Sept. 26, 2009 Magic

Disney Sweetie-
Thank you! I think we are in 6612 and 6614. We are not doing any fish excersions.
Thank you!!

Hey Chappel ... The rooms that you listed only sleep 3 or 4 people. So check and make sure of your cabin numbers and I will update my list. I am sure other families will join that have kids your age. That is a great idea to start a thread for you all to get to know each other before the cruise.

This will be my 5th cruise, DH's 4th and my kids' 2nd. I cant wait!!

Have a great day!!

Sorry about that! Ummm yes my aunt, uncle, and cousin have a different room and I asked my mom and she said that she didnt know what room their in. I'm thinking that they will be close to us so probably still on the 6th deck.

I did make a kids only thread. It is
Kids Only!! Sep. 26, 2009

So if you all have kids please tell them about it so we can all meet!

Crystal, are you guys settled back into the rythm of home yet? Or do you try to keep onto WDW as long as you can, through reports, photos and daydreams?

In a way I'm a sort of glad you missed that post earlier. The subject was rather touchy feely, so any word could either go over very well or rather wrong and no way of predicting it. It still takes some getting used there, but it is getting less so I'll get there.

The dress'mania' is getting around. The person joining me on the cruise got the same bug and sure enough; she also spotted a dress she just has to have. Friends all end up drooling over the same dresses. I stared to tell peop and myself to keep the secret somewhat, don't want to end up with half of the country ordering dresses from the same website. I like the "uniqueness" (they don't sell the brand overhere) and not running a major risk of wearing it at home and running into 3 other women in the same dress. :lmao:

I'm sorry for my delay in responding - I typically get to browse The DIS at work and we've been so busy lately that I haven't even had the chance to log in.

We are defintely settling into regular life, but I am *trying* to keep the magic alive by doing trip reports and, of course, we're still eating candy from MNSSHP, although we're down to the cheap stuff. :rotfl:

You crack me up about your dress shopping, and I know exactly what you mean about friends finding your dress drool-worthly and then going out and buying it too. I'd like to lose a dress size by our cruise so I'm going to hold off on dress shopping until I reach that goal (hopefully).

We're starting to get into planning mode with the friends who are crusing with us. I think that we're going to rent a minivan and all pile in it and drive down on the Friday before the cruise. Right now, it appears as if we won't be stopping at Disney and will stay at the port, but things can definitely change in a year's time. DH and I are still talking about going to the parks in February, but with the depressing news about the economy here in the States, it's difficult to think about not saving, saving, saving.

On some of the cruises I have been on, there have been...Mickey Bar Eating Contest, Jammie Breakfast, Scrapbooking, Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, Wine and Cheese Meet, Cabin Tours. This is just a few things I can remember.

Welcome to our Recent joiners. I like a Jammie brfst.

Turn it up! LOL! (Especially if you have a lot of Buffett!)
And actually it shouldn't be too bad. The obnoxious two will be in the room across the hall anyway, and Sarah will be over one year old then so she won't be crying so much.:thumbsup2

I am definately up for anything 'Breast Cancer'. I participate in 'The Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk' every year here in Tampa, FL (look it up). This would have been my 5th year but my OB would not give me clearance because I am preggers...:sad2: ... anyway, I know it was for the best. Next year the walk is in October again so I will need to keep up my walking while on the ship...60 miles in 3 days is A LOT of walking and needs a lot of training! :yay:

Awwww! Is Harper a pirate: or a princess: ?

Harper Grace will be a little girl 'pirate'....Little Avery will be so excited when she arrives 'hopefully' before Christmas...shhh....don't tell anyone...I was actually 27 weeks on the cruise...just 'forgot' to mention it to Disney.....:rolleyes1 (got FULL clearance from my OB though....)

Welcome to the bunch, everybody!!!

Maggie; congrats on Harper Grace!

Anyone else have a bit of a headache after seeing the 2010 DCL rates? They seriously think they've got wealthy customers, if you ask me! The rates for the Baltics are seriously out there. Hopefully my TA will be able to grab me a TA-repo within my budget. Dang.

Really shouldn't complain though. Got a weekend trip with the family for my birthday and didn't get wet feet yesterday eventhough most of the 'county' flooded and they even declared it a state of emergency and we had a crisisteam in action and all. No personal damages, so pretty funny to look at all of the pictures and be blessed not to have a flooded basement etc. :)

Congratulations!!! Sarah will have a litle playmate!:thumbsup2

I actually suspected you were further along...I noticed anytime anyone mentioned it on the thread you kindof sidestepped answering, lol! What DCL does not know will not hurt 'em;)

Yeah, that's crazy. I guess they figure their target audience isn't affected by the current state of the economy. I doubt we could ever handle a TA b/c of how expensive the airfare is. I'm intrigued by the 5 night Wonder sailings though!:rolleyes1

Okie Dokie....we can see about doing a Walk and a Jammie Breakfast....but I will need help! I will put it on our list and see what happens between now and then. I will try to get in touch with the ones that were in charge of the Jammie Breakfast on the last cruise and see if anything special needs to be done in advance.

I have also took part in the Secret Mickey....like Secret Santa....It was alot of fun...we could do it in 2 groups, one for the adults and one for the kids. Just a thought.

PM me if you are interested in helping with any of these activities....I can't do it alone!! :rotfl: No telling how it would turn out!

If you ask me, they are figuring wrong. Either that or there are more than plenty of either wealthy people or those with high and rising CC-debt.

5 night Wonder doesn't sound bad either. :upsidedow

'Thankfully' I'm used to the airfare. It's about €600,- (about $850 at the moment) to fly across all of the water. A one way from BCN to home is about $140,- so that doesn't really damage the budget all that much. A lot more expensive than the max. $100,- it would cost me to get to Dover, but totalling it all the TA is much and much cheaper. Purely looking at the starting rates, it looks like the TA is about the same range as the 7 night eastern. For that, it's worth it to me. But I'm not rich neither, so gave my travelagent (those TA's are getting confusing if you ask me) a budget to work with. If it fits; :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: If not; let them do the repo without me.

I love the idea of a secret mickey/minnie exchange.

I'll get pm off to you to offer what lil help help I can.
