Sept. 26, 2009 Magic

Sounds like you're a wise lady, Crystal. If you do have to 'do' any bad weather, WDW is the best place to do it at. :) Besides, you're taking so much bad weather now, the weathergods should really promiss you great weather for sept/oct 2009. Or is that just a tad too much wishfull thinking? :goodvibes

If it's up to me Xippe will be one big old Disney nut within no time. Hopefully he'll be into Pluto. Just one guess which picture I've got my hopes one getting in december. :thumbsup2

It sounds like we all have some good news everywhere!:cool1:
I dont think I could keep a cruise a secret from anyone. I'm too excited to that a secret, I tell everyone on the street!
Sounds like Xippe:dogdance: needs a whole day of cruise shopping to me
The car is soooo cool. Our cell phones are all hands free now using that sync program. You just ask it to call "someone" and it dials their phone.
Funny thing is... the sync likes me more the DH!!!:rotfl2: I can get it to play anything and he's still having it ask him repeatedly is this what you want?:rotfl2:
And more good news DD and DSIL just did their deposit for this cruise:yay:
So they can be added to the list and the FE list also, cabin number to be posted, because I forgot it:headache:

Have a great week, and Crystal... have a wonder-ful cruise.

Can everyone check list in first post and make sure they are on list and info is correct. If not pm or reply to thread and I'll get it fixed ASAP.

From What I've seen it looks as if most of us are on decks 6 and 7. I'm ready to sail now but really want to enjoy cruise not play dodge em with Storms.

Hello. My husband and I will be joining all of you for the cruise. We are celebrating my 30th Birthday. A month late but still. We are in Room 7566. I can't wait. :cool1:

Welcome 'aboard' Disztagal!

Sounds like it's not only going to be a celebrations cruise but a 30th-birtdays-celebrations cruise. Crystal, me and now you. We are such smart ladies to celebrate our 30th this way! :goodvibes

I agree, Goofieslonglostsis! We're all so smart. I had read that a while back (I'm a bit of a lurker) and thought I know that I picked the perfect cruise. Also, congrats on your service dog. I hope that the hometraining gets approved asap so you can get Xippe.:woohoo:

Great you came out of the lurking-position! :) Just realised you are a new poster (not reader :rotfl: ) on the DIS, so guess we'ld better be honored you decided to do it on the roll call. :goodvibes

You definately picked the right cruise! Well, one big downside if you ask me. Still 12,5 months to go.

Hometraining isn't approved yet, but we started anyway. :thumbsup2 Next session is thuesday. There really shouldn't be any problem getting the approval and if there is, we'll just go to the intern training at the dogschool. That will also start this month, so either way Xippe will come to stay at my home this month. Right now we're focussing on walking on the leash and no leashpulling. Xippe is a doll when he's off the leash, but doesn't appreciate the leash as much. I told him he'll have to learn or he wont go cruising. Now which dog could resist that? I'm sure he'll improve within no time. :lmao:

I totally understand the pulling on the leash. We have a weim and a gordon setter. Both pull like no tomorrow and one has been through 2 months of training specifically learning how to heel and not pull. It did no good, she still pulls.:confused3 I know that Xippe will catch on quick since he's had so much other training and he's trained to be helpful. He's probably way better trained than my two.
I also can't believe that the cruise is so far away. I've never had to wait this long before. We've been on two other Disney Cruises and only had to wait five months max. I think my husband is raly to scream since all i want to talk about is the cruise and what excursions to take. :rolleyes1

Lol, gosh do I know that feeling of driving others crazy over something wont be here untill many moons from now. Have you got anybody else in your surroundings that's as DCL-crazy as you or are we the only very happily and totally nut fruitcakes?

Didn't know what breed a gordon setter is, so looked it up. Good looking dogs! But does explain the pulling when I read about them having a mindset of their own. :lmao:

Ann, oh my gosh. That sounds like one smart sync. Liking you more than DH. :lmao: Hows the poor guy coping with him having to beg the sync? :rotfl2:

Xippe will do fine. It's pure conditioning in his case. He's almost 3 years old and started full training at the age of 6 months. He behaves perfectly on the leash while in a grocery store so it is pure conditioning that happened somewhere along the time he was with a fosterfamily. He can pull al he wishes, he's not getting anywhere being tied up to a 375 pound powerchair. :rotfl: If he wouldn't be able to behave while being on a leash he wouldn't have passed his exams. They still wouldn't hesitate to retire him if need be. But it wont, he can do it. He's prince charming without a leash so at least he should be able to become a bit less froggy while on the leash.

