I was reading on the boards about a few dates that had gone down in price so just to double check I repriced out ours....and here is what I found..

For two connecting catagory 6 verendah cabins with a total of 3 adults and 4children

What we paid $7,081 with $850 obc

What it is now with 11 months still to go.. $9,005.

That is just shy of a $2000 increase.. OUCH..now I see the reason why folks book while still on board and early. We would never be able to go now if we had to pay these prices. It will be fun to see how much higher it goes before we actually leave.

Rebecca, I think it's mainly caused by the 10% OBBD. Checked ours yesterday (2 adults, cat 6) and it only went up about $300,-. (logged in on privce tier 1)

But it will go up more, I'm sure. For instance if you look at the september 2009 one to Tortola, you'll get a nice glance at how high prices will go. That itinerary is very populair and allready A LOT more expensive than price tier 1.

I'm sorry to report we won't be joining you all next year.

Unfortunately due to a family wedding situation (cousin's wedding cruise on RCCL Oasis in 1/10) we aren't going to be able to swing paying for two expensive cruises in such close proximity. So we had to reschedule to 2010.

I am particularly sad to leave my friends from our last cruise. If you rebook onboard the 9/26/09...be sure to join us on the 10/16/10 Western

This thread is moving quickly now.
We will have to put our names down soon for the meets planned. I think the names ie ' Jammy breakfast explains itself pretty well, but Secret Mickeys has me puzzled a bit ?.

Also Disney Sweetie ( Pam) it looks like we are on another cruise together. The Westbound tranatlantic 2010. That will be soo cool.

Ebony; do you know Secret Santa? Secret Mickey is like that, but just add Mickey instead of Santa and you've got a great recipe to do this all year round. Those willing to participate sent me a PM to add them to the list. (hopefully with some info about themselves) A couple of months before the cruise I will match people up and sending out PM's to inform all who they will be Secret Mickey for. Let's say I'm your Secret Mickey. I will then go out and get you a small gift, which I will sneakily leave in your FE or stateroom without you seeing me. At the end of the cruise we all will confess who's Secret Mickey we were.

I'm hoping to be on the WB with you and Pam also. You don't even want to know how much I'm hoping. Was even dreaming about it last night, I've got it bad.

Jacqueline....save your money, keep checking with DCL and when something opens up you will be ready to jump on it. Last year I was able to get a cabin (CAT4) about 2 months prior to the WBTA sailing. Had to scramble for airfare but I made it. We will keep our fingers crossed for you!!!

I noticed some price increase (very very little, about $12,-) today online so booked myself a standard cat. 11. Still hoping something will open up and I'll be able to switch it to a handicapped stateroom later on and at least locking in the price max.

But first the countdown for the Eastern!
