Hello All,

Not to add to the confusion but the City of Key West has listed 7:30PM as the departure time for the Magic. Now I am REALLY confused. I guess it Really doesnt matter. I will be in Palo's having dinner at Sunset time. Any suggestions on how to get a good seat (on the window).

Folks,

NASA just announced that all future shuttle missions are grounded until further notice. They have found that insulation did come of the main external tank. They think this shuttle is OK, but don't want to risk further missions. You may want to say an extra prayer when the shuttle does try to come home 10 days from now. For an engineer like me (although I don't work for NASA), these sort of things are very disappointing.

For anyone else excited about about a possible launch while/ before we cruise, it won't be happening.

At least NOW I know how to schedule us when we get to Orlando.

Larry - Ain't it a bear when things don't go the way we ENGINEER them? Will definitely say a Prayer though - Don't want any repeats! Not sure about window seats in Palo's

I wonder if the 7:00 pm time is correct and they just haven't updated it on the disney cruise line site or if it is actually 9:30 pm. Oooooo...I love a good mystery!

I can't believe how fast the summer is flying by, kids will be going back to school in a few weeks, already did some shopping yesterday.

This may be a stupid question, but, what the heck is a "conch fritter"???

I've never had the chance to taste one, but I've heard it described as a 'seafood meatball'.

Please tell me if this is an accurate description. I've gotta know.

Conch Fritters

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1/2 Cup Celery -- chopped
1/2 Medium Yellow Onion -- chopped
1/4 Medium Green Bell Pepper -- chopped
1/2 pound Conch Meat -- ground
1 whole Egg
1 each Egg White
2 Tablespoons Milk
1/4 tablespoon White Wine
1/4 tablespoon Tabasco Sauce
1 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
6 Tablespoons Flour
1/3 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/4 ounce Granulated Sugar
1 Teaspoon Baking powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1/4 tablespoon White pepper
1/3 Teaspoon Italian Seasoning
2 Tablespoons Parmesan Cheese -- grated

Mix all ingredients together in mixer with paddle. Or mix by hand.

Put all ingredients in before turning on...do not overmix...do not undermix

Refrigerate for 2 hours. Deep Fry at 350 F. Use ice cream scoop, do not make too big.
They will be fairly dark in color when they are done.

Serving Ideas : Serve with cocktail sauce.

Darn..I don't get the Travel Channel.

I think conch is a type of snail..I think. I don't know what it tastes like, cause I don't eat seafood. I know it comes from a conch shell. I'm from way up North here. Ask me different ways to cook deer meat, and I could recite a whole cookbook, but a conch. It sounds like something you might buy from Ikea. (notice the Svedish reference there, eh?) (and had to get a bit of Canadian reference in there too, eh.) I'm so confused now not sure what I am..a Svedish Canadian?

Ok..everyone..this is totally non-related to the cruise, but I need help!!

My daughter's bridesmaids are putting together a time capsule for her shower. As a mother of the bride, what could I put in the time capsule? I'm totally stuck on an idea. Apparently, she will open up the time capsule the night of the wedding. I think a lesson about the birds and the bees is kinda out-dated now, isn't it?

Soooo.....a conch fritter is some sort of ground seafood (ground snail yuck).....deep fried.....meatball????? Hmmmmmm........I think I can pass on that one, more room for Key lime pie mmmmmmm.

DD does love the Escargo on board though...that was until she found out what it was.. We didn't tell her till the second night......she was very disgusted.... Does that make us mean parents ? But she has overcome her disgust and plans on having some again this time.

Ingrid: Perhaps you could write your daughter a note or letter...rolled up and tied??? A mom to daughter thing.
