Giles ~ I think I know yjay version of the Serenity Prayer too. :rotfl2:

Julie - I don't see your sign either (not even with the hyperlink)

Door Magents for Chrystina  will most likely consist of a Kitchen Magent :rotfl2: Yours truly is NOT enabled with crafts skills. Getting Chrystina :love:to do it is probably out of the question ... Her plate is FULL already.

Julie - "ALICE" in wonderland? :cool1:

EVERYONE ~ We NEED NEWBIES!!! Who keeps scaring them away? Or is that me?

Dennis

I've come to the conclusion that our group will be the only people sailing! We are going to have the whole ship to ourselves! Not sure who was gobbling up all the reservations on the Disney cruise site, but it's only us sailing! :rotfl:
Ok..so I live in a dreamworld.
I did find someone on another group (dare I mention it?). However, when I tried to sell our group and ask him to come on over, he told me he did'nt know English very well, so did'nt want to join our group. :confused3
I guess I would never make a good Welcome Wagon lady.

Julie: locked out of the link too.

Well, have I mentioned that me and computers don't get along? Let's try this:

It is not centered here, but it is in real life. Hee hee.

Dennis - Yes, from Alice in Wonderland. What a great movie! I have tried to invite people over as well to join our thread, but got no response.

Giles family- I would be happy to make you a door sign if you get confused. I use Ink Jet magnet sheets made by Avery. I purchased it at an office supply store. They are thin magnet sheets so they fit in your printer just like paper. They turn out great! Let me know. If you want me to make one for you, I'll just have you email me some pics, or send them to one of the online pic sites such as ofoto.

Julie's looks awesome too. Deanna

Has anyone else heard of this? I was just searching around another discussion group and they said this came directly from DCL. How is that going to affect our reservation links?

"Due to guest feedback, there will be a slight change in the rotational dining times during your voyage. Guests currently scheduled on Main dining will be assigned a dining time of either 5.45 p.m., 6.00 p.m. or 6.15 p.m. Concurrently, guests scheduled on Second Dining will be assigned seating times of either 8.00 p.m., 8.15 p.m. or 8.30 p.m. It is our hope that these staggered dining times will provide for greater ease of movement throughout the ship prior to and following the dinner service. Please check your dining tickets located in your stateroom upon arrival for your assigned time and restaurant rotation.

In addition, each evening`s entertainment options will be arranged to compliment the revised dining times. Nightly entertainment options will be detailed in the Personal Navigator that you will receive in your stateroom"

Julie- where did you get the disney font? I tried to download it from one site but couldn't get it done.

Ingrid - I am curious about this, too. Maybe Dennis needs to investigate? :teeth: I would assume that we will all be together at one of the late seatings, but I wonder which one. What time was our original seating time, 8 or 8:30? Now I can't even remember. Adios!

I thought that rotational dining discussion was from this spring when they were trying new things. And then they stopped it. It was only temporary. Have they now reinstated it for good? How old was that discussion?

Julie- that is where I tried to download font and couldn't figure it out previously. Thanks anyway.
Deanna

Hi Guys,

Julie, great door sign, :flower: My DH has a DCL shirt with that picture with the signatures on the back...

I haven't worked on mine in a while, haven't actually printed them on the magnetic paper yet. Better get back to them.

Deanna, it took me a while to figure out how to download those fonts too.

Dining.....I had also heard about that but thought it was temporary not permanent..I guess we would all need to choose the same dining time?? :confused3

I found info on the Navigator's series for those wondering:
(passporter) Listed under: Learning thru Seminar's:
Qoute:" Programs include "The Making of the Disney Magic" (the captain presents a video showing the history of the Disney Magic from concept to construction to maiden voyage and then answers questions) and Captain's Corner (a Q&A session with the senoir staff covering just about everything involving the cruise and the ship-its's very impressive, informative, and fun). Available on the Magic only."
Hope that helps anyone who was wondering :goodvibes

Well, the animals are fed and the dogs are walked. Ahhh Life on the farm. :cool1:

Julie - Great Sign!!! Never know, I may be embarassed into making one - OF course, then I will be REALLY embarassed!!! :rotfl: This old engineer is NOT very creative - Just organized!!!

Deanna - Could you send me the brand name on the magnetic paper? Have not seen that. I could probably handle it.

Giles & Julie - Have you determined if this "revised" dinner rotation is affecting our cruise? Have no problems checking, just give me the baseline information or the thread where you found the discussion.

Giles - Where did you find this other thread with the non-english speaking folks? I am convinced that there is some BIG group out there. Love a good puzzle!!! Love solutions better!!!

Will have to go to my PC today and get the countdown info ...

Off to St Johnsbury, VT today ... :wave2:

Dennis

I found the info on this site (below), but when I read further into it, it looks like it only applies to a 3-4 day cruise. Sorry, I don't know how to hyperlink, so if ya’ll wanna take a look, ya'll hafta cut and paste. You can borrow my scissors and glue stick if you want.

http://www.wdisneyw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38436

And then I read that even if it is a staggered dining time, they basically feed everyone the same time anyways...just trying to avoid long lines. I should learn to read EVERYTHING! :rolleyes1 Sorry, it was late last night, and I was multi-tasking.

And then I found someone who was cruising on Sept. 24 on here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/disneycruise/

I only seen him post once, and then he disappeared. I scared him real good. :scared1:

I hope the moderators will let me post web links on here. I heard there was some kind of rule against these things. But I could be wrong about that too. :upsidedow

Hey Deanna,
I'm going to attempt to make this magnetic door sign on my own, and if I fail miserably, I'll take you up on your offer! Thanks for offering! :)

Well, they give you that cool pirate bandana at dinner, so maybe I'll wear that. I think I had it on for a short time last time, so there's my pirate spirit. pirate:

The bandanna is cool but beware...when your forehead perspires, the black and red dye bleeds onto your skin. We made sure to wash the bandannas out and dry them before we came home so we wouldn't spot our other laundry.

We also took along some black adhesive moustaches that we wore with the big hoop earring. I found them in the Halloween section at our local Dollar Tree (I'd think that stuff will be out in late August/early Sept. after the Back To School stuff goes away).

Black mustaches and bleeding bandanas. We are going to be a riot on pirate night. I noticed on one of the favorite DCL picture threads that one DIS group actually decorated their table for pirate night. And even watched Pirates of the Caribbean on a portable DVD player in the middle of their table. WOW. And I thought we were organized!

Dennis- The paper I used was from Office Depot. It is called Ink Jet Megnet Sheets made by Avery.

Julie- thanks for thoughts on helping me out. But I don't think my cell phone will work while downstairs on the computer. It usually has no reception right where I sit for the computer. How fair is that? I will keep trying. I'll see what I come up with. I'll check the cell phone again also. I have dial-up so I have to use my cell when on the phone and internet.

Ingrid- Good luck on your door sign. You will have fun making them.

Dennis- As many DCL trips as you have taken and never a door sign? I can't believe it! Being an engineer, you will probably end up putting the details of the ship on your magnet. Such as the ship weighs so many tons, and it is how many feet long, etc. It seems like engineers like statistics.

Ingrid- I'm trying to join the yahoo group to see what that site is like. I'm waiting for my confirmation email.

See ya. Deanna

I joined the yahoo group this morning and I am already accepted (Man, was I nervous waiting ;) ) but I can't figure out how to post things. And I guess you get an email every time someone posts on anything? I will have to get used to it.
