Was thinking about going the last two full weeks of September but when I was looking at dining reservations a lot of times are already booked. I also noticed the park hours for some of those days have been extended. Would the beginning of September be a better time to go?

F&W & MNSSHP make it busier late sept. That and FD is also available but it doesn't impact crowds too much. The HP expansion may also increase orlando crowds generally too.

We are going in early sept and have had our dining reservations for over two months so it's not a great shock the popular places are booked - it's the same for any time of year :) there are always plenty of nice places to visit though! Early sept is generally less busy but we are there 9-18 and I'm not worried about crowds in the slightest.

It will be less crowded earlier in September...but it shouldn't be bad in late September. Free Dining usually means that ADRs get snapped up quickly...and the most popular restaurants always book up 180 days out.

Especially if you are going for two weeks...you will be totally fine in late September. Without looking at the crowd calendars, I think the difference in crowd levels is like 1-2 for the first half of the month to 2-4 the second half.

The end of September is a great time to go. Still quite warm but the crowds are non existent. Good Luck!!

Moving the Food and Wine Festival up a week has made the last two weeks of September more of a draw (especially since FD covers most of those dates, compared to the virtual blackout for all of October).

It will be more crowded than earlier in the month, but not crowded crowded.

We were there the end of sep last year when f&w started and crowds really weren't bad. We used easywdw park reccos and generally had 10-15 minute waits for most rides. Enjoyed the less crowded time so much we r going again in sep this year.
