows within 4 days. I do all of the emails and phonework, so that's a lot of work at the moment with people wanting tickets.

Goofieslonglostsis, I will pm you either tomorrow or this weekend with all the info. As for the dress, I tried it on Friday and oh so bad. It just didn't work on my figure. I found another that I like even better with more color choices. It's a bridesmaids dress so I'm not worried about it being sold out but I am worried about it being discontinued. I would have ordered it this month but our second puppy needed to be neutered so the dress money went to the dog. Next month with christmas is no good either. So January it is. Most likely it will be available till then at least.

Jacqueline... I do have a pic of Piper(no pun intended! ), I'll try to get it posted this weekend after paddling. He's soooo cute. I actually went to the humane society for a pup for our DD and they decited that this dog wasnt their's .. he looked like he needed me more. Awwwww...

Disztagal... there's a nice place to see lots of nice formal and semi formal dresses on line.... David's Bridal ! LOTS of colors to choose from. I bought one for our last cruise... it was beautiful and under $100.oo And you bet Im wearing it on this cruise too! I think the only opne that may have seen it on me will be Fat Cat and family!

Awwwww, sorry about your dress, but I'm sure you'll find one that you adore!! I can't wait until after the holiday "cruch" so I can start shopping for dresses!!! I'm trying to lose about 15 pounds before our cruise, so I'll probably wait until closer to the Spring to start shopping. BUT, feel free to post any great websites or deals if you stumble across them!!

Well....maybe not so bad....Disney can be 'sometimes' lienient when it comes to the clubs...again, sometimes.

If you tell them (at the port or sometimes even before) that your child is almost 14 -(will she be?) then usually they are willing to 'work' with you and let her in to the 'older' club. Also, if you tell them there are others in your party - relitives, friends, etc. that are scheduled to be in the 'older' club and it's only really a year difference - most times Disney is willing to make the switch to make your child happy... *from my expierience, anyway.

Oh how sweet.....Piper is sooo cute!!! I have had dogs my whole life. I have 4 right now, 3 of which came from the animal shelter.

And I also have had dogs all my life.. life without MICKEY or a dog... what a sad life

It looks like we're be adding a little one to dh and I's room for this cruise. The baby will be 16 weeks old when the cruise comes. Thank goodness for lots of help from my family. My sister and parents are fighting over who gets to watch the baby while on the cruise. They are all pushing us to go to the spa and palo so they can keep the baby. The fun part is going to be getting a passport before the cruise since as of right now June 1, 2009 is the cut-off date for using birth certificates.

I can't believe less then a year!!!!

Firstly congratulations to Daisy & DH about the news of your Baby. I hope you will keep us all posted about how things are going.

Havent been around much lately on the boards, just been really busy with family etc.
Hope everyone is doing well.
In the Uk it is raining most days at the moment, but not not that cold yet.

Has anyone finished there Xmas shopping yet ?, I have made a start but have loads to buy . All I want to do really is pack for my trip to WDW on 27th Dec.

Haven't been to this thread in a while and my how it has grown! I have a lot of back reading to do...

I don't know if anyone hit the after Halloween sales for pirate attire or not. Just curious, how many folks are planning on dressing up for pirate night? I am (never miss an excuse to wear a costume) but husband is now second guessing his decision to FINALLY (after numerous boring MNSSHP nights) dress up. I am hoping to reassure him he will not be alone (other than me, because appearantly I "don't count").

If nothing else, he will have Disney ties. That has been my new goal, to find him masculine Disney accessories! I want him to have a different one for Formal, semi-formal, and Palo nights. Two down, one to go!

Has anyone started thinking about fish extender gifts yet? How's our count on participants going?
