Thanks for the grat pic...it looks like the two of you hada great time!!!! Life here in MN was nice and quiet this weekend....I did a bit more cruise packing (early, I know...)!!!

Well, I'm off to the land of Nod....

night all!

I feel like while I was gone over the weekend I missed a lot. I went back to catch up.

bpicard9- I know your daughter starts the big "K" sometime this week. I am anxious to hear how it goes...and how YOU do! And I meant to ask you earlier, where is the Rennaisance Festival held around here? By the way, my favorite thing to do when we lived in St. Louis was to go to Cardinal games. I love that ball field.

Smilingmouse - How did the babysitting go?

ErinC - Wow! Lilo has grown! And don't worry, I won't hold your husband's dislike of cats (crazy as it is ;) ) against him - some people just can't stand them. With what he said about being completely happy with his 3 daughters - all is forgiven!

David - Still waiting for that last of 5 things we don't know about you! And I am curious about the books you read...any hints?

TX_DISNEY_FAN - Yeah for you for getting the excursions hammered out over the phone! Now you are set!

Kim - I am pitiful at scrapbooking, but that doesn't keep me from trying ( and spending way too much money on cute stuff for the books)!

Dennis - Have fun seeing Chrystina!! :love2:

Ingrid - Glad you had a fun day with your daughter - you deserved it! What kind of sunscreen did you use?

Just checking in after spending most of last week in LA (Lower Alabama). I was fortunate enough to see ErinC while I was there (as well as her lovely daughters and parents). I lovingly refer to her as my personal travel agent b/c if it wasn't for her I would not have a clue of all the good stuff to do like go to 'Ohana the Thursday night before the cruise to have dinner so we can see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom. Or go to character breakfast at last possible time slot to get breakfast and lunch for price of one!! She's a smart chic!

GilesFamily, I am very sad to hear your news. I will remember you in my prayers. :flower2:

Well here goes...

5 Things You Don't Know About Me:
1. Born, raised and lived entire life right here in Alabama.
2. Have a BA in English from University of South Alabama. Currently putting these skills to work talking "toddler speak" with a 22 month old daily. Best Job Ever!
3. My first trip to Disney World was when I was 20 years old on my honeymoon.
4. I met my hubby at a $2 concert on the campus of University of North Alabama. Cowboy Mouth was playing :rockband: . We couldn't hear anything so he thought my name was Teri and I thought his name was Nathan (we are Keri and Ethan).
5. I'm named after the lotion. My mother wanted a "K" spelling of the name Carrie (my great-great grandmother's name) after naming my brother Kevin.

5 Things You Don't Know About Ethan:
1. He has a degree in Professional Geography for the University of North Alabama which he uses to do GIS (maybe some of you computer folks understand what that is, because I'm not sure that I do after 5 1/2 years of marriage). He opened his own consulting firm about 3 years ago.
2. He played tennis while at UNA.
3. He is the most competitive person I know, possibly the most competitive person on the planet. He loves any kind of competition and usually excels at what he tries.
4. Based on #3, this shouldn't be a surprise...He loves sports. Especially football. His latest craze his Fantasy Sports which he and his friends talk about non-stop.
5. He is the male, adult version of our daughter. They look exactly alike! When I emailed ErinC Baylee's hospital pic, she said it looked like Ethan with a ribbon in his hair. And he's the best daddy (of course I'm biased here).

Wow, that took longer than I thought. It's close to midnight so I need to get in bed. I'm pretty sure Baylee will not take "Mommy stayed up until midnight" as an excuse for me to sleep in the morning.

OBTW, my DH asked for a estimate of how much this vacation is going to cost today. Now that's a scary thought!! :scared1:

Gosh I'm tired!! OOPS I meant Good Morning! :sunny:

I'm wishing everyone a great morning and week ahead. :teeth:

Now, I must get coffee in me or I will fall back to sleep........

I'll catch up we everyone later tonight. :grouphug:

DiDi :wizard:

The weather wasn't that bad, all you need to do to warm up was drive a mile and wow it got hot, Me and DiDi had a great ocean breaze... and our DH had a great time hanging in the waves. :cool1: :sunny: :sunny:

DiDi and her DH are great, her son is a gentleman, and cute but not tell him that I think at his age that isn't what they want to be called. Me and Didi can really chat. I was just luck in the cribbage hands DIDI plays very well and reminded me of some little things I forgot over the years. :cool1:

By the way everone I am A tall 4'11. Didi I am sure my Daughters smile is the only thing that helps me in pic people don't notice me anymore.

