You can set up the yahoo group so that you get individual e-mails. I much prefer it that way. I'll tell ya what, Julia and Deanna. I'll send off a posting through yahoogroups, and you can tell me if you got it! What your member names? Mine is MrsGringo (as if you could'nt have figured that out!). If you go to the yahoogroups disneycruise homepage and click members and look for my profile...and if you are brave enough..there is even a mugshot of me. And...no...my first name is NOT listed. It will remain a mystery until Sept. 24th! This is like a game of Rupilskilskin (spelling?)..you know, the fairy tale where the ole troll tries to guess the name of the baby?

Oh, man! I think when I got your email it listed your first name! I didn't want to know! It's a lovely first name though.

Ingrid - How did you get to pick a username? Mine just used part of my email address as my user name. Plus, how do I reply to your message on the Yahoo thing? I'm stumped. :listen:

I can't remember how I made a username. I think somehow you can go into your profile after you login and pick a name. It's been a while since I set one up. To reply to my e-mail through the group, is you can just click the e-mail link that says "Post message". It is, of course, is going to all members though. Let me go and investigate.

Did you have to sign up for a yahoo account before being able to access "disneycruise"? And of course followed by being "allowed" access? (they do this to keep out spammers) At that point they would have asked you to put in a Yahoo ID. That's where you can pick any name you want. Well, sometimes, unless the name is taken.

I have had a yahoo account for a couple of years. Now I wish I had picked a different username. When I signed up for "disneycruise" they just told me what my name would be (part of email address). Oh well! Thanks for checking for me! :)

Deanna/ingrid/Julie/Foxes - Well you guys were chatty :grouphug: last night!

Deanna - Nope - NO sign! :rolleyes1
Didn'tyou know engineers are boring? - Sorry Larry. :teeth:

Well ... Over the hill & thru the woods for me today ... Must make my way back to Bangor for the next week... :moped: As the saying goes in my family - First ask Dennis "How are you?" then "Where are you?" ~ Chrystina  is a very patient wife. :rotfl2:

See you guys tommorrow ...

Dennis

Julie and Ingrid- I got the mail. I'm still going to call you Ingrid also. I love the new pic you posted, Ingrid as your avator! You still don't look "quiet" to me! :cool1:

Dennis- if you would like a door sign, I would be happy to make one for you. If engineers think that door signs are geeky, then I won't be happy to make one for you. :flower:

Have a great day. It is in the fifties right now. Almost a record low. They said Ancorage, Alaska was warmer than Kansas City right now. Wow.

Have a great day! Deanna

Well, last night DH and I officially decided that we are READY to take this cruise! We recently purchased a beach cottage and have been bustin' our behinds ripping out walls, carpet, floors...pretty much anything and everything that is nailed down! It's all good but we are SO tired and sore. :crazy2: Until now, we've been so focused on settlement that we couldn't look ahead to 9/24. But now...

I actually started thinking about what outfits we'll take for the formal/semi formal nights, got the courage to buy a new swimsuit yesterday but still haven't learned how to play cribbage. I'm going to read my passporter (again) and decide what we'll do in ports. Looking for something in Grand Cayman. There's no way, no how that DD or DS will swim with the stingrays so maybe we'll just find a spot on 7 mile beach to hang for a few hours. We visited Sea World in April and they wouldn't even feed them in a tank so I know they wouldn't set foot in the water with them. Is the turtle farm up and running? Maybe they'd like that and we could just take a cab. I think we'll do our own thing in Key West - there's a shipwreck museum that the kids might like and I think we're just beaching it in Cozumel but there's the question of which one. Sounds like there are several that are good.

OK, 9/23...c'mon so we can leave!!!

Dennis - Have (another) fun trip! Be safe.

