I feel strange writing about what a great day I had with Deanna after Ingrid's terrible news , I hope this isn't inappropriate.

I want you all to know that I met my mystery friend Deanna, aka Cujobugs, today for lunch. We had so much fun laughing and talking. Let me tell you, you guys are going to LOVE her. She is beautiful and sweet and so dang funny! She is that cute and engaging dental hygenist with the bubbly personality you get to meet after you have to deal the Dentist! We had a stranger take our picture today and I will post it when I get back home. I also got to see the door signs that she made for those who asked her. They are great, you all will love them! She's very talented! Talking with her made her more excited for the cruise. I can't wait to see you again, Deanna!!!!!! We must meet up with bpicard9 when she comes in town! That would be so much fun!

I'll write more later. I'm out of town at my parents' house and I'm getting ready to put Jack in bed. I hope to check in tomorrow sometime.

Deanna and Julie, I'm so glad that you guys had a good lunch. How neat to meet and get to look at Julie's photos. I can't wait to see the pic that you took at lunch.

Southernmouse and I had lunch Wed. Her hubby was on a business trip down my way again. We were talking about how far behind we are in the planning and packing mode compared to you all!

Thanks everyone for your hugs. I'm sorry a put a damper in the day. I had gotten the call from my mother when I was just logging on to the DIS boards. And sometimes a person has just gotta talk about it!

My brother was diagnosed with astrocytoma back in the spring. In layman's terms that's brain cancer. He had aggressive chemo/radio treatments and then things seemed to be fine. He even went back to work. He came to visit us a few weeks ago and my mother commented after that he just did'nt seem "right". My sister-in-law had to drive back to Calgary cause he could'nt drive. He went to the doctors and after the MRI it was discovered that the tumour came back full-force and growing quickly. The doctor told him to put his affairs in order. It's just been a real shock for us because we really thought everything was going to be ok.

Alright..enough of this sad stuff.

Good news! We got upgraded! Cat 12 to Cat 10! Same deck..just a little closer to the middle of the ship (is this a good thing??) 214 sq ft. for the price of 184 sq. ft! Gotta love that! Oh, and a split bath too! Maybe they caught wind of my size and figured we needed a bigger room.

Oh..by the way..Deanna and Julie. I was going to meet you guys for lunch too. But I figured if I started walking, I probably would'nt have made it there until February. Glad you two were able to meet pre-cruise. Jealous..but glad.

Becky ~ Of course you can fly a small plane!!! It's called the Bernoulli Effect, you just roll the aircraft down the runway until it reaches 55 mph and presto, it starts to fly - See! Easy! Don't I remember something about you wanting to do the parasailing at Castaway Cay?

1) I'm an amatuer radio operator. AKA: Ham Radio...
2) Love books... You'll have to ask me in person about which kinds.
3) Jobs I've held: Pizza Delivery, Mortgage Escrow Rep, Credit Tech (FDIC), more Pizza Delivery, Financial Analysis & Reporting (Multiple Insurance companies), Business Analyst for a software company, did my own thing for a while, delivered packages for FedEx Ground & lastly ended up with a great company TJX. Do you know them?

First, Ingrid as one who has lost both of his parents in the past few years I can relate to your stress and pain. Glad Disney figured this out and rewarded you with the upgrade.

We didn't get an upgrade....at least for now (can I still hope?). We are in room 2512. Since we are at the very end of the hall, there probably isn't much reason for a door sign....lol.

Called DCL again. armed with the data that you all have booked excursions this week a supervisor looked into my situation. They were able to override whatever glitch was in the system. We are now booked into the Cozumel Ruins and Beach Tour. It goes to the same beach as the Cozumel Beach Break excursion and we get to see the small ruins that are on Cozumel.

3. Teaches Dance- DW and DD7 are planning a dance for talent night
4. Is our resident Disney movie expert- she is on our team for trivia
5. Loves to watch movies and music- Thank you Netfix!

Larry- it sounds like you are the team to watch at the game shows. The threads I read say the questions are disney related. It sounds like your family could win the grand prize cruise vacation! We'll be watching you! Also I loved the comment about the end of the hallway so no need for a door sign. Too funny. Now you are going to get upgraded to a Cat. 3 midship and wish that you had one!

Ingrid- I still feel so sad for you. How old is your brother? Glad for your upgrade! I can't believe you found that out already. I wonder if that means our documents are about ready to be sent!

smilingmouse- Since you are a french girl, can you give me a french message for your sign, such as "Welcome Aboard" or whatever. Also could you please check out this site and tell me if there is any eeyore things in French. It is a french site and so I can't navigate it well. I just point and click and wonder where it is going to take me! Anyway, there may be something cute with Eeyore and a saying in French. Let me know if you find anything.

Yes you do need a door sign, because we are in 2504, and Southernmouse is in 2500 so we will be walking allllllll the waaaayyyyy dooowwwn to the very end of that hall and we'll want to know when we are passing your room!!

No one can pass our room. The is no pass to pass through. You just keep walking to the end of the hall. That will be our room.

You know all of us level 2 folks should mount an invasion of an upper level....jk

As far as the Disney games....DW and DS10 are the movie geniuses and DD7 knows far more than me. Let's just say when we play Disney Sreen-it here no one wants Daddy on their team.

Yep, found the upgrade on the website last night. We're not a GTY anymore! Darn..I was kinda looking forward to bunking down in the broom closet..or would it have been one of the lifeboats?

I guess I should feel a little excited and priviledged to get an upgrade, but it really did'nt make much difference to me. We don't plan on spending much time in our cabin anyways. We plan on spending all our time in everyone else's cabin!! (just kidding just kidding)