Now that I meet DiDi, Dh, DS I can't wait to meet the rest of you. I didn't have the corn last night because we stopped at moms and I didn't want to share, don't tell her. But we had a salard with the tomatoes and there where out of this world, thanks.

Well I better get ready for work. Didi I can't wait to see those pic and it was great meeting you and your family and yes you guys are stuck with me.

Less than 5 weeks     :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hi All,

Lets see...

#4 for me: BA in Economics, local state college.
#5 for me: Like NASCAR as well, especially since I played a detailed simulation game on the PC. Lots more going on than one long left turn.

Whew. I'm done. Gotta get DW online to get her thinking.

Also, I just purchased Microsoft Flight Sim 2004. I was able to take off from Grand Caymen, make a quick touchdown at Stingray City (Yes Dennis, an amphibious plane) and then resumed my flight plan to Cozumel. Later I'm going to try a touch and go from Gorda Cay (aka Castaway Cay)!!

David

Morning everyone! I hope everyone hada great weekend!

B &J's mom---babysitting was great fun :) I enjoyed playing games with the kids! I may be doing it more often, we'll see

One month from today, I'll be on my way to FL!!!!

Happy Monday everyone :)

Happy Monday Morning,

Wow I don't check in for 1 day and I have 3 pages to read. :scared1:

Keri, yes total cost is scary :scared1: ::yes:: . I have been adding it up and WOW!!!!! Fortunatley we only do something this big every couple of years.

Julie & Deanna, Great picture :cheer2: .........
DiDi & Marsha, sounds like a blast..........
After hearing about your guys great times I can't wait to meet everyone.

We should get out our docs in a few weeks :cheer2:  :cheer2:  !!!!!!! Then it will only be a couple more weeks to go!!!!!!!
How do you like my rational???

Ingrid more hugs and prayers to you. :grouphug: Hope your having an ok da :goodvibes

I've been making my mental list of things i need to get done pre cruise. and it keeps getting longer and longer :earseek:

Deanna- Yes, Clint traveled around the U.S. doing comedy. He was living in L.A. (not lower Alabama :) ) but doing a show in Kansas City when we met.

David - Your flight sim thing sounds fun!

We will be leaving for Florida one month from tomorrow! That sounds so good! I just hope I get my driver's license by then. At least I have my passport!

I can tell school has started. Jack woke up this morning with a fever. Let's hope they are both fine on Sept. 23. :wizard:

Is it strange that last week I wrote down on a piece of paper every article of clothing I plan on bringing on the trip? I think that may be going a little too far. :3dglasses

We leave for FL 1 month from tomorow too :cheer2: :cheer2: .

Dh and I were just discussion out travel day yesterday. Its an all day affair going from one coast to the other. We have 2 or 3 stops going, luckely only 1 stop coming home. Trying to keep them all straight (united keeps rearranging them on us), when and where we can get something to eat.....etc.

No Hurricane dance   :cheer2:
No Sickness for everyone Dance   :cheer2:

Julie I hadn't thought about the Drivers License picture ID issue.....luckely you got a passport........
Is there such a thing as "over the top" for OCD planners??? :teeth: from one to another

Hi All,

I get almost as much fun out of planning and anticipating my vacation as actually taking the vacation. Remember, I said 'Almost'. :rotfl:

I located the suitcases and made an effort to get the dust off of them and make sure neither of the cats has used it for a kitty condo when I wasn't looking. They hadn't. Whew!!

All you experienced cruisers, I've got specific clothes picked out for formal & semi-formal. I've also have an idea of what I can get by with for the other dinners/shows. My question is, do you end up spending a lot of time in your bathing suits otherwise? I know it's easier for us guys & boys to get away with. I'd appreciate any thoughts.

Also, I think Julie asked about books: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Tom Clancy, Stephen King, Crighton. Lots of others. Anybody have any favorites?

Back to work!

David

Yo Everyone :wave2:

Well, finally this project is pretty much complete  Have sent the the Royal Saudi Air Force on their way back across the Atlantic!!! Looking forward to going home for a few weeks. That would be El Paso, TX thew next few weeks :rotfl2: Looking forward to my own bed for awhile.

Chrystina  asked if I wanted to go with her to California for the two weeks before we leave for the MAGIC but I said NOT... :confused3 ... I must be slowing down in my "old age" :rotfl2: Will be in WDW this time next month :bounce: Looking forward to meet everyone....

Well, I am avoiding some paperwork ... so I best go get it done. :rolleyes1

Later

Dennis

It has been fun planning this trip, that's for sure. Being on this board really makes it more enjoyable! You guys are such a great group of people! :grouphug:

As for attire during the day. I spend a majority of the time with my bathing suit on under my clothes - which were t shirts and shorts for the most part.