Deanna - I am just giddy in this weather! Hee hee! :tilt: By the way, what's your Yahoo name?

fourfoxes - Sounds like you all have been very busy. You will deserve and enjoy this trip even more! Yeah! I think already know what all of us are wearing for formal & semi-formal nights. Have fun planning your port days. :sunny:

David - Did I see your name on the new members page?!? Yippee!!!!! :flower:

Hi All,

b&j's_mom: Yup, I've used Yahoo groups for a while. Thought I'd check out what all the talk was about.

Formal/Semi-Formal: My DS9 wants a Tux!!! Oh Boy! I was looking around for one of these Mickey Tuxedo vests. Anybody seen these? You need a special shirt w/these right? And a bow tie too. I think I have black slacks, that fit. :rotfl2:

Key West: Has anybody rented the "Conch Cruisers"??? The little electric cars? I thought that may be a cool way to take a quick (25MPH) zip about town.

I guess the clothing issue is the biggest issue here...

I found a great picture on the DCL picture thread of a sunrise off of the back (aft) of the ship. Now I can't find it again and I wanted to use it as my desktop on my work PC. :badpc:

Oh well, back to cribbage on my palm pilot unless I can think of a better way to spend the balance of my lunch.

Talk more later.

David

PS: I FOUND IT!!! Yipee!!!

David - Wow, what a great picture! It's really beautiful, I can't wait to get on the boat and see it in person. :goodvibes I think your son would look so cute in a tux! Although he probably wouldn't appreciate being called "cute" at the age of 9. Handsome, maybe? I have heard of the electric cars, it seems like a good idea to me.

Happy Wednesday Everyone,

Very Chatty, took me a bit to catch up.

Let us know if there's anyting interesting on that Yahoo thread :)

Gorgeous picture David. We considered the electric cars but since its soo crowded there and not wanting to have to find a place to park it we decided to just do a walk around.....leaves extra moo-laa for Margarittaville :cool1:

Anyone heard about this sunset at KeyWest??? If we leave KW at 7pm won't we miss it??? Or will the sun be setting earlier then???

Ingrid: I will still be waiting to find out your real name.

Deanna & Julie: We are predicted to hit 101* today :sunny:

Four foxes; We are Soo ready to go too.......

Anyone else notice there has been little hurricane activity lately....it that good or bad ya think???

Talk at ya all later :grouphug:

Kim - In my information, I have us leaving Key West at 9:30 pm, but I could be wrong. I hope we are able to see that famous Key West sunset! Sorry about your 100 degree plus heat. I am so happy our is over for a little while. It's in the mid-70s here. BEAUTIFUL DAY! :sunny:

Ladies ~ OFFICIAL Sunset at Key West on 25 Sep 2005 is 7:21pm. :sunny:

So grab your sweetie by the arm and, walk the beach, stand on deck or take a stool at Sloppy Joe's Bar. It is impressive if you haven't seen it before BUT beware, it happens quickly!!!

David ~ Look up Key West Web Cams. More than enough to keep you busy. :teeth: MAGIC is currently docked.

Electric Cars??? Like Golf carts? Okay who is our NASCAR fanatic?

Deanna - Let me talk to Chrystina  cuz I know if I go get the materials and start a door sign, she will NOT let me finish it. :rolleyes1 Have been designing a website ~ Maybe I will just use one of the page designs from there - Chrystina  was shocked that I could be so creative. :rotfl2:

Any other astronomical and/or nautical calculations ladies???

Dennis

I was a little confused about when we are leaving Key West too. I think I read in the Passporter that it was early, 7 p.m., but then the cruise website said later, 9 p.m., so maybe that was something that recently changed.

We were thinking of renting one of those electric cars, but I also heard that parking is horrendous. So I guess it would be ok if you wanted to scoot around Key West but not stop!

We are planning on taking DD back to the ship after our Ernest H. museum visit (to see the cats!) and then take DD back to the kid's club and head back to Mallory Square for the sunset ceremony thingie. I heard there is cats there too. I read somewhere that there is a Catman with his performing cats. I just GOTTA see that. Cats that will actually obey demands? Unbelievable! If I told one of my cats to do something, they would look at me, and then proceed to tear up my persian carpet. :cat:
