Ingrid - Hope your day gets better! I once locked the keys in the car WITH MY SON INSIDE OF IT! It was summer, so I started the car (being the good mom that I am) to cool it off. My stupid car doors lock automatically a few seconds after the car starts. I had him in the car and I shut the door to move to the other door to put Bailey in. Anyway, the air conditioner was on with him locked inside. The police came and got the car door unlocked. I was hysterical (I know, what - Julie - hysterical?!?!), wanting to bust the window open with my bare hands. All ended well, but I will never forget that. Blech.

Deanna - Oh I hope Kino is open on Sundays. I heard that it is open, but only from noon to 3 or something like that. And I'm sure that's only when they decide to open it on Sundays. I could totally see myself as the woman in disbelief in that story. The screamer. Yep, that's me.

Ok, I just read on cruisecritic site that they are open on Sundays but there are no sandal makers there. That doesn't seem that bad to me. I mean as long as they have a pair of sandals there for me, I'm good. I don't need to watch them make the sandals.

Oh Julie..that's must have been horrid seeing your son in the car and you could'nt get in. I did that once too. However, Channi was old enough to open the door. But she decided she did'nt want to. (my little angel!)

Deanna - I wasn't joking about shoe shopping. I am there. It's my big focal point of key west. That and some choc. covered key lime pie on a stick. I don't know what time we get to Key West or what time the Sandal Shop opens, but I really, really want to pick up a couple pairs for me and some for my mom and sister and sis-in-law. Dude, I am THERE!

Don't worry about it. Consider it a gift to your daughter from my daughter .

Does this sandal shop sell men's shoes too? DH is looking for a pair of (I call them) hippie sandals that have a really flat bottom and a strap of leather around the big toe and a thicker band around the top of the foot. They were really popular in the late 70s. Anyone know what I mean? If there'd be anywhere where he could find them, I'm sure it would be in Key West.

Ingrid ~ Airlines bankruptcies SHOULD not have an impact on flights at this late date. I booked with Delta, so I am in the same boat and did some checking. HOWEVER, keep checking to make sure they don't change your ticket reservation. ALSO anyone with "air miles" best use them up.

Julie ~ NO! Work is definitely interfering with my PLAY time. Actually, it is going a little too good. Have missed lunch twice in four days (I forgot!) and time is flying by ... Lotsa things to do for the lazy workaholic.

OBTW, speaking of her, when she called, she let me know they "were going for Chinese Food" ... then I hear this Ship Horn... Where are you I ask? Oh, we're docking in San Francisco ... we're going for CF in Chinatown. SPOILED WENCH!!!

They never came in! I custom ordered them and they promised they would be in..but still no blinds. Now these blinds are suppose to be for the guest bedroom...where the bridal party will be dressing. Kinda important..unless we want to shock our neighbours. Oh well..the Winnie the Pooh blanket will do in a pinch. Kinda ruins the whole effect though. I had the room all nicely set up with potpourri to make it smell purdy, and a little water fountain thing..you know, just the right ambience to keep the bride calm.

...and a Winnie the Pooh blanket for curtains.
(I gotta keep my sense of humour..I gotta keep my sense of humour)

Well I finally accomplished one more important task for this vacation, I finally made Lilo a reservation for a Kennel while we are gone. It's been on my list for about 2 months, and I finally made the phone call.

I'll have to skip my morning posting, I'm going on a field trip to the farm and estuary tomorrow with Holland. Gotta have the whole family ready by 7:15, that'll be fun! Then Holland has a marathon weekend of Build a bear birthday parties. One Friday night and another one on Sat. Morning. Needless to say, she is really excited!

Chad has classes for work this weekend, so I'm really hoping that I can spend some time at home and accomplish some packing!

Yes, the bridal party is dressing at the house, then taking a limo to the church. For their honeymoon, they are going to Cuba, but not until November.

We are leaving very very early on the 22nd. Do we win?