:welcome:

There's plenty of room for more on this cruise!

I bet the next time DH drives... the sync asks for me! :)

I totally understand about waiting for a cruise. Dh and I had our deposit on the maiden voyage of the Magic for 2 and a half YEARS before we went! We didnt know when it was leaving or where it was going or the total cost! But it was a great cruise!!!

Ann:flower3:

I'm the only Disney crazy one. My husband says that after this cruise he's done for a while.:sad1:

Thanks for hte welcome Ann.
I need to get to work. :surfweb: I'll catch everyone later.

Our DD grew up Disney, our DSIL didnt. They went on their first cruise last year with us... he's the one that NEEDED this next one:rotfl2:
Wait till he does his first cruise... he'll love it!

Sounds like you've gotten a great DSIL, Ann. You can never have to many partners in crime. ;)

Disztagal; threaten DH with going solo on the next cruise, you need your fix. :scared:

Disney has decided to see how much I can take. Pincode number 3 and 4 in my mailboxes. Yep; the one for free dining for certain dates in october, november and december. Twice. And sure enough; the dates we're going are black out dates and they're not willing to forget they blacked them out. Dang. Just watch. I'll be getting another bunch of pincodes for next september. I'm renting points so won't use a pin. I'm sure to get a pin then with this teasing. :lmao: :confused3

I just found us on page 3 !:confused3

Just more then 1 year from now:banana:

Yesterday I had a friend ask if we wanted to do Alaska next September...
Let's see..... cold for a week or playing in the Caribbean???

Hi everyone! I am back from my most recent Disney Cruise! It was great. Hanna tried her best to disturb us but we managed to get to Castaway Cay and Nassau anyway. Had some rough seas on the last day but it didnt last to long as the Captain was able to get out of them within a few hours. I think everyone on the ship woke up at 3am when we hit a big wave! Closet doors and drawers were sliding open, things falling off shelves. Over all it was a great trip and I have no problem sailing again with an approaching storm in the forecast. Disney knows how to take good care of you.

I booked another cruise onboard for Dec. 09 but will move it when the 2010 dates come out Oct. 7. Hoping to do a Baltic Sea cruise.....keeping our fingers crossed that Disney will take us there....Captain Tom even mentioned it while onboard last week....so we can only hope!

Welcome to the ones that have joined us over the past 2 weeks. I look forward to meeting you and your families. I will update my Fish Extender (FE) list. Let me know if I need to make changes or additions. If you have an FE by your name, that means you are doing a fish extender.

There were over 300 DISers onboard and we had approx. 126 cabins doing fish extenders! It was great. We had gifts everytime we went back to the room....Christmas everyday! I still have not went thru all of them. Lots of very creative ideas tho! Hope we have a good turn out on our cruise with the FE's....tons of fun!

Have a great weekend!

Hey everybody! Hope everyone is well! I am so excited we've almost made it to the one year mark lol. It won't feel so far away then...

So far, to prepare, I've bought my husband a Disney tie (lol he was less that thrilled, but he will wear and like it ;) ), got a super cute Disney Duffle to use as our "carry on" to the ship, and bought a Marie passport holder for myself! I'm going to get one for DH too...once he decides what character he wants. But these things are too cute, and just a few bucks on ebay, so those with kids may want to think about them as stocking stuffers!

We are planning on applying for passports soon. We've never done that before (Dave had one as a kid, but he doesn't remember the process) so if anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it! We were thinking of just printing the forms and then taking them to the post office.

We also just got a new puppy, Cupcake. She is our baby! I am going to miss her so much on our cruise :sad1:.

Just wanted to say hi and give an update!

Glad to see many are doing well this weekend!

And that the Hurricane was only a pest.:thumbsup2

DS... I can't image how many FE's we just hanging around:eek:
Glad you all had fun! And were safe

That would be a no brainer for me Ann. I hate cold.

Somehow I'm thinking I'm starting to spread the virus. Was talking to somebody this week about how relaxing it is to go to WDW or book a DCL cruise, knowing they'll provide the same kind of great service. She was so wowed and enthousiastic that she decided to come along. And I can't blame her! :lmao:

Things I can suggest DOn't sign form until you are in presance of passport person at POst office, get photos done at AAA if your a member or Walmart, CVS or Walgreens.
Everyone applying for passports will need a cerified copy of birth cert. to send with app. you will get it back.
