Do you have that store still Hilo Hatty? When we visited on a cruise we loved that store!

Yes we do there is a Hilo Hatties at the main mall (Ala Moana Center) and their flagship store on Nimitz Hwy towards the airport. I don't get there too often tho.

Me too, it hard to wait. We have brunch at Palo too.

We also have tickets for MNSSHP but on oct 3. So we had to wait a little bit longer. We have 2 weeks after the cruise in WDW and planned our ADR. We only hope that California Grill will be open then. But you only can book it from november, so it will be difficult.

It sure would be fun having us all at Palo brunch around the same time

We are staying after from 9/26-10/6 so that we can do the Tower of Terror 10 miler! oh my - this month is walking 4 miles - next month start running or trying to

We got all of our ADRs - mostly dinners.

What is Chef Marketplace tour?

This is a walking tour "around the world" and across the international marketplaces with a Festival chef. Learn how the menus are created as you sample 5 preselected food items and 5 preselected beverages. Guests will also receive a cookbook as part of the tour.

This was new last year and sold out - the cost was $90 plus tax pp, no gratuity and was held on Wednesdays at 10:30 am (2 hours).

I cannot open the link for group 2 in google docs. Group 1 works fine.
I could do it before. Can you help me, because I am in group 2.
I can see it in FB, but I work with google doc, so this is easier.

I picked the 11:30am-12 port check in. We're driving to Florida and staying with friends who live really close to the port the night before. I didn't do the Palo thing which I'm okay with. We will check when we get there for any openings for brunch or we'll just book it for the next cruise.


We're going on a boat, yippy.

My son doesn't know we're going yet and it is killing me to not tell him. His birthday is next week so I set up the phone call from Mickey to let him know about the cruise. Totally going to cry when the phone rings.
I was going to give him little gifts as clues a few minutes before the call. Any suggestions? I already have a Disney gift card for him.

What can you get him? How about a little plastic boat like you put in the bath tub? A plastic duck, some sea shells etc. make a fake ticket in word as a boarding pass for him with his name on it? Just the casual buffet lunch in cabanas. It's nice after boarding. You should check it out if you get onboard in time.

I just love those kinds of surprises!
I love doing them and getting them.

I like the idea about the balloon - hide it in a closet and then bring it out when it is close. And the boat idea was good too. If there is a disney channel on tv maybe put that on as well (no cost). If you had a pin you could give him that might work also.

Or go to walmart/target and check out their party area for something that is about $1 - I got some Fab5 stuff one year and gave it to my sister the week before Christmas as turndown. We are big kids at heart and she loved it! The next time we travelled, she did something similar for me.

Not sure but I think you just show up. I was reading navigators from somewhere recently that they had the tour and if the time was right it was about 2pm or so.

If you book it, I think the sign up is at guest services.

I've read different opinions about the dinner attire and I don't mind making my son wear pants and a polo but how do people feel about shoes for the kids? Do you think anyone would care if my son (and/or husband) wore those closed toed sandals to dinner? I don't want to bring dress shoes for my son if I don't have too.


On another note, my BIL and SIL and their boys just left shore on their 3 day Dream cruise. - sad for me, but happy for them.

From what I have read on the boards, I don't think it matters too much for the shoes. No, I don't think it would be an issue to wear the closed toe sandals.

If your son is going to the kids area, I know they serve dinners there as well and there they don't have to change - they can stay in shorts. My girlfriends kids only ate with us once because they had so much fun in the kids section.

Ohhh you can get some great tips from them? If I new they were going, I probably would have given them a list of things to check out for me

Is this your first Disney cruise? I would be so excited. Besure you check out all the great information that is on these boards! I never get tired of reading them. When I get Disney withdrawals I come here and read others who are going ~ keeps me filled with the Magic.
