:thumbsup2 cool another set of twins.. We have identical twin boys...they are 7, but will be 8 at the time of the cruise...Welcome!!!

thanks to chappel for hosting the kids thread. :cool1: DS7 wants to introduce himself (he wants a sig of his own but i'm not sure i want him to have that much power just yet:laughing:

That will be cool...our twin boys are 7 now and will have just turned 8 before the cruise..They would love to have a friend to play with. Last cruise they ere all alone, well, except for the two of them :rotfl:

i also think the lanyards are a great idea! i wish i could help but i wouldn't know the first place to start looking to order something like that

I know companies like Oriental Trading Compnay offers stuff like that, and other online company's. I could check it out if you all want me to??:goodvibes

?? about OBC: we booked thru AAA but were not offered OBC at the time. Should I ask? It would seem they should have said something:confused3 . I also have to remember to ask onboard for the price to rebook to see if its any less than what i have now:rolleyes1

I am not sure about AAA, but I do know that Dreams Unlimited is offering $200per cabin for our cruise date. :thumbsup2 I would personally ask AAA if they are offering any and if they say no, then let them know about DU obc and if they won't match it I would transfer your reservations..but thats just me ;) Every little bit helps..and $200 would just aobut pay for all of your tips :woohoo:

gotta go - dinner awaits:stir:

We booked this cruise while onboard a few weeks ago for the 'Double Dip' and got the OBC, then asked Jocelyn (DCL booking agent) to transfer the res. back to AAA since they were our TA on file. When I got home I spoke with my TA at AAA and she informed me she got all the info from DCL and the res. was transferred. She also assured me that I would get the Disney OBC AS WELL AS the AAA OBC of $200. Does that make sense?

Now my DH says the Disney OBC (for booking while aboard) is only $150...I thought it was $200...can anyone confirm? :confused3

I know that the obc from booking on board is based off of your cabin catagory. But..I thought is was $100 and $200?? WAY TO GO on your AAA obc as well. We also booked while on our June Mexico cruise got the $200 per cabin...we have connecting cat 6, and then transfered our reservations to Dreams Unlimited for an additional $200 per cabin....for a grand total of $800...oh and we used our Chase Disney Visa to book which was an additional $25 per cabin. :thumbsup2

We have a Cat. 5 and I think the OBC was supposed to be $200...guess I'm gonna have to call somebody to figure this out.....:sad2: (If only I had been paying attention....)

Maggie, it is $200 from Disney, we got a cat 9 and got $200.. but I think dreams is only giving us $100 for a total of $300.. hmm plus I used my disney visa so I should get another $25 then right??? this is all so confusing.. cant wait till im a Castaway Cay Vet LOL:rotfl:

Mojitos?? LOL not sure, but it will buy a boat load of Dr. Pepper :thumbsup2 And yes, it can't hurt to call or email about the obc. In fact if you call Disney I would be interested in knowing if they did lower the rebooking obc. Hope you find out soon, and that it is good news for you and your family. :goodvibes

This is my understanding. From Disney or Disney Visa you can only get one OBC. So in this case you will get $200.

If your TA wants to give you addintional OBC or cash back as in incentive it is a separate item.

Of course I could be wrong but this is how i understand the situation.

Welcome Mark and family.....let us know everyones names, cabin numbers and if you will be doing a fish extender and we can add you to our 2 lists. Looking forward to meeting you.

You are allowed to get both, at least when you book on board..and then of course you can transfer to a TA and get their obc ADDED to any obc that Disney gave you :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

That would be cool. Let me know the kind you all would prefer..I like the one with the zipper pocket...and do you all want a design?? And how many would I need to order?? This is going to be so much fun. :woohoo:

you may want to wait till later towards the cruise date to order. this way we get a list going and know how many we may need

Our group got a list of people together then once had a cut off date to sign up for it, a couple people got together and priced what we needed and about 10-15 people helped with the money part... I believe it was like $20 to cover lanyards, ink and paper for the pic to go on it. it really was a great way to see other dis members and break the ice!

stold this from one of my fellow cruisers trip reports (hope you dont mind Jen, but Sarah does a great job modeling LOL). I sadly didnt takea pic of mine close up and right now am to lazy to do that LOL

oh we also included the persons name on it with the DIS Boards persons name under it.

... those landyard look real cool.... :cool1:

If theres a list started... add 4 for me,( I think our names are on the list.)

I agree with Drea on this one...it is definately better to wait till it's a little closer to the cruise, maybe have a June cut off??:confused3

And I also have to agree that the lanyards looked AWESOME! I loved the whole look of the lanyard - strap and nametag - however I did not wear my name tag. I wore my Castaway Club strap with my small zipper pouch with my ID and KTTWC inside then attached the second plastic pocket to the strap. It really wasn't that big of a deal - maybe a little too much going on but my family (DH 33 and DS 3) never seemed to mind....

Just a suggestion....I will be willing to help out with these!

I think having a zipper one is good too... stuff kept falling out of mine.. like DotD receipts LOL and shutter card things. kttw card too LOL. Maybe a lil sturdier of pockets too both mine and P's ripped halfway through the cruise. we had to make another hole to hold it from the lanyard LOL

Sarah sure looks cute! :)

Welcome 'aboard' to all the newbees! Sounds like we're going to take over the boat. :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Those wanting to participate in the Secret Mickey, will you please send me a PM with the names and cabinnumber in it? Somehow our thread is becoming so buzzling, I think I might miss a postings and don't want that to happen, so therefor the PM. If you wish you can include the amount you think is reasonable to spend, so I can make a cut off that suits all. Can add that info later though. I'm thinking off having a cut off date somewhere about 2 months before our embarkationdate, so all of us have plenty of time to get their task done. What do you guys think?

Just adding something; Pam gave the great idea to also add stuff like peoples likings, fav. caractre, possible extra comments and celebrations etc. on the Secret Mickey file. If you ask me a great idea, so those wanting to use it; I'll be adding all this to the file and in the end handing it over to who ever will end up being your Secret Mickey....

Is that Jen as in Peter and Jen?? They have done the lanyards for every cruise I have been on. We always have the one that zips closed. The designs are kept simple. Most of the time it has the sailing dates and the cruise logo on it. We also have a card with our name, DIS name and the logo on it to put in the holder so people can know who we are. A great conversation starter! Everyone always looking at your name to see if they know you from the DIS. I always keep my ID and KTTW card in it.

We just need to start a list of who wants one and how many, have a cut off date so that they can be ordered in plenty of time. These can be handed out in the lobby or at the deck party or mailed prior to the cruise. Usually several people go in to help pay for the cost....sometimes using this as their fish extender gift to everyone. The cost can get pricey for just one person paying for all of them.

If I can remember, tonight I will try to take a picture of some of my lanyards so you can get an idea of how they looked. But Sarah is doing a great job modeling hers!! So cute!!!:)

I have updated page 9 post 122 (see the link in my signature) with information on our activities that have been planned as of now. If you would like to volunteer to help with any of them, just PM me and I will get you added to the list.

Be sure I have the names of everyone traveling with you, your cabin numbers and if you are participating in the Fish Extender game.

Lets make this a fun trip to remember!! :goodvibes