Books : I like such a wide variety of books, I love going to the half-price book store and picking up a ton for half the $$$. Lately, my favorite author has been Jodi Picoult. I have a whole list of fiction books that I have read in the past year if anyone needs a good book to read! :3dglasses

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Only 1 month until vacation officially begins. 1 month from today, we will be enjoying the pool at SSR and looking forward to an excellent dinner at 'Ohana.
I can't wait. Today I put all of our reservations into Outlook so I can print a calender of where we are supposed to be and when. And I booked DH massage at spa. He just had to have a massage when I informed him that I was having my nails done. Oh well!! It's only money right?!? :rotfl:

Can I just say, I am so excited!!!

Hey everyone,

southernmouse- you get all of us planners crazy with excitement when you start talking about organizing your calendar! :cool1: We love it. Good for your husband for booking the massage! And you on the manicure! We love planners around these parts! :sunny:

It has been a busy chat day today. I can tell it is getting closer to cruise time and everyone keeps checking the boards. Anyone else besides Ingrid get an upgrade? GO INGRID!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

So Marsha I guess when we try to meet at Ron Jon's, we will look for the shortest gal (you), and you all will look for the tallest man(my DH). Then we will easily spot each other without holding the sign up in the atrium! :rotfl: Just make sure you aren't sitting down as that will throw a wrench into the plan!

Julie- that is cool how you met Clint. Were you front row and he noticed you or something? Did you throw your underwear on stage at him? Those comedy clubs are always so smoky and dark, I can't believe how he saw you! You must have been wearing glow in the dark hair spray. Good story. :bounce:

Keri- sounds like with Ethan's competitive spirit, he needs to play cribbage. The people on this board seem to be quite competitive when it comes to that game! Maybe he can join my DH and Marsha on their team of basketball. :rotfl: I'm also curious to know what Ethan learned in professional geography about Kansas. I'm sure it filled one paragraph of his entire bookwork. The paragraph read something like this............On the east side of Kansas, it is flat. On the south side of Kansas it is flat. On the west side of Kansas it is flat. Oh and by the way, surprisingly enough on the north side of Kansas it is flat. End of bookwork on Kansas. By the way, the parking lot that Julie and I met the other day was quite flat. :rotfl: Just in case you were wondering!
:wave2: :wave2:
Check back later. Deanna

You guys are making me nervous. I just haven't had the time to do any OCD planning for a while. It all got thrown in a box due to all the other "stuff" happening. I'm not too nervous though. I think everything is done, I just have to compile it all.

Northwest went on strike. I hope it's over soon. We're are also "outta here" on Sept. 22! At work today, I suddenly realized how close we were to our date. I had to prompt my boss to remind her to get a replacement in for me. Somehow, they think I'm not going. I DON"T THINK SO!!

Deanna & Julie, your picture is so cute! You guys look like you were having a really great time. Southernmouse and I were talking today(for about 85min. long distance... ) we should have taken a photo of us together. I don't think that we have one except for maybe at her baby shower about 2 years ago. Keri was "very" pregnant, so I don't think it would be the "best" photo of us together. ;) Maybe when I see her in a couple of weeks, we can get someone to snap a photo of us.

David: I think Chad has one of those flight sim games. He loves any kind of video game. He makes me so mad when we go to Epcot, because he wants to "waste" a bunch of time in Innoventions just to check out the "free" new xbox and playstation games. "Yeah right, free, didn't we just pay about $50+ just to get into Epcot!" But since I'm the good wife that I am, I just sit and wait patiently!!! :rotfl:

Julie, I'm so glad that you won't hold it against DH that he hates cats! He of course has no real knowledge of this board, and he'll probably kill me if you all start referring to him as "the cat hater!" Then he'll probably want to know what else I've said about him here! :rotfl2:

Well, I'm starting to get in panic mode over what I still don't have for the cruise. I need some black shoes to go with my formal dress, and I'm still rethinking, and thinking, and rethinking the whole pirate night costume thing. I keep thinking that we will be the only goobs in tropical wear. And I don't want the kids to miss out on anything fun by not dressing up. I thought about putting a post on the main board to see if anyone is still wearing tropical wear. Oh these difficult decisions!! :p

Hi all....

Ingrid, I'm flying NWA too, but I'm trying not to stress over that too much.....we all know I'm stressing enough over other trip details!!!

Regarding books, I tend to like thrillers/mysteries. I'm also a big HP fan. I've just discovered Diane Mott Davidson's books...like those alot. One of my friends got me a copy of Wicked, and I'm looking forward to reading that. If anyone needs to read HP6, let me know and I'll bring it for ya :)
